Cover Artist: Kris Norris
Publisher: Resplendence Books
Available at Publisher / Amazon

Mick is a lone wolf in all ways. He’s left his pack, he’s left his homelands and he’s on the road, footloose and fancy free. Well, at least until he wanders up to a fence and finds a little wolf running his ass off behind it. Mick stops to let the pup out and is stunned to hear the young wolf, Scotty, tell him “no”. Scotty's mate and best friend, Danny, asked Scotty to stay behind the fence, so he will be safe while Danny fights to support them both. All this leaves Mick’s fur standing on end. Maybe, Mick doesn’t need one mate to bring him home. Maybe, he needs two.

Excerpt:
He dropped his wolf form as soon as he was out of sight, his body lengthening into a biped. “Dude, why are you in a cage?”
The pup yelped and scrambled back, leaping onto the porch.
“Hey, I’m not here to hurt you. I can open the gate.”
The pup looked at him then boom, a lovely lean man stood there, shaggy blond hair curling around his face. “H-hey.”
“Hi. Would you like to run? I can get you out.” God, the kid was adorable and plenty old enough to play.
“Oh. Oh, no. Daniel would be so mad at me for getting out again.” Eyes the color of brandy caught the sun. “Daniel says I’ll get hurt, lost.”
“Does Daniel mistreat you?” Because Mick could beat someone down just for fun.
“Daniel? My Daniel?” The pup’s laugh was happy, joyous, the look on his face fond and warm. “Oh, no. Daniel loves me. He works for both of us. He brings me half his food every day. He’s a good mate. We… The Alpha said ‘too many males’, and we… Daniel pays for this home, he brushes me, he works all day every day.”
“Do you work?” Mick tilted his head, waiting, nodding in sympathy. Damn, it was hard for bachelor males to manage when thrust out on their own, especially ones who needed an alpha as much as this one did. It seemed like the kid barely held it together, at least on two legs. Sweet baby.
“I paint. I paint pictures, and I wash Daniel’s uniforms. I… I get… He follows rules better than me, and he can stop a shift, if he needs to. He can even work during the moon.”
Mick smiled, liking this kid a lot. “What’s your name, honey?”
“Scott. Scott Miller. What’s yours?”
Scott. It worked.
“I’m Mick Eagleheart. I like your belly. I kinda want to lick it.”

Welcome Sean Michael today

Everything Old is New Again

It’s always exciting to have an older, out of print book come out again with a new publisher. You get to brush it up a bit, get a new cover for it, and bring it to the attention of your newer readers who never had a chance to see it before.

I’ve just had The Dog Next Door rereleased by Resplendence Publishing.

Keifer’s a vet with a secret. Felix is his hunky next door neighbor. One weekend when they’re both out enjoying a beautiful Saturday morning, Felix asks Keifer out for dinner and ice cream. One thing leads to another and the two discover they’re very compatible, in and out of bed.

Keifer’s got that secret, though, and he’s not sure exactly how to tell Felix about it, and he’s more than a little worried about how Felix is going to take it. What happens when the truth comes out unexpectedly, and that truth has a tail?

**Publisher’s Note** This title has been previously released. The cover art and publisher have changed.

I also have The Wizard and The Thief being re-released next month:

Plum is as good a thief as any he's ever met, aided by the fact that he has a little magic to his light fingers. So when he's hired to steal a wizard's treasure, he doesn't think twice.

Corm is no regular wizard, though, and he finds Plum absolutely enchanting, deciding he must have the pretty thief at all costs. When secrets arise between them, Corm finds he might lose everything he's worked so hard to gain with Plum, and he has to summon more than just his magic to set it right.

Look for it at Amber Allure on April 6: http://www.amberquill.com/AmberAllure/bio_Michael.html

Chatting with Sean Michael

Totally Covered by Sean Michael

Thank you, Dawn, for the opportunity to share my upcoming release here at your Reading Nook.

I have a new book in the Handcuffs and Lace series coming out from Resplendence Publishing on October 30th. This one is called Totally Covered and Mal and his Doms took over my brain until I had finished it.

Mal has been Burke and Darby’s sub for a lot of years. As an undercover cop, he needs the release his once a quarter visits give him. Burke and Darby get a lot of out of the visits, too. Both Doms, it’s important for them to share a sub now and then to keep them on an even keel.

