Q - So
tell us about yourself. What got
you in the cross hairs for your author?
Kai – Truth be
told, I think she
has a thing for
Asian guys.
Q – What was
it that drew you
to your mate?
Kai –
My people, the
Pari of the Himalayas,
evolved from a
merging of snow
leopard and human
DNA over 20,000 years
ago. We
were about to be
revealed to humanity
due to the discovery
of prehistoric Pari
DNA found in bone
fragments at the
Denisova Cave in
Siberia.
As the leader
of The Shan Trust
(the organization I
founded to help
the Pari people,) I
originally hired Rae
to find a way
to hide our rather
tell-tale DNA from
modern science.
It was the
first time a non
Pari woman ever found
out about us. The fact
that a beautiful,
intelligent woman knew
all of my deepest
secrets and she
wouldn't involuntarily
turn back into a
snow leopard was it
for me.
I'm not embarrassed
to admit I've been
with a few human
and Pari women in
my time.
With Rae though,
it was like truly
being naked in front
of a woman for
the first time.
Q – A little
naughty fun, where
was the wildest place
you seduced your partner?
Kai - Well...
Rae's going to kill
for telling, but we
had a pretty wild
time in the back
seat of our rented
car on a back
road in Russia once. We got
caught too!
Q – If your
partner wants to
seduce you, what's one
sure fire trick he/she
can play?
Kai – Feed me
borscht.
I know that
sounds crazy, but borscht
is a major aphrodisiac
for those with a
shape-shifter gene. I recently
read an article on
the internet that proves
certain chemical compounds
in it really effect
us shape-shifters and
those with an inactive
shape-shifting gene as
well. In
fact did you know
the ancient Romans considered
it a powerful aphrodisiac
as well?
Q – No, I
didn't Kai. Does it
work on humans?
Kai – Unfortunately
not. Shelly
Holt, the author told
me she tried it
once, but apparently
she doesn't have any
shape-shifter DNA. Of course,
buying it from a
jar like she did
from the supermarket
didn't help.
You got to
have it fresh. I have
a recipe for it
if your interested.
Q – Boxers,
brief or Commando on
a man?
Kai – I like
boxer briefs actually. Transforming into
my Shan form (leopard
form) can be a
little hard on the
boys downstairs, I
like to give them
all the support I
can:)
Q – What is
the one place on
your partner's body that
you know will drive
them wild in and
out of the bed?
Kai –
Don't tell Rae
I told you, but
the back of her
neck, I bit her
there once and held
her down the way
I would with a
female Pari in leopard
form. I
actually wasn't sure
I could bend enough,
but apparently the old
vertebra are still
pretty flexible.
If I were
human I would have
needed some serious chiropractic
treatments after that
night!
Q – What was
the most embarrassing
thing your author did
to you in TASTING
FIRE?
Kai - I really
didn't appreciate falling asleep
on Rae before the
deed was done on
the first night we
shared a bedroom together.
Q - Anything
else you would like
to add?
Kai - If your

My name is Shelly Holt and I live in the middle of the harsh and unforgiving Mojave desert. I write my stories looking out of a window that shows sweeping desert views. Kai Tenzin is the self appointed leader of the Pari people. He and his kind evolved from the most reclusive predators on earth, The Asian Snow Leopard. They live and hunt in the most fearsome and rugged terrain known to man, the Himalayas. As a young man, Kai left his small village where the mountain touches the heavens, determined to do anything to protect his people. When he is forced to enlist the aid of the beautiful American scientist Dr. Rae Hales, the last thing he expects to find is a woman who will ensnare his heart and endanger them all. Their action-packed adventure will take them around the world to discover the truth behind the legends and reveal the future of humanity.
EXCERPT
Kai had
a sudden extraordinarily
vivid recollection of
Rae's last shower and
at least for the
moment, missing Russian
researchers were the
last thing on his
mind. He
quietly walked up
behind her using the
same technique to stalk
her as he used
at her motel in
Florida.
As she was
still bent over he
walked up behind her
and salaciously pressed
his burgeoning erection against
her. Rae
immediately stood up
and Kai grounded himself
into her, grabbing her
waist with both hands
and pushing her into
the dresser.
Rae started to
breathe in short
ragged gasps and felt
herself become wet
instantly.
Kai immediately
started to unbuckle
Rae's jeans and slid
them down her thighs. She kicked
off her shoes and
he slipped the jeans
over her feet. Kai then
yanked her panties down
to her ankles and
removed them. He still
kept her facing the
dresser.
Rae shivered violently
as he purred into
her ear that he
was going to take
her from behind like
a Pari.
Kai aggressively
ripped her blouse right
off her back and
tossed it aside. From behind
he easily unclasped
her bra and tossed
it carelessly on the
floor. Rae
was now completely
naked and being forced
to bend over the
dresser.
He reached for
her breasts from behind
and began to gently
knead her tingling nubs
until they both ached
with desire.
Kai then licked
three of his fingers
and slipped them inside
her. He
pleasured her digitally
for several minutes. The Pari
was grinding himself fully
clothed against her
firm cheeks.
Rae eventually
heard a loud moan
slip out of the
back of her throat
of its own volition
and she suddenly screamed
as she exploded. Kai backed
off her for a
minute to disrobe, but
ordered her to
stay bent over the
dresser.
The highly aroused
shape-shifter growled in
a deep voice “I'm not
done with you yet!” Kai ripped
his own clothes off
and then he started
to bite her lightly
on the back of
her shoulders.
The sharp nips
gave her pleasure beyond
belief.
He then pushed
her long blond hair
aside and suddenly bit
her hard on the
back of her neck. Kai didn't
draw blood, but he
wasn't far from it. A human
man would not have
had the flexibility
of the spine to
accomplish what sexually
charged shape-shifter
was about to do.
