Winter Heat Anthology Author Kimberly Kahn

Please give a warm welcome to Ryan Daniels from Fated by Kimber Kahn today as we sit down and see what makes him/her tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?
*slumps down a little in the seat*
Have you met my author?  The woman doesn’t play fair.  *chuckles* *blows out a breath*
I always hated this part in school, ya know? I’m forty years old, and until I walked into my partner, quite literally, I was content to live in the house I built on my little patch of land in Lizana, Mississippi. I’m a contractor by trade, and my company has built everything from single family homes, to shopping malls, to high-rise condominiums.
I was drawn back to Tennessee because of family obligations. My mama needed another set of hands, and I was the one that could help out with the least amount of hardship.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?  *corner of mouth kicks up* Oh, man!  What didn’t? *laughs*  He’s five years old than I am, and I’ve always had this thing about older guys.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?  Oh, hell!  I don’t know if you could call it a seduction, but it involved a mud puddle.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?  I’m all about some Commando!  *chuckles*  Although, I’ve got this thing about AC underwear.  Or else it’s just AC models. *shrugs*
*GRINS* No, really, I’d prefer for Stuart not to wear any.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?  He’s got this look.  Like he sees me, ya know? It’s kinda like the look that Brandon Brown gives Colby Melvin in an Andrew Christian video. All he has to do is give me that look like he already has his hands on me and as soon as we’re alone… *gets far off look*
*blushes* Sorry.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?  *deep laughter*  Oh, he’s gonna kill me!  You know I’m blaming you when he reads this, right? *chuckles*  The insides of his arms, right at the bend. I don’t know why, but if it’s a light touch, I can get him caveman growly in seconds.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Fated*runs fingers through hair* I guess that would be putting my relationship with my family out there.  That’s not something that you want waved around, ya know? I know Kimber’s like a Mama Bear about equal rights, and fighting for the underdog, as it were, but it’s just kinda hard for me to be in that spotlight.  I know she would never pity me for how I’ve been treated, but it’s not easy to be in that position no matter how good the intentions are.

Q: Anything else you would like to add? I appreciate you asking me to stop by for a visit.  Stu’s gonna be unhappy he didn’t get to be here. I’m probably gonna play that to my advantage. *chuckles*

Fated - Home. Family. To most, those words bring thoughts of safety and joy. To Ryan Daniels, they bring guilt and pain. Returning to the place he grew up, the place he left behind, he finds something he never bargained for and didn't know he was missing until the afternoon he bumped into Stuart Vaughn.

Excerpt from Fated by Kimber Kahn
“My family is…not accepting…to say the least. Anything straying outside their comfort zone isn’t welcome or wanted. They don’t know I’m gay. They choose to accept I just haven’t found the right woman because any other answer would mean they had to face their own failure. And that’s what it would be. A failure.”

“Ryan, you aren’t a failure.” Stuart gripped Ryan’s wrist briefly before returning to the soft strokes.

“Man, I know I’m not…up here.” Ryan tapped his temple. “But that place right here.” He tapped his chest. “It didn’t get the memo. I own my own construction company. I worked my ass off for it. I have a house in Lizana, Mississippi. It’s not much, but it’s mine.” His eyes blurred as though he was looking at something only he could see. “I built it.”

He focused on Stuart again. “Do you know what my mama said when I told her I was building it? ‘Why on earth would you want to do that, Ryan? Why not hire someone who knows what they’re doing and get it done right?’” He laughed, the sound bitter.

“Now, I’ve come home to help because family helps. What do I get for the trouble? I get to feel like I did before I left home and every time since then when I have contact with my family.”

“Ryan, I don’t know what’s going on between us, but I know I’d like to find out. For the record, I’m not interested in dating your family. I’m interested in you.” Stuart shook his head slightly. “It’s gonna sound crazy because I don’t understand it myself, but I think I’ve been waiting all my life for something big to happen.” He looked directly in Ryan’s eyes, hoping the man understood what he couldn’t find the words to say.

Ryan smiled, the action lighting up his eyes. “Me too, Stuart. Me too.”