All that changes, though, when Mal is shot on the job and needs to stay with Burke and Darby during his recovery. Can his Doms bring Mal out of the funk his last undercover stint has left him in? Or will the three of them finally go their separate ways?

Excerpt:

Burke was surprisingly nervous.
It wasn’t like they hadn’t been friends with Malcolm for over twelve years. It wasn’t like Malcolm hadn’t been to the house hundreds of times in those last twelve years. They’d shared wine, laughter, good food, wild sex. They’d loved on Malcolm, torn him inside out, and rebuilt him countless times. They were Malcolm’s ground. They broke him and put him back together, so that he could keep doing his job.
Being an undercover cop was stressful.
Malcolm didn’t have family or friends. He had Burke and Darby. And they liked it like that. It meant they could play hard without having to bring someone new into their relationship. Hell, Malcolm was their sub in all but a few practicalities: that he didn’t live with them was the biggest.
All that had changed when Malcolm had been shot two weeks ago. Their lover had been hurt on the job before, but never like this, never in a life-threatening manner. Malcolm had stayed with them many times in the past, but this time he was coming to recuperate from a physical hurt, not a mental or emotional one, and Burke found himself nervous.
Darby chuckled. “Babe. Relax. It’s Malcolm.”
“I know, but…”
“But you’re worried he’s going to find out you’re a closet baker?”
Burke threw the pillow he’d been moving from one couch to the other at Dar. “Ass.”
Dar plucked the pillow out of the air and turned to wriggle his butt in Burke’s direction. “I thought I saw you admiring it.”
He rolled his eyes, but couldn’t help laughing, relaxing. Dar knew him so well.
Warm, strong hands landed on his arms, Dar giving him a little shake and looking him in the eye. “Malcolm needs us, just like always. Would you have him turn to anyone else in his time of need?”
Burke’s “No!” was immediate and heartfelt. No, Malcolm was theirs.
Maybe that was the problem—he and Darby knew that, had known it for over a decade. Malcolm on the other hand… Well, their boy still believed he had a choice, still believed he wasn’t impossibly entwined with them. Burke didn’t know if Malcolm was ready to discover that he was indeed home when he was with his Doms.
The doorbell rang and Burke growled a little as he headed to let Malcolm in. “I still don’t understand why he didn’t let us pick him up from the hospital.”
“Because he’s still the most stubborn son-of-bitch you’ve ever met—he was shot in the chest and belly, not the head.”
Snorting, Burke flung open the door.
“Hey.” Mal stood there, bag in hand, white as milk and swaying. “I’m here.”
Thank God, they’d seen him every day in the hospital, so they knew that the heavy muscles had become lean, that the short, short black hair was shaggy now. This undercover assignment might have destroyed Mal, even if the bullets hadn’t hit him.
Burke kept his growls inside and bit back his complaints about Mal not letting them come pick him up. Instead, he stepped up and wrapped an arm around Mal’s waist, taking the man’s bag in his other hand. “Welcome home, boy.”

Look for it on October 30th from Resplendence Publishing!

Welcome Cheryl Dragon today

The Alpha and the Outcast by Cheryl Dragon
Genre: MM Shifter Erotic Romance
Publisher: Resplendence

Thrown out of his leopard-shifter colony for being gay, Zane Adams is lost. He wanders into trouble, ends up injured and finds sanctuary in a resort near Lake Tahoe called Shadow Valley. Bronson Carter is the owner. He leads a pack of misfits and rejected shifters. Zane instantly knows Bron is his mate, but the reserved Alpha needs some convincing. Bron melts quickly and shows his sub-side in private as he discovers Zane’s story. They both have no one…until Zane’s brother shows up. Bron wants to keep Zane with him but doesn’t want to divide a family. He urges Zane to stick with his colony, but Zane won’t listen. If Bron isn’t his mate, Zane is sure he will never have one.

