Anyone who frequents Collars & Cuffs knows Dorian Forrester is built for pain, including Dorian himself. But everyone has it wrong. For six years, Dorian’s chased a feeling that remains tantalizingly out of his reach. Unteachable, Dorian can take anything and everything a Dom can throw at him. Still, it’s not enough. Dorian needs… something more. Something he won’t find at Collars & Cuffs.

Dorian’s search takes him out of the safe environment he’s known for years, out of his depth, and into a realm of deep, dark trouble.

Alan Marchant has been watching Dorian with interest for a while and knows there’s more to Dorian than his label of “pain slut” suggests. When Dorian disappears, Alan and his friend Leo set out to find him. But the disoriented young man discovered cowering in a hotel room is not the Dorian they know and love. That Dorian is shattered. It’s up to Alan to pick up the pieces and show Dorian there are better ways to fly.

They may be off on a new journey together, but their destination will rock them both to the core.

Now for the exclusive excerpt....

Dorian opened his eyes and regarded the Dom seated next to him. Alan was gazing at him with obvious concern, but it was tempered with quiet assurance. There was a strength about him. To his surprise, Dorian found himself reacting to that strength. He still bristled at the idea of Alan making decisions about him, but then he thought about it.
Do I really want to be on my own?
He couldn’t deny that having Alan close to him the previous night had been a comfort. In fact, it had been to the only thing to stand between him and a night of unceasing nightmares. And the idea of sitting looking at his four walls, trying to blot out the persistent memories that had tormented him throughout the night, filled him with horror.
Just how long could I go on like that? It’s not as if I could go home, is it?
He didn’t want to even contemplate that last thought. The mere prospect of it wearied him.
At least Alan cared enough about him to do this. Dorian couldn’t deny that.
“Okay,” he said at last.
Alan’s eyes glowed with pride. “Good lad.”
Once again, warmth spread through him, pushing back the cold.
Alan sat back and withdrew his hand. Dorian felt the loss immediately. He closed his eyes as the plane banked, beginning its descent into the clouds.
He’s right, of course. I just want to leave this whole fucked-up mess behind me.
Then it occurred to him that Alan’s quiet confidence might be exactly what he needed.
He really believes he can help me through this.
It was something to hold on to.

About the author and where to find her:

Born and raised in the north-west of England, K.C. WELLS always loved writing. Words were important. Full stop. However, when childhood gave way to adulthood, the writing ceased, as life got in the way. K.C. discovered erotic fiction in 2009, when the purchase of a ménage storyline led to the startling discovery that reading about men in love was damn hot. In 2012, arriving at a really low point in life led to the desperate need to do something creative. An even bigger discovery waited in the wings—writing about men in love was even hotter….

K.C. now writes full-time and is loving every minute of her new career. The laptop still has no idea of what hit it… it only knows that it wants a rest, please. And it now has to get used to the idea that where K.C goes, it goes.

And as for those men in love that she writes about? The list of stories just waiting to be written is getting longer… and longer….

K.C. loves to hear from readers.

Book Spotlight~ Heart to Hart by Erin O'Quinn

Heart to Hart by Erin O'Quinn
The Gaslight Mysteries Series
Gay / Nostalgic Contemporary (1920s-Era) / Fantasy / Action / Adventure / Romantic Comedy / Mystery / Detective / Series
Buy at Amazon / Amber Allure

MICHAEL MC CREE is a horny, roustabout Irishman who is much deeper than his deliberate stereotype suggests. He brilliantly wrangles his way to being the flat-mate, then partner, and finally (he hopes) the lover of
SIMON HART . . . A sullen, angry, fastidious man whose business is the investigation of very private affairs. Too bad he hasn't a clue about investigating his own sexuality, the murder of his former partner, and the real identity of the mysterious Michael who seems bent on seducing him.

In this excerpt told from the point of view of the uptight Simon Hart, his new roomer has invaded not just his private flat but also his office. Instead of his usual dockside garb, Michael is wearing a stylish suit. This sophisticated man presents a whole ’nother challenge, and Simon is more flustered than ever.

Simon could not believe this was the same Michael McCree whom he had seen, bare-chested and dressed in baggy trousers, sprawled across the bed this morning when he opened the roomer’s door. He was, in a word, magnificent.