Kimber Kahn - The secret identity of a mild mannered mother of four and an Emergency Services employee who has recently discovered an enjoyment of writing m/m fiction as much as reading it.  Her time is divided, not necessarily equally, between the job, the husband, the kids, the house and her ever-growing desire to write about the love of two good men.  Living in the balmy south, she indulges in getting to her favorite place in the world, Nola, as often as possible.

Winter Heat Authors A.J. Llewellyn and Serena Yates

Please give a warm welcome to Bryan Braun from Cat Vs. Dog by A.J. Llewellyn and Serena Yates today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?

What do hairs have to do with it? I certainly take good care of myself, and have had no entanglements with my authors' hair. My lover Cory, now that's another matter. I love his hair. It's soft and I think it's because he's a cat shifter. I like burying my hands in it and love that we're so different. Stops me from getting bored, you know?

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?

His purr. Yeah, Could listen to that for hours. And he's hot. When he starts preening in the bathroom? You know, he still very much behaves like a cat sometimes, even when he's in human form, but I love that. Don’t tell him though, he'd be mortified!

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner?

There was this elevator in the hotel we stayed at for Gay Ski Week when we first met. Have you ever stayed in a hotel full of gay men? Let me just tell you the elevator comes in more than useful. And then there was outdoor sex, in the snow. A little cold at first, but we heated the place up pretty quickly. Of course then there's the ride at Disneyland where we almost got arrested. Hell, all the places we seduce each other are wild—definitely by the time we get done!

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?

Commando. Is there anything sexier?

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?

All he has to do is purr. I'm a simple guy, you know? Straightforward always works best with me.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?

Cory is pretty sensual. I touch him in a certain way, growl a little, he gets hot. His neck and his ass are probably hotspots, but really, he isn’t picky.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Cat Vs. Dog?

Making me step into that damned wolf trap the scrimpers had set up and have me break my damned leg. Man, I thought I'd never live it down. Sure, my author said I'd been distracted thinking about Cory. As if that made it better! And then the author had Cory, the man I desperately wanted to impress, find me and rescue me? Man, I was glad I was in wolf form at the time or I'd have blushed in shame. Have you ever seen a werewolf blush? NOT a pretty sight.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?

Nope. I'm not very talkative, and your many questions have just about done me in.

Thank you Bryan for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Cat. Vs. Dog by A.J. Llewellyn and Serena Yates in the IRM Winter Heat Anthology available wherever fine kitty tales are sold:

Blurb:
C.A. Tallus has gone to Gay Ski Week in Aspen in search of snow, sex and…a dog? No. No. No.
C.A., or Cory to his friends, hates dogs. Hates them. Especially little ones, which are usually smarter than big dogs and know there’s something…unusual about Cory. And of course there is. He’s a cat shifter longing to get back into his natural state and run with the wind on top of the Aspen peaks.
When he meets Bryan Braun he senses something different about him, as well. Bryan’s no ordinary ski fanatic who’s been working too hard and in need of a break. Cory is certain Bryan is a werewolf. His natural enemy! Can a cat and a dog get along? Can they have fun in the snow? And beyond?
And what about the mysterious, big dumb dog accompanying one of the skiers for the raunchy week in the western slopes of the Rockies? What, or more to the point, who is Tank the dog and how did he and his human companion James become involved with deadly Scrimpers?

Excerpt:

"Glad we're on the same page." He led the way to the bathroom, did his business and brushed his teeth in record time. Then he returned to the bedroom to undress and even made an effort to drop all his clothes in the same spot rather than distribute them across the room like he normally did. He didn’t want Cory to think he was a total dog, er, slob. He proudly looked at the neat pile and crawled under the covers.
Quiet minutes passed with no sign of Cory.
Where the hell is that cat? He'd always wondered how much werecats resembled their wild cousins in terms of everything from eating behavior to grooming habits. Guess I have my answer now. He yawned and burrowed deeper into the very soft and comfortable bed.
He was half-asleep by the time Cory emerged from the bathroom, already naked, his clothes neatly folded on his arm. Cory put them on one of the chairs, glanced at Bryan's pile on the floor but didn't say anything. Good kitty. Maybe they could learn to live together after all, and despite all the doomsayers who kept proclaiming that cats and dogs didn’t get along. He was willing to accept Cory's compulsive neatness, was willing to make some effort to be less of a slob himself. If their earlier romp in the sack had been any indication, it was well worth it. He'd never fucked anyone so hard and so long, had never come so hard and enjoyed himself so much.
"Come here." He lifted the covers, wanting Cory as close as possible.
Cory slid in, moving straight into his arms. He smelled heavenly and Bryan felt like apologizing for not taking a shower. Damn, he'd need to change that. But then Cory took a deep breath, buried his face in Bryan's neck and started a subvocal purring that had Bryan's tired cock make an attempt to respond.
"So sexy." Bryan kissed Cory's head. "Sorry I was too tired to take a shower. I’ll learn to be more like you."
"Why?" Cory pulled back and blinked at him.
"Because I want to make an effort. I want you to stay" He didn’t want to let Cory go, ever, and he'd do whatever it took.
"I appreciate it, but you don’t need to change. Well, not much." Cory grinned up at him. "I like your manly, musky smell. I love hat you've made the effort to put your clothes in a pile, but I want you to still be you, okay?" Cory yawned and stretched in Bryan's arms, rubbing him in all kinds of interesting places. "Now I need some sleep if you don’t mind, and maybe we can talk about the rest tomorrow."
"Anything." And for the first time in his life he really meant it.

Serena says:
I'm a night owl who starts writing when everyone else in my time zone is asleep. I've loved reading all my life and spent most of my childhood with my nose buried in a book. Although I always wanted to be a writer, financial independence came first. Twenty-some years and a successful business career later I took some online writing classes and never looked back.
Living and working in seven countries has taught me that there's more than one way to get things done. It has instilled tremendous respect for the many different cultures, beliefs, attitudes and preferences that exist on our planet.
I like exploring those differences in my stories, most of which happen to be romances. My characters have a tendency to want to do their own thing, so I often have to
rein them back in. The one thing we all agree on is the desire for a happy ending.
I currently live in the United Kingdom, sharing my house with a vast collection of books. I like reading, travelling, spending time with my nieces and listening to classical music. I have a passion for science and learning new languages.

Winter Heat Anthology~Welcome CR Guiliano

Please give a warm welcome to Abbott from Unexpected Winter, part of Winter Heat by CR Guiliano today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?
Honestly, I don’t know. All I wanted was to prove to myself that I could do something no one thought I could do and then, there she was, writing my adventure.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?
Pure, unadulterated lust…probably. Though I suspect, since I was destined to be Iluak’s mate, something much more, I don’t know, biological?

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?
Ok, a snow cave in the middle of the arctic isn’t wild enough for you?

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?
If I had my way? None of the above. It would nakedness all the time, but it’s cold here. Me? My boxer briefs, Iluak? He goes commando if he’s not in his furry stage.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he can play?
All it takes is him touching me. *blushes*

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed? This is going to sound weird, but Iluak kind of goes nuts if I run my tongue over his fangs. That’s the one for sure thing that will get me my way, not that I don’t get my way most of the time anyway. *winks*

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Unexpected Winter?
She had me scooting across the floor after my backpack. Nothing is more humiliating to me than the fact that I can’t walk on two legs. I’m thinking the second most embarrassing thing is making me beg Iluak.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?
Nothing much, I guess. Maybe, Iluak and I would love to have you read our story. It’s probably the most interesting thing that’s ever happened to me. *grins*

Thank you Abbott for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Unexpected Winter, part of Winter Heat by CR Guiliano at self-published.

Blurb: Abbott Wilson couldn’t believe he’d finally made the trek into the Arctic, above the Arctic Circle, in the dead of winter. A dream come true, a challenge to himself that he finally mastered. What he hadn’t counted on was getting trapped and injured in a deep ravine and the masculine and gorgeous man that saved him.
But his rescuer was as quiet as he was beautiful. Abbott wanted to get to know Iluak but the closer he got, the more withdrawn the half Indian got. Iluak’s behavior was turning strange and Abbott wasn’t sure what to make of it. Then, Abbott pushed too hard and found himself in a waking nightmare. Or was he?

