Discovering Cyborgs with author Cynthia Sax

When I got the email from author Cynthia Sax that she wanted a blog date at my reading nook blog, I was thrilled. This is an author I have known for awhile, read their books and fell in love with her characters. So needless to say when I was asked for a date I jumped at the chance to have this wonderfully talented author take over for a spell. So with out further adieu, here is author Cynthia Sax talking about her love of Cyborgs.

Why I Find Cyborgs Sexy By Cynthia Sax

2016 will be all about cyborgs and billionaires for me. I’ve already written three stories in my cyborg series (Releasing Rage, Breathing Vapor and Being Green) and plan to add four more stories to the series in the new year.

This tells you how much I LOVE cyborg heroes. I’ve never written a seven (and likely more) story series with the same type of hero. But that’s the wonderful thing about cyborgs. There are so many variations of them, so many different stories to tell.

Cyborgs are partially human, partially machine. In my stories, they are half and half. They have computer-like processors and human brains, human forms with metal frames, warm sexy skin over mechanics. They’re manufactured for battle but they’re built for breeding. No being creates an ugly cyborg. (grins)

The most exciting characteristic of cyborgs isn’t physical, however. It is internal. Being half man, half machine, they’re conflicted between their two halves. Do they listen to emotion or logic, instinct or cold hard reason? Do they express their free will or do they follow the commands they’re given?

This conflict is especially apparent in cyborg romances. These big strong warrior cyborgs fall in love and boy, does that mess them up! Love isn’t at all rational. Cyborgs have to ignore their machine side completely to fall in love. To do that, the love they feel has to be extremely powerful.

Because cyborgs are human, every cyborg is different. They struggle with different issues, have different goals and motivations. Rage, the hero of Releasing Rage, likes to fight because it purges his dark emotions. Vapor, the hero of Breathing Vapor, likes the skill of fighting, the challenging of proving he’s the best. Crash, the hero of my upcoming story—Crash And Burn, doesn’t like to fight at all. These differences make every story unique and interesting.

What do you love about cyborg heroes?

Half Man. Half Machine. All Hers.

Rage, the Humanoid Alliance's most primitive cyborg, has two goals--kill all of the humans on his battle station and escape to the Homeland. The warrior has seen the darkness in others and in himself. He believes that's all he's been programmed to experience.

Until he meets Joan.

Joan, the battle station's first female engineer, has one goal--survive long enough to help the big sexy cyborg plotting to kill her. Rage might not trust her but he wants her. She sees the passion in his eyes, the caring in his battle-worn hands, the gruff emotion in his voice.

When Joan survives the unthinkable, Rage's priorities are tested. Is there enough room in this cyborg's heart for both love and revenge?

Talking with author Cynthia Sax.....

Has there been any characters that started off as supporting characters, but then developed into a more prominent character?

Cynthia Sax: Almost all of my minor characters have a potential to be heroes or heroines in their own stories. Sinful Rewards is a love triangle. Bee is torn between a billionaire with a dark secret and a bad boy biker. One of these hunks won’t find love. I’d love to write a story around him.

When and where do you like to write? Are there any favourite places you like to go?

Cynthia Sax: I prefer to write fresh words every morning (when I’m able). I dream of my story at night and wake up inspired, ready to write. I face a blank wall when I write. The lack of distractions allows me to fully focus on my story. I’d love to write on the deck of a cruise ship, overlooking the sea.

Who has been the biggest influence in your writing?

Cynthia Sax:  Before I met my dear wonderful hubby, I didn’t truly believe in love (and definitely not love at first sight) and I didn’t have a solid understanding of what a lasting, loving relationship consisted of.  There’s a bit of him in every hero I write.

What has been the defining moment in your career that made you think “Yes, I am now a writer!”?

Cynthia Sax: When I first received money for one of my stories. I was a journalist for a daily and a weekly newspaper in high school. I didn’t realize that someone would pay me for writing! It was a crazy, life-changing concept.

How do you like to relax after a day writing?

Cynthia Sax: Writing is my relaxation. I’ll always be a reader first though. There’s nothing like escaping into another world, living another living, going places, doing things, meeting people I never could in the real world.

If a movie or TV production company chose to produce your books into a series of shows or movies, who would your ideal cast be?

Cynthia Sax: For Sinful Rewards, I’d love Natalie Portman to play Bee. I understand she’s vertically challenged also so she would sympathize with Bee’s challenges. Nicolas’ role could be played by Diego Boneta, the Latino heartthrob in Pretty Little Liars. Nicolas has the same gorgeously thick dark wavy hair. Hawke is a tough role to cast. How about Hafthor Julius Bjornsson aka The Mountain from Game Of Thrones? Although Hawke has a much sweeter personality, he has the same size and not-so-handsome face.