His thick gold-red hair, now loosed from the bowler, framed his handsome, boyish face and made his golden eyes seem like coins in a treasure chest. The suit jacket, the shirt, the superbly cut trousers—all bespoke a gentleman who knew precisely how to dress.
“You’ve not explained yourself at all.” Simon knew his voice was cracking, but he was beyond caring. This interloper—this barger into a man’s office, this taker of a man’s dignity, even virginity—had to be removed from his life, starting right away. He’d pay him double the rent to leave.

The insides of his mouth felt dry and his stomach fluttered, just once, as Michael took a step closer to him. The large man’s right hand encased his chin, while the fingers of his left hand stroked his bruised lips. And then he drew Simon’s mouth onto his, forcing open his lips and inserting his tongue. Ah, God. A shiver of desire ran down his chest and straight into his groin.

No. This is wrong. This man has to leave. He’s definitely been up to no good—
He began to fight Michael’s embrace, and yet somehow, the other man anticipated every denial and met it with a counterattack. Their groins, both rigid, locked. Michael was holding his butt cheeks in each hand, kneading and rubbing, while he deeply thrust his tongue, back and forth, in and out, in the ageless rhythm of unsatisfied sex. Their thighs ground together in the soft woolen trousers, and Michael began to draw him to his knees, then onto the floor.
“Stop. You cannot—” His voice drowned in Michael’s mouth, and Michael spoke back into his own. “Yes, yes, lad. Oh, yes. Right now. Right here.”

Simon felt like a small boy, powerless against a superior strength. He hadn’t felt that way before. Ever. He’d carefully trained himself to be a victor in every situation. And never once had he resorted to crude sexual encounters. He’d always stood aloof and held back his coarser nature. Now this large rough man would not let him have his way.

“You must stop this charade before I hurt you—”

“Nay, lad. I’ve wanted ye for too long. I promise to be gentle wi’ ye. Come, come, lie here wi’ me.”

Michael began to undress him, button by button, straddling him like a hobbyhorse. Every time Simon rolled or struggled, Michael’s thighs closed in tighter and stilled his movements, as though Simon were cardboard and he were steel. Oh, God, he felt as though he would erupt before Michael could undo the buttons on his fly. Finally, he gave up trying to roll away and watched the other man gently take down his trousers.

Welcome Pelaam today

Welcome to my Reading Nook, Pelaam Please make yourself at home and let my cabana boys/girls get you a drink.

Cool. Chilled Chardy for me.

Comfortable? Wonderful. Now let’s get started.

To get us started can you tell us a little about what you are working on or have coming out?

Where to start is the bigger question. I have another of my Once Upon a Future reworked fairy tales due to come out next month with Silver Publishing. It’s entitled Red. I have a couple more in mind to do; a reworking of Golidlocks and The Princess and the Goblin. I have an alternate reality steampunk set in Arabia, one with an Ancient Greece setting, and another in my Demonica series, all demanding my attention.

How would you describe yourself using only five words?

Loyal, laid-back, perfectionist, imaginative, sensual

If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?

If you light the blue touch-paper, be prepared to stand well back.

Do you have any guilty pleasures?

Chocolate and wine – not necessarily in that order…

Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
I’m a huge Scooby-Doo fan. Books, DVDs clothes, various toys and figures. They’re all over my house.

If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Right here in New Zealand. It’s a beautiful country, very laid back. I love it here.

How do you get yourself in the mood to write?

I have a cup of tea at my side, occasionally it’s a glass of Chardonnay, or a rose wine in summer. I put on a favourite DVD, I hate silence, and music is too distracting. I have my reference books in easy reach, and settle with my laptop.

Can you share with us your typical writing day.  Is there anything you have to have while writing?

I write after I get home from work. So I like to have a drink of some kind to help me relax. I usually check my e-mails first to see if I have edits to do, or any messages to answer.

Who are some of your favorite authors?

Geoff Knight, J L Langley, Dean Koontz

What is in your To Read Pile that you are dying to start or upcoming release you can’t wait for?

Kendall McKenna’s Strength of the Pack

Is there something special you do to celebrate when one of your books is released?

I go out for a meal to celebrate. I’m a big foodie.

Do you have a favorite TV show you can't miss?

No. I rarely watch TV, but when I do it’s sport or cookery.

If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why-no it doesn't have to be from your books?

Now that’s a toughie. Can we skip that one?

What is the strangest source of writing inspiration you’ve ever had?

I read a single line from a fairy tale about a feather, and that led to the creation of the worlds and characters of Firebird.