Excerpt: “You will be mine after this.”
Abbott nodded unconsciously, his focus on the hard cock slowly penetrating him. His pulse pounded in his ears and a light sheen of sweat broke out over his body. God, it felt so good to be filled again. He tried to push back to drive Iluak deeper, but the big man was too heavy and Abbott couldn’t shift him.
“Please…”
A shudder ran through Abbott from head to foot when Iluak was seated completely inside him. The large man didn’t start thrusting right away, but wrapped his arms around Abbott and turned them so that his bulk wasn’t crushing Abbott under him. The motion drove Iluak even deeper and Abbott cried out at the sensation. Somewhere in the back of Abbott’s mind, he realized Iluak had turned them so that his remaining leg was on top, Iluak’s large hand holding it up, keeping Abbott open and available to Iluak’s thrusts.
And thrust he did—hard.
The sensations were overwhelming, Abbott’s body responding like it never had before. He was rock hard, his body flushed and sweating, his heart beating so hard he was sure Iluak could hear it. He tried to rock into the big man, but Iluak held him too tightly, doing all the work. Abbott almost felt guilty. He arched as Iluak drove deeper still and moved his arms over his head so he could grab onto Iluak’s hair, twisting to be able to kiss the man. Iluak’s tongue speared into his mouth, taking possession just as he was taking possession of Abbott’s body. The thrill that traveled through Abbott’s veins brought that unusual tingling to a head, his body feeling as if it was on fire and making his balls tighten and ache to release.
“Iluak…close.” He rasped out against the large man’s lips. The confession caused Iluak to pull out of Abbott’s body and he cried out in protest. No, not now!! What had he done wrong? But his confusion and self-doubt quickly dissipated as Iluak turned him to his back and loomed over him.
“You are mine. Mine!”

Winter Heat Anthology~Welcome Sara York

Please give a warm welcome to Max from Changing Currency by Sara York today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author? I'm a queen, a drag queen that is. I like to dress up a bit. Okay, maybe more than a bit. I really love to put on evening gowns and sing. And I'm good, real good.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate? God, he's so sexy. I absolutely love him. The thing that drew me to him was his commanding presence.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)? When I was in my dress. I love it when a man is dressed in a suit, and me in my high heels and dress. Just so sexy when the guys plays the big macho dude with me.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man? Commando, always commando unless I'm playing a part.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he can play? When Travis tells me to put on my sweats and warm socks and he makes hot coco, that does me in. I'm his for the rest of the night.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed? When I suck on Travis' neck. That's one place that's sure to drive him wild.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Changing Currency? Having us sleep together in the bed at the hotel. I was about to die when the front desk worker at the hotel said Travis and I would have to share a room and not just any room, but a room with a king bed.

Q: Anything else you would like to add? If you're ever in New York, come by the club where I sing and dance and say hi. I'd love to meet you.

Thank you Max for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Changing Currency, a part of the Winter Heat anthology by Sara York at Amazon.

When Max put's on his evening gowns and high heels, stripping away his masculine identity, changing into the gorgeous drag queen, Maxine the Devilicious, the fun begins. When he runs into his boss from the bank the game changes. Max has a secret and it's about to come out, changing his life, changing his work, changing his everything.

Excerpt
Impeccable black wingtips came into her field of vision. They looked to be Brooks Brothers, similar to the ones she owned for the daytime job. Maxine allowed her gaze to travel up the sharply pressed grey suit pants. The fine herringbone pattern spoke of wealth. Maxine gaze came to the top of the V of the man’s legs. The package was plentiful, causing her to sweat and the tape holding her dick felt strained.
She sat up quickly, intending to fix the man with her most threatening stare, only to have all of the air whoosh from her lungs and her head to spin. Standing only six inches from her was Travis—super hot Travis—Her boss, Travis. Well, Max’s boss.
“You are very beautiful and rather accomplished.” Travis smiled, leaving her even more breathless.
Brett spun around and lifted his hand to push Travis back but Maxine stopped him.
“Brett, I’m fine right now. Could you wait for me over there?” She smiled and leaned into Brett and whispered. “Please, I really like this one.”
Brett nodded, then shot a menacing glance at Travis. “One word from her. That’s all it will take.”
Travis watched Brett leave then turned back to Maxine? “Boyfriend?”
“Bouncer.”
“Ah, do you have much trouble with people getting out of hand?”
“No, not often. Well, not since Brett started babysitting me between shows.”
Travis held up two fingers, getting the bartenders attention. “Would you like something?” he asked, one hand coming to rest on her thigh.
Heat shot to her groin, making her wish she’d applied more tape to hold things in place and keep the illusion secure. “I’m fine.”
“Draft beer, please.” Travis leaned in close though the music wasn’t loud in this part of the bar and it was unnecessary. “I really like your voice. If I asked you out on a date, would you sing to me?”
“Depends.”
“On what?”
“Who you want me to go as.”