Teaser Excerpt:

Confused and trapped, Zane didn’t like it. He’d escaped one group that tried to force him to bend to their will. He wasn’t joining another.
“I’m under house-arrest? I’m not going to run off and leave you short,” Zane said.
Bron’s broad shoulders and hard body blocked the doorway. All of Zane’s dreams had been about the sexy Alpha who’d saved his life, carried him to help and looked in on him daily. But the romantic notions vanished.
“In my experience, loners can be troubled. Until I find out your full story, I’m taking any chances.”
Zane shook his head. “The doctor said you were a savior of lone shifters. You said I was safe here.”
“You are safe. I just need to make sure everyone else is, too. Some people leave packs or groups because they were abused and beaten down. That can lead to them acting out and abusing others. Some are loners who aren’t used to sharing and working together. Not all, but I don’t take chances.” Bron studied Zane.
The feeling of inspection made Zane fidget. The pull remained; this guy was beyond sexy and powerful. “I should just leave and send you the money. You don’t need to be bothered with me.”
“What are you running from?” Bron asked.
“From jerks like you who want to bully me into doing things their way. I’m tired of being used and put down. Never good enough. I’m not putting up with that here, too.” Zane got up and stood toe-to-toe with Bron. “Let me go.”
“No. You need help. Reno isn’t far, but they don’t have a lot of woodworking jobs. That’s a place of users and abusers, as well.” Bron moved forward.
Bron’s heat and scent made Zane want to give in. “I can take care of myself.”
“Let’s start with the truth. Will you tell me more about your colony?” Bron asked.
Zane shook his head. “I was never a top hunter or anything. I couldn’t. I wouldn’t. There was no mate for me there. They tried to force me because it was all about reproduction and growing the colony numbers. Another group benefit was a bigger pool of potential mates. I didn’t fit in.”
“You believe in that one-mate myth?” Bron scoffed.
“I believe I’ll know what I want when I find it. I know I lust after men. I’m not going to be forced into anything.” Zane pushed on Bron. “Let me leave.”
“Not a chance.” Bron shoved Zane down on the bed. “Will your colony be coming after you?”
Zane gasped and felt the weight of a full-grown man on him. There was more power in Bron than he let on. His knees pinned Zane’s thighs as Bron’s hands held down Zane’s arms. No fear filled Zane, only desire.
“They threw me out. They won’t come here. I won’t be your prisoner. You’re treating me as if I’m a criminal.” Zane struggled.

Other than being behind the wheel of a race vehicle, this good looking hot shot hasn’t got the first clue how to harness his ego or his talent. Until he locks gazes with Royce. Then all bets are off.

Royce Darden doesn’t play around. His no-nonsense attitude propelled him to the head of the merchandise sales at Flash. He’s good with numbers and facts…and a crop. Few people know about his wilder side and what he needs in bed. He sees the inner submissive in Ethan screaming for a turn. Can Royce convince the young driver that switching gears could be the key to his racing future?

Teaser Excerpt:

“Royce?”

“You’re only hot shit until the next wonder kid comes along. Prove why you’ve got staying power so Collin will have to keep you around.” Royce gasped for breath. Few people worked him up to the point of yelling. Ethan had made the short list. Royce shoved both hands into his hair. “Maybe no one has ever told you no, but I will. Stop being a shit so you can do what you love.”

Ethan didn’t say anything for the longest time. He stared toward the floor and shuffled his boot-clad feet.

“Thanks,” Ethan mumbled. “Collin told me we needed to hang out more. Said you’d be able to sell my crap better if you got to know me. Sounds like you already do.”

Before Royce could respond, Ethan met his gaze and grinned. “Now, do you want to fuck?”

“You can’t be serious.” So much for the emotional breakthrough Royce had expected.

“I can be, and I am.” The grin widened. Ethan winked then headed to the back of the motor coach. “And you can’t knock a guy for trying. Now, where do we sleep while this sucker’s in motion? Ooh! Bunks. Top one’s mine.”

Royce groaned. Dear Lord, this would be a long ride.

Book Spotlight-Off the Beaten Path by Lucy Felthouse

Off the Beaten Track by Lucy Felthouse

When workaholic Libby Strong’s friends and family make her take a long overdue holiday, she’s not impressed. A week of lounging by a swimming pool and doing nothing is not her idea of fun. In an act of rebellion, she books a day trip, touring in a jeep. When her guide arrives, Libby’s astonished to discover she’s the only patron going on the trip. But as hunky Demetrio takes her off the beaten track and deep into the beautiful Portuguese countryside, she soon leaves her worries behind and hangs on tight for the ride of her life.
Available from:

Excerpt:
Libby huffed and puffed as she made her way up the steep slope leading to the rear exit of the hotel complex. She swore the builders had had secret CCTV cameras installed so they could watch people suffer their poor planning for years to come. At least it was early. Had it been lunchtime, she’d surely have passed out with the heat.
Ah well, Libby thought as she finally reached the road, it’ll be worth it. This trip is going to be amazing.
As she stood on the mercifully flat pavement and got her breath back, a thought niggled at her. Nobody else was here. Panicking, Libby wrenched open her bag and pulled out her paperwork. She examined it, then a glance at her watch confirmed she had both the right date and time. So where was everyone? Yes, she was ten minutes early but surely the others should be here by now? Looking down the slope she’d just ascended, Libby frowned as she saw it was deserted. Everywhere was deserted.
Fuck, she thought, perhaps they were all here earlier and they’ve gone without me!
The rumble of an engine distracted Libby from her worries. Turning, she saw a jeep trundling down the road towards her. She watched hopefully as the driver pulled the vehicle up beside where she stood and reached into the passenger seat.
Picking up a clipboard, the man glanced down, then at her, and said, “You are Libby Strong?”
She nodded.
The man grinned widely, revealing dimples in both cheeks, and hopped out of the jeep. Walking around the vehicle to where she stood, he held out a hand.
“I am Demetrio. Your guide for the day.”
Libby took his hand and shook it. It was warm and strong. Much like the rest of him, she suspected, as she gave him a subtle once over. He was tall, with black curly hair to his shoulders, luscious brown eyes and olive skin. A white t-shirt bearing the holiday company’s logo covered his top half—though without obscuring his impressive biceps—and he wore longish tan colored shorts on the bottom. A pair of non-descript white-ish trainers and faded red cap completed his outfit.
“I’m Libby,” she said, even though he already knew her name. She was just being polite. “Pleased to meet you.”
They broke off the handshake and Demetrio smiled again, then moved to the passenger side of the jeep and pulled open the door.
“Please,” he said, gesturing she should get in.
Libby did as she was told, but couldn’t help asking the burning question.
“Where is everyone else?”
Demetrio waited until she was safely in the passenger seat, closed the door and made his way to the driver’s side. He got in, then turned to her.
“There is nobody else. You are only person on this trip. You get best views!”
He laughed then , the flash of white teeth against olive skin resulting in an unexpected jolt in Libby’s nether regions. She studied his profile for a few seconds, then grudgingly admitted to herself that Demetrio was, in fact, very attractive. Despite the fact she was a red-blooded woman, she rarely noticed such things.
Like most people, she’d come on this holiday to recharge her batteries. Unlike most people, she’d been practically forced into it. Libby was somewhat of a workaholic, which left her little time for anything else. It was this fact which had cost her her last relationship. The long working hours, frequent rain checks on their dates and her lack of interest in any kind of affection, let alone sex, had finally caused James to walk away.
Libby had barely noticed. She’d just carried on working, and working…until her friends and family had finally intervened. They’d booked the holiday to Portugal, arranged with her boss for her to have the time off, and basically given her little choice but to go.

New Release from Destiny Blaine

Bestselling erotic romance author, Destiny Blaine, has a new book release from Resplendence Publishing. The long awaited Mary Had a Little Problem promises ménage romance readers a page-turning romance filled with hot love scenes and an unforgettable love story. Order your copy of Destiny’s romance of the year—Mary Had a Little Problem is out today: http://www.resplendencepublishing.com/353.html

Mary Worthington is a widow, or at least, she should’ve been. A former Navy Seals wife, her husband is killed in combat and Mary has a difficult time accepting the fact her husband isn’t coming home. Without a body to bury or witnesses to tell her what happened, there’s no way Mary can put the past to sleep until someone provides her with the truth about her husband’s final hours.

Trying to step out and socialize once again while pursuing facts about her husband’s death, Mary is introduced to Brock Taylor, a hard-core ladies man dedicated to the Marines and sharing himself with any woman who wants a piece of one. That is, until he meets Mary, a woman he’s known about through a past acquaintance.

Mary and Brock fall in love, plan a wedding in the Great Smoky Mountains, and well, things could’ve been headed toward a happy ending. However, six months after Brock finally wins Mary’s hand, Mary’s deceased husband reappears. And Mary wonders if she’ll be forced to give up one man in exchange for the other.