If your muse were to talk behind your back, what secrets would he/she tell?

Typical Gemini, flits between stories, and doesn’t write in any particular order.

Anything else you want to add?

Teaser from Enchanted by Pelaam
 Fantasy, Gay, Lesbian, Romance

A re-telling of a well-known tale—with a twist.

Prince Lucien has been betrothed to Princess Evania from her birth. When his sister, Isabella, is born, she is immediately betrothed to Evania's younger brother, Teige.

On the day of her christening, Isabella falls victim to a curse from the black witch, Caera, but instead of death, the white mage, Marged, makes the curse one where Isabella will sleep until wakened by true love's kiss.

Despite the precautions taken, Isabella falls under Caera's curse, as does Teige and Lucien, Evania and Dashiell are the only ones who can save them. They must defeat Caera to reach them. But whose kiss will awaken the Sleeping Beauties?

Teaser excerpt:

The courtier's clipped tones stopped both young men, and Lucien glowered at him. He knew the man to be one of Finlay's advisors, and he did not like the look in the man's eyes.
"Prince Teige…" Lucien began, only to have the older man raise a hand to stop him.
"You are to go to King Finlay. Immediately," came the terse response.
Lucien bristled. He was a Crown Prince and not used to being ordered by others. However, arguing with one of Finlay's minions would not get him the answers he craved. He whirled angrily and stormed towards the study, Dashiell a few steps behind, the auburn-haired man's own curses testimony to his cousin's level of frustration.
He knocked perfunctorily and strode inside. The knot in his stomach expanded as he saw the cold fury on the face of his lover's father and the pale-faced Evania standing to his side.
"How could you take advantage of my son? Seduce him? You knew he is betrothed to Isabella, just as you are to Evania," Finlay demanded.
"I never seduced Teige," Lucien countered angrily. "Never."
"Never?" Finlay bellowed, surging to his feet, his face red with fury. "My son refused to go to your castle. He did not want to go to meet his betrothed—instead he wanted to wait here for you. He tried to tell me you and he are in love. In the end I sent him, under guard, with his mother to meet Princess Isabella."
"I have to go," Lucien said, his own face now as pale as Evania's. But even as he turned, his father and Marged blocked his way. He could only assume the mage had used magic to bring them to Finlay's palace. It mattered not. Only Teige mattered.
"You will stay here and leave Teige to get to know his bride-to-be, Lucien. Your behaviour has brought shame to me. You have a destiny to fulfil with Evania at your side. How could you lead Teige astray, letting him believe you loved him?" his father asked.
"I do love him," Lucien shouted, tears burned behind his closed lids. "I have always loved him. As a baby, as a child, as a youth, then as a man—and he loves me. I cannot say when we knew we loved each other as lovers, but we do. Evania does not love me as a future husband any more than I desire her as a wife."
"Evania will do as she is commanded," Finlay growled, and glowered at him. "I have indulged her in the past, but I will not permit such foolishness to destroy what your father and I strived so long to create: our two kingdoms united by marriage."
"I will not marry Lucien," Evania said, her voice an angry hiss to Lucien's ears. He did not think he had ever seen or heard Evania so furious. Her eyes flashed with anger as she moved to join him and Dashiell.

My Personal Review for Game Over by Cassandre Dayne

Get ready for a story that will steal your heart and stir your senses...it's time for Game Over.

My Rating for Game Over: 4 Stars

Tony Dartanion and Caelen Tomlin have been lovers for months but Caelen is tired of being Tony's dirty little secret. When their issues come to a boiling point, Police Detective Tony Dartanion will have to choose- live a partial life or embrace who he is and let his relationship with Caelen come out but will Tony's fears be more than he can handle and will thee two find themselves adrift and without one another?

I absolutely adore Cassandre Dayne. Not just because she is a wonderful friend but wow, can she write. Game Over is a strong, romantic and wickedly sexy tale of two people who find themselves at a crossroads. This is an author who knows her characters and gives them a chance to shine-warts and all. Tony is a man trying to live in two worlds and it's tearing him and his relationship with Caelen apart. Can he let his fears go and let himself love Caelen without worrying he will lose his job? This is a story of a man determined to right the wrongs he caused, show a lover they are the one they love and need and finally, find the strength to move onto a path he has ignored for years. I loved these two guys together. They were hot, sexy and they complimented one another. Tony is straight laced yet he longs to give Caelen what he needs and desires-dark kinky desires. Caelen is a man fed up with the entire relationship. If he isn't acknowledged by Tony, he was gone. It hurt too much to be this secret boyfriend. He wanted a full, loving relationship-period. Cassandre Dayne delves into a world where sexy, kinky things are there and lets these two work things out....one kiss at a time.