Winter Heat Anthology~Welcome Author Julie Lynn Hayes

Please give a warm welcome to Levi Thornton from Son of a Preacher Man by Julie Lynn Hayes today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?  *shrugs* I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t my father. He’s the famous televangelist Marshall Thornton, you know. Everybody’s favorite fire and brimstone preacher. I just happen to be his gay son. Funny that he named me Leviticus. Ironic, even. I guess she saw me sitting in the diner, trolling for men, and figured out something was up. I don’t really know. All I wanted was a little fun. And to make a fool out of my father on Christmas Day, on live national TV.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate? The damn fool came into the diner, out of the cold, without even a coat. But before I realized that, I think it was his eyes. Dar has the most amazing blue eyes. I took one look at him and decided he was the one I wanted to play with.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)? I took Dar to my parents’ little hideaway in the woods, and then I fucked him in my parents’ bed. They weren’t there, of course.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man? Commando is my preference.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?  All Dar has to do is tell me he wants me, and I’m his. No one else’s.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed? Not telling. You don’t need to know everything.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing things your author did to you in Son of a Preacher Man? She named it after some old song, for crying out loud. Couldn’t be bothered to think of something new, I guess. I know I’m the son of a preacher man, but have a little imagination, why don’t you?

Q: Anything else you would like to add? I could wish  you a Merry Christmas, but that seems rather trite, so I’ll just say that appearances can be deceiving, and you never know what secrets lurk in the hearts and souls of your fellow men. Also, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it…

Thank you, Levi, for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Winter Heat: Son of a Preacher Man by Julie Lynn Hayes at IRM.

Excerpt:  Levi paused long enough to admire what he’d uncovered. Darjeeling, although slight, had a lovely chest that wasn’t too slender or too broad; it tapered to a narrow waist. He didn’t have a six pack stomach or washboard abs, but Levi didn’t care. He had skin so pale it was almost alabaster. Levi ran his fingers across it gently; it was soft and supple, and smooth to the touch.
He handily uncinched Dar’s belt from about his waist and tossed it aside; reaching for the button, he deftly undid it, and pulled the zipper down in one smooth motion. To his glee, he found that the young man apparently chose to go commando; his half-hard cock spilled out in all its naked glory. Levi seized it with eager hands, surprised at what he saw.
“You’re uncut?”
“My parents don’t believe in circumcision.”
God bless Mr. and Mrs. Crane, wherever they are.
Levi knelt before Dar, taking in the sight of his uncircumcised cock. He’d never realized just how beautiful an uncut man could be. He felt momentarily unsure of himself, but Dar took Levi’s hands in his and showed him how to pull the foreskin back. Levi stroked his growing erection, reveling in the feel of it against his palms. He kissed the cockhead, experimentally inserting his tongue inside the slit, tasting a salty-sweet fluid. He could worship this beautiful piece of flesh forever, he thought, but his own cock ached with a need that refused to be denied, or postponed.
“May I undress you?”
Levi was startled from his reverie, glancing up at the nearly naked blond. Normally, that was something he preferred to do himself, but on impulse he said, “Sure.” Leaving a last kiss on Dar’s shaft—at least for now—he tugged at his trousers, only belatedly realizing they wouldn’t come off over his shoes. He rose from the thick rose carpet and in one fluid motion lifted Darjeeling into his arms, carrying him the short distance to the bed where he laid him on his back. Dar giggled, winding his arms about Levi’s neck. Their lips met in a series of kisses which began as short pecks that became longer and longer until their tongues tangled once more, and Levi was forced to break it off in order to breathe.