How much of your own personality bleeds into your characters?

Cynthia Sax:  Part of the fun of writing is NOT being ourselves, exploring views of the world we wouldn’t necessarily hold. For example: I’m not overly concerned about my appearance yet Bee, the heroine in Sinful Rewards, is a fashionista. I’m not a great cook. She is.

BUT the emotion is real. I know what it is like not to fit in. I know what it is like to be responsible for other people, to not have the luxury of thinking only about myself when making life decisions.

If you weren’t a writer, what would you be doing?

Cynthia Sax: Before I wrote full time (thanks to the dear wonderful hubby covering the bills), I was in business, new product development to be specific, and I loved it. There’s a reason I write about billionaire executives. I spent a lot of time in the boardroom (and not in a sexy way – though some of the executives I worked for were pretty darn hunky – grins). There’s a reason I used to call those men ‘Kings of the universe’. Power rolled off their suit-clad shoulders in heavy waves.

Blurb
Bee Carter has spent a lifetime creating her good-girl persona. Three harsh words uttered in anger shred this carefully crafted façade, testing her relationships.

Nicolas, her handsome billionaire, is hiding a decades-old secret. Bee's scandal will draw unwanted attention to his dark past, placing the real estate empire he's built and the employees he manages in peril. Hawke, her tattooed bad-boy biker, protects the rich and famous. His high-profile clients won't want their bodyguard to be linked to Chicago's wild woman.

Both men desire her, craving her touch with a white-hot passion, but who will risk everything to stand by her side—her biker or her billionaire?

 Adult Teaser Excerpt:

The doorbell rings mere seconds later. “Aargh.” I stalk across the main room, unable to handle more deliveries. “Make it stop.” I swing the door open, aggravated.

“I’ll make it stop, sweetheart.” Hawke stands before me, clad in his ugly black T-shirt, his faded blue jeans, and big army boots, his tanned skin covered with a sheen of moisture as though he ran the entire way. He’s big and broad, a mountain of a man, and there’s no one I trust more with righting my world.

“Hawke.” I throw myself at him, my heart pounding.

He catches my smaller body, cups my ass, and lifts me upward, pressing me against his solid form, the barbed wire tattoo encircling his right bicep rippling.

“I’m here.” Hawke walks into the condo, carrying me easily, and I link my fingers behind his neck, never wanting to let him go. “Everything will be okay,” he assures me as he kicks the door shut behind him.

“I don’t know how anything will ever be okay again,” I mumble into his neck, inhaling his unique scent, a combination of engine grease, leather, and man. “I’ve put my best friend in danger.” I gaze up at his rugged countenance, the silver scar on his chin a reminder of his difficult life. “I—”

Hawke covers my lips with his, the force of his kiss driving my head back, evaporating my thoughts and tightening my nipples. I open to him, welcoming my badass biker into my mouth, our tongues dueling, dancing, drawing us together, meshing us into one being.

My fingers spread over his skull, his hair short and soft under my palms. Hawke’s chest flattens my breasts. His defined abs undulate against my fabric-covered pussy, the pressure exciting me. He strokes into me, the stubble on his chin blazing a trail across my skin, and I respond with no inhibitions, sucking on his tongue as I wish to suck on his cock, tasting him, savoring him.

There’s no fear of Hawke judging me, rejecting me. He embraces my wild nature, encourages my perversions. With him, I’m safe, accepted, worthy.

He falls backward, his ass smacks against the leather couch cushion, and I bounce on top of him, the contact driving my arousal upward. His massive hands slide up my back, the friction delightful. I arch, rubbing my taut nipples against him, frustrated by the layers of clothing between us.

He breaks our kiss and rests his forehead against mine, the tips of our noses touching, both of us breathing heavily. “Who are you thinking about, love?”

“What?” I blink at him, my brain fuzzy with passion.

Hawke smiles his lopsided smile, his white teeth flashing in his tanned face. “Exactly.” He nips my bottom lip. “When we kiss, you don’t think about anyone else.”

Discover Cynthia Sax's Sinful Rewards Series

Sinful Rewards – Billionaires, Bikers And Bad Boys
Cynthia Sax

The first installment in Sinful Rewards, my sizzling new contemporary erotic romance serial from Avon, releases today (priced at a delicious 99 cents). Sinful Rewards is a sexy love triangle with Bee, a struggling new grad, torn between Nicolas, a billionaire with a dark secret, and Hawke, a tattooed bad boy biker.