The following excerpt is suitable for all audiences:

Mourning the death of her husband began at the sound of the first shots fired. For some reason, up until then, Mary kept thinking she’d awaken and discover she’d been having another nightmare. Instead, reality set in and delivered its final blow. The ceremony in progress jolted her back to the present with a new understanding.
She was attending her husband’s memorial. Luke was gone, and he wasn’t coming back.
Mary had somehow remained stoic throughout the service, fearing if she looked up, turned to her left, or glanced right, she might meet a stranger’s gaze. She refused to lock eyes with those in attendance, realizing their hearts were full of pity.
Many of them knew Luke. Some of them had fought beside him. Others were there to pay their respects to a fallen soldier, but they didn’t know the man behind the uniform, the husband behind the Navy’s finest SEAL.
There was another powerful blast, and the jarring sensation came with a deafening and most eerie sound of a three-round volley. The air was thick with tension. Those in attendance jerked with every shot resounding through the hills.
Mary’s tears finally came, flooding her cheeks until the rapid falls ran dry. It was then when Mary understood a truer meaning of taps.
This was the end, the most monumental signal of all. It was time to turn out the lights and go home. The final seconds in the last hour approached. Now, she was expected to accept the fact that her happily-ever-after ending wasn’t meant to be. Mary needed to find a way to come to terms with the facts.
Her husband was dead. She couldn’t bring him back.
Lieutenant Lucas Worthington once spoke of a soldier’s death, an honorable death, the kind of burial all soldiers hoped they’d find. If Mary had been given one last chance to talk with Luke, she would’ve told him that this death wasn’t a clean death, as he’d once discussed. This casualty, no one understood.
Luke should’ve been careful what he wished for, and Mary should’ve selected a husband more wisely, refused to fall in love with a man destined to die. Mary gave her heart to a Navy SEAL. He, in turn, fell in love with the notion that freedom was won, honor easily earned, and death only came to those who were fighting for the wrong side.
Mary wished for one last opportunity to tell Luke her point of view on the subject now, perhaps show him the error of his ways, and explain devastation in simple woman’s terms.
At that moment, she wanted her husband to know how she felt. She longed to explain her agony. But it was too late for that, and she wasn’t sure she could put her sorrow into words.
Still, Mary longed to see Luke one last time. She would’ve given her final breath if she could’ve held something substantial in her arms, perhaps something to show her, help her grasp the idea that the love she’d cherished was lost. The man she’d worshipped was gone, and his funeral was anything but a bad dream.
Her life had turned into a nightmare. Without a body to bury, Mary had a feeling she’d never awaken from the hellish world that had somehow become her horrific reality.
The following excerpt is rated PG17
“The next time you try and set me up with some hardcore, sexy-as-all-fucking-hell military prick, I swear to God, I’m gonna—”
“Anna told me how to get here,” Brock interrupted her rant as soon as the door was pushed all the way back.
“Fuck my life,” Mary muttered, thinking she’d never seen a hotter man than the one in front of her. Even Luke would have a difficult time measuring up to Brock, and that was saying a lot.
Stop it right now, she thought. She didn’t have the right to gawk at this stranger like he was a packaged adult delivery for an overnight stay. “This is not happening to me.”
Brock winked, a devilish grin marking a permanent place on his face. “Prick? Really? Is that the best you can do?”
She released a troubled sigh. Apparently, he missed the compliment laced through that warm greeting.
“Why are you here?”
She saw the attitude coming from a mile away. “I was afraid someone might try to set you up with some hardcore, sexy-as-all-fucking-hell military prick. I’m here to save you.”
“From myself?” she asked, meaning she needed all the help she could get since she had the open-mouth-insert-foot concept down to a perfected science.
“Should I take that to mean you’re interested?”
“What do you want?” she asked, ignoring his underlying insinuations.
“An invitation inside would be a nice start.”
“Why?”
“Maybe because it’s the polite thing to do, especially after you spoke so passionately about me.”
“The last time a soldier stood in my doorway, he brought bad news with him. Would you invite that into your home, Mr. Taylor?”
“Depends on what you consider bad news, Mary. And please, call me Brock. We’ll do better in the end if we start out with first names.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You think you could stand my answer?”
Mary propped her hands on her hips. “Depends. Think you can handle rejection?”