My Bio:  Julie Lynn Hayes was reading at the age of two and writing by the age of nine and always wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Two marriages, five children, and more than forty years later, that is still her dream. She blames her younger daughters for introducing her to yaoi and the world of M/M love, a world which has captured her imagination and her heart and fueled her writing in ways she'd never dreamed of before. She especially loves stories of two men finding true love and happiness in one another's arms and is a great believer in the happily ever after. She lives in St. Louis with her daughter Sarah and two cats, loves books and movies, and hopes to be a world traveler some day. While working a temporary day job, she continues to write her books and stories and reviews, which she posts in various places on the internet. Her family thinks she is a bit off, but she doesn't mind. Marching to the beat of one's own drummer is a good thing, after all.  Her published works can be found at Dreamspinner Press, and MuseitUp Publishing, and she has also begun to self-publish at various places on the Internet.

Book blurb:  Levi Thornton is the closeted gay son of homophobic televangelist Marshall Thornton. So what’s the perfect gift for the father who never cared? Levi’s going to find a yummy young man on Christmas Eve, fuck him all night long and six ways to Sunday. And then he’s going to out himself on live national TV on Christmas Day in front of his father and God and everyone else.
The problem is he’s having no luck at finding that special someone to share this moment with. Just when he thinks his quest is hopeless, in breezes Darjeeling Crane, and it’s off to the family hideaway for a night of fun. This will be a Christmas to remember, if Levi has anything to say about it.

Winter Heat Anthology Author~TA Webb

Please give a warm welcome to Jim Cook from His Name Was Harley Manfield by T.A. Webb today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author? Hmm. Well, my name is Jim Cook, and Harley Manfield was my best friend. He and Gary, actually. But since I’m the one here in town, I guess I’m it!

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate? His vulnerability. The big heart he has.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)? In front of the Christmas tree. He he he. Ho ho ho!

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man? Boxer briefs.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he can play? Make me laugh. Then kiss me – take me by surprise.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed? Right under his ear, on his neck. Makes him a mess.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in His Name Was Harley Manfield? Well, is it embarrassing to not know the man you want, wants you back?

Q: Anything else you would like to add? Thank you for having me today. And Harley, I will always love you.

Thank you Jim Cook for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Winter Heat: His Name Was Harley Manfield by T. A. Webb at SaraYork.

His Name Was Harley Manfield

He got right up in my face, pushing my chest with a finger. “Harley may have thought I was a kid, but let me tell you something, I’m not. I’m a man.”

I pushed him back. “I can see that. I never thought anything else.”

His breathing still ragged, he glared at me, and then lunged, grabbing my face and giving me a brutal kiss. Holy fuck, but the guy could kiss. And those hands, all rough and big and holding me against him.

I reached down and pulled him to me by the hips, feeling how hard he was. My erection tented my sweats, and the friction from grinding against him was filling my vision with stars. Or maybe it was lack of oxygen, because he was taking my breath away.

I pulled back to catch my breath, and saw how wide his stare was. He shook his head and started to pull away. I could see the embarrassment starting to roll across his face like a thunderstorm, but I was having none of that. I pulled him against me, then flopped backwards onto the couch, him on top of me. I took his mouth, grinding and restarting that fantastic friction from earlier.

He resisted for a moment, then moved against me, grinding his hips into mine and humping my cock. I reached between us and pushed his sweats down his thighs, then did the same with mine. The feel of naked flesh against mine was good–damned good—and something I had denied myself for too long. I reached between us and grabbed both our cocks, lining them up together, and started stroking. He moaned into my mouth, making me squeeze tighter.

As hard as we both were, it only took a couple of minutes until we both bucked into my hand and shot. We panted into each other’s mouths, and the feel of him on top of me was comforting. I’d missed this, the connection, the rush of feeling a spark with a man.

T.A. Webb is the writing name for the Mean Old Bear That Could. By day, he's the director of finance for a non-profit agency. He's worked with people living with HIV/AIDS and with children in the foster care system for over twenty years, and takes the smaller pay for the chance to make a difference for those who can't help themselves. After hours, he's the proud single papa of four rescue dogs, was born and raised in Atlanta, where he still lives, and is a pretty darned good country cook.

His sister taught him to read when he was four, and he tore his way through the local library over the next few years. Always wanting more, he snuck a copy of The Exorcist under his parents' house to read when he was eleven and scared the bejesus out of himself. Thus began a love affair with books that skirt the edge, and when he discovered gay literature, he was hooked for life.