Cassandre Dayne is one magical storyteller and the twist mid-way through the book let me racing to see what would happen next. A few secondary characters had me intrigued and I am hoping the author delves back into this fascinating world she created. With each page I turned, I was drawn more and more into this story, hoping that these two would be able to work things out and have their own happily ever after. The story is tight, characters multi-dimensional and the sex scenes are plentiful yet don't overwhelm the reader. I got to admit, you will need a cold shower or your significant other after reading this...it is that hot and sexy.

If you are looking for a wild ride from start to finish, then grab Game Over and settle in for a story that steals your heart. I look forward to seeing what else this author has in store for her readers in the future.

Book Spotlight~Sean Michael's Solitary

Solitary by Sean Michael
A Hammer Novel

Greg's on a downward spiral. He broke his back a few years into a promising stunt career, then his master died shortly after they began living a BDSM lifestyle together. He's just lost. So lost, that he can't keep a Master for more than two weeks. So lost that he's been arrested several times and is this close to winding up in jail. So lost that Master Oliver doesn't know what to do with him anymore.

In desperation, Oliver calls on his friend Appleton who lives in isolation in Northern Canada. Ap enjoys working with subs, and has both the time and the inclination to work with a lost soul like Greg. Not to mention, there's no way to get into legal trouble or run away from Ap's house given its location. So, Ap takes Greg in, hoping to help Greg find his center and himself again.

Will Greg find what he needs with Ap? Or will he find so much more?

Find out in this latest addition to Sean Michael's Hammer Club series.

Excerpt:
Ap waited at the gate for Oliver and this Gregory. His truck was full of supplies; the house was ready for a reluctant guest. He was ready, too.
Oliver came out, the grim looking Dom with one hand on the back of the neck of a short, stocky blond. The man sported a black eye, his hair was unkempt and disheveled, his clothes too big.
Jesus Christ, Ollie hadn't exaggerated this at all. Gregory looked like death warmed over.
Ap made for them, waving so Oliver would see him. Frankly, Oliver didn't look that much better than Gregory, like he hadn't slept in far too long.
Oliver nodded to him, led the sub over. "Ap. Good afternoon. This is Gregory."
"Hi, Gregory. I'm Master Ap. You can call me that, or sir."
Bruised, huge green eyes met his. "Hello."
He slid his arm around the man's too-thin shoulders. "Oliver, do you need a lift to where you're meeting Jack?" Frankly, he thought the man needed to be tucked into bed and made to sleep for a week.
     "I..."
     "Oliver!" Jack's voice rang out.
"No. No, I don't. Is there anything you need from me?"
"Any bags?" He didn't want to keep Oliver a moment longer than he needed to.
Oliver shook his head wearily and nodded at the backpack in Gregory's hand. "He has enough clothes for a week, as well as a coat and his cell phone. I can ship everything else of his that he didn't destroy last night."
Jack looked at the sub, sighed, but didn't say anything.
"That won't be necessary for now, Oliver. He won't be wearing clothes for a while. Go with Jack. I've got everything under control here." He took Oliver's hand, squeezed it. "He's in good hands."
"Thank you." Oliver looked at Gregory, waited until their eyes met. "This is not a punishment. This is for you."
"I'm out of your hands now. Not your problem. It's okay." There was no life in Gregory's voice; it was simply dull, used up.
"It will be okay, Ollie." Ap assured the man. "Call me in a few days and I'll give you an update."
"Absolutely. Jack, did you get us a hotel room as I asked?" The two men walked away, Jack taking Oliver's bag.
"Look, if you want, you can just walk away. I understand."
Ap turned his attention back to Gregory, shook his head. "No one's walking away, boy." He grabbed the backpack from Gregory and turned them toward parking.
Gregory's hair looked like someone had hacked at it with a machete, and the muscles under his hand were stiff and hard as rocks.
"Are you hungry?" He walked quickly, his hand on Gregory's shoulder, guiding the man.
     "No, sir. I'm not."
"Okay." There were granola bars and juice in the truck's cab, along with a bag of apples. They wouldn't starve. Hell, if they needed to, they could stop and grab something out of the bed of the truck.
Ap pointed to his red Ford F350 when they got to it and then opened the passenger door for his new sub. He tossed Gregory's backpack into the bed with the supplies.
"It's about a four hour drive," he told Gregory as he climbed in. "Give or take."
"Okay." Gregory didn't look around, didn't act involved, didn't seem to care in the least where they were or where they were going.
Ap maneuvered the truck out of the lot, paid for parking and took the highway north. Once they were out of the worst of the traffic, he glanced over at Gregory. "Tell me about yourself."
"My name's Gregory Nian. I'm from Vancouver. I've been living in California for five years."
"Why'd you move there?" He was going to engage Gregory, even if it killed them both.
"I went to work as a stunt man."
"That sounds like a neat job."
"I liked it. I don't do it anymore." Every answer was a monotone. It didn't even seem like Gregory resented telling him, just that the man couldn't care less.
"Do you want to tell me what happened?"
"I fell. I was in the hospital with a broken back for six months."
Shit, it sounded like Gregory hadn't caught any breaks. At all. First that and then his master being shot.
"Is that when you went into the lifestyle? Or were you already into it?"
"Tim was the EMT who responded to the scene of my accident." Gregory sighed. "He was trying to show me about it, I was trying to... It doesn't matter."
"Sure it matters. You matter Gregory." He didn't figure Gregory would believe that yet. He had plenty of time and very few distractions to convince the man of it, though.
Gregory didn't answer, just looked out the window. Ap knew that Gregory had flashes of temper, had a self-destructive streak a mile wide, had only started to learn the lifestyle.
"Did Oliver tell you anything about my place?"
"No. No, he told me that this was somewhere I'd be safe."
"You will be. It's a house on some land. We're isolated." There was no trouble for Gregory to get into, really.
     "Why did you say yes?"
"Because Oliver asked, and because it sounded like you needed somewhere safe to work things out before you wound up in jail or worse."
"Maybe I should be in jail."
"Is that what you think? You think you're going to find what you need there?" Jail was not going to solve any of Gregory's problems, of that Ap could be certain.
     "No. No, I won't."
"That's right. Look. I don't have all the answers, either, but I know how to give you discipline, to punish you, and to keep you from winding up in jail." He took his eyes off the road long enough to look over at Gregory. "I'll take care of you."
"You'll probably end up hating me. Everyone does."
"Well, I don't hate you yet." And Gregory was going to find him a lot harder to push away than any of the other Masters Oliver had placed the man with. What Gregory needed was someone to believe in him for awhile. Ap figured he could be that man.
The laughter he got in response was bitter. At least it wasn't the same dull monotone.
"Would you like to hear how things are going to work when we get to my place?"
"Yes. Master Oliver was good to me that way. He let me know the rules."
"You're going to be confined to the house until further notice unless you're performing duties out of doors. You'll be naked at all times. If you're cold, you're to let me know. You'll do whatever tasks I assign."
     Gregory didn't say a word.
     "What's your safeword?"
     "Siren."
Jesus. That had to be a reminder of Gregory's dead master every time he used it or considered using it.
"You're to use it if you need to. Understand?"
     "I never have before."
Oh, now, that was interesting. Ap filed the information away.
"What were you looking for when you began with your master?" He knew it would probably be a touchy subject, but if he was going to connect with Gregory, he needed to know what the man wanted. What Gregory needed.
"A place. I was angry. He promised there was a place where I'd be." The words cut off. "It doesn't matter. He lied."
"No, finish it. Because it does matter. A place where you'd be what?" There was no hiding here. Gregory couldn't afford to hide from him.
"Right. Whole. Tired enough to sleep."
"And it never happened? How long had you been working together when he was killed?"
     "Six weeks."
"Shit, Greg, that's..." Jesus Christ. No wonder Gregory was having trouble, especially if they'd started getting somewhere, and then to have that snatched out of his hands so brutally along with the man himself...
"Yeah. About two weeks is the limit."
     "What do you mean?"
"That's when the Doms send me back to Oliver. I'm not going back this time, though."
Ap snorted. "I'm lasting a lot longer than two weeks, boy." He was going to see this through. Gregory was hurting, and Ap could see that he was stubborn, but Ap was stubborn, too. He could be as stubborn as he needed to be.
     "We'll see."
"Yeah. We will." This time Gregory's words were defiant. It was a start.
It stayed quiet after that, Ap driving deeper and deeper into the country, heading home.