Yes, so many b’s. (grins) I didn’t realize that until I started writing blog posts. But don’t the yummiest types of heroes start with b’s – billionaires, bikers, bad boys?

I have a weakness for billionaire heroes. They’re the alpha dogs of the business world. They’ve achieved great success, both in their careers and financially. Many of them have built companies and lead employees. Often these employees are extremely loyal to their CEOs.

Nicolas is no exception. His employees will volunteer to work weekends (he pays them, of course). This handsome young billionaire has built a real estate empire, providing homes for individuals and families. He isn’t perfect. He’s hiding a secret and he’s done some very bad things but he’s worthy of lasting love (although he believes he isn’t).

I love biker heroes also. They’re rebels, free spirits, appealing to my gypsy soul. They often belong to motorcycle clubs, a collection of men and women they’d do anything for. They wear black leather, are covered with ink, hit the open road every chance they can.

Hawke, my hero in Sinful Rewards, is my first biker hero. His club doesn’t belong to the 1%, breaking laws and creating chaos. He rides with veterans, men and women who have fought for their fellow law abiding Americans. But Hawke is still a bad boy. He wears black leather, has tattoos, is as tough and rough as a man can be.

Which is your favorite hero – the billionaire, the biker or the bad boy?

Blurb:

Belinda "Bee" Carter is a good girl; at least, that's what she tells herself. And a good girl deserves a nice guy—just like the gorgeous and moody billionaire Nicolas Rainer. He is everything she wants in a man.

Or so she thinks, until she takes a look through her telescope and sees a naked, tattooed man on the balcony across the courtyard. Hawke is mysterious, the bad boy she knows will bring only heartbreak. He has been watching her, and that makes him all the more enticing.

But when a mysterious and anonymous text message dares her to do something bad, she must decide if she is really the good girl she has always claimed to be, or if she's willing to risk everything for her secret fantasy of being watched.

Is her mystery man the reclusive billionaire with a wild side or the darkly dangerous bad boy?

Excerpt:

Voices murmur outside the condo’s door, the sound piercing my delightful daydream. I swing the telescope upward, not wanting to be caught using it. The snippets of conversation drift away.

I don’t relax. If the telescope isn’t in the same spot as it was positioned last night, Cyndi will realize I’ve been using it. She’ll tease me about being a fellow pervert, sharing the story, embellished for more dramatic effect, with her stern serious dad or, worse, with Angel, that snobby friend of hers.

I’ll die. It’ll be worse than being the butt of jokes in high school because that ridicule had been about my clothes and this will center around the part of my soul I’ve always kept hidden. It’ll also be the truth and I won’t be able to deny it. I am a pervert.

I have to return the telescope to where it was positioned. This is the only acceptable solution. I tap the metal tube.

Last night, my man-crazy roommate had been giggling over the new guy in three eleven north. The previous occupant had been a gray-haired, bowtie-wearing tax auditor, his luxurious accommodations supplied by Nicolas. The most exciting thing he ever did was drink his tea on the balcony.

According to Cyndi, the new occupant is a delicious piece of man candy, tattooed, buff, and head-to-toe lickable. He’d been completing arm curls outside and she’d enthusiastically counted his reps, oohing and aahing over his bulging biceps, calling to me to take a look.

I’d resisted that temptation, focusing on making macaroni and cheese for the two of us, the recipe snagged from the diner my mom works in. After we scarfed down dinner with Cyndi licking her plate clean, she left for the club and hasn’t returned.

Three eleven north is the mirror condo to ours. I straighten the telescope. That position looks about right but then, the imitation UGGS I bought in second year college looked about right also. The first time I wore the boots in the rain, the sheepskin fell apart, leaving me barefoot in Economics 201.

Unwilling to risk Cyndi’s friendship on about right, I gaze through the eyepiece. The view consists of rippling golden planes, almost like…

Tanned skin pulled over defined abs.

I blink. It can’t be. I take another look. A perfect pearl of perspiration clings to a puckered scar. The drop elongates more and more, stretching, snapping. It trickles downward, navigating the swells and valleys of a man’s honed torso.

No. I straighten. This is wrong. I shouldn’t watch our sexy neighbor as he stands on his balcony. If anyone catches me…

I glance behind me. There’s no one here to catch me. Cyndi won’t know I looked. The hunk in three eleven north won’t know I looked. I’m not harming anyone.

I bend over and take another peek.

The sunlight casts interesting shadows across his stomach, accentuating the ridges of muscle, the dip of his navel. I dart my tongue over my suddenly dry lips. His skin is marred with silver scars, some round, some slashes, this proof of hard living, of survival, arousing me, tightening my nipples and moistening my pussy.

I shouldn’t lust after him. He’s the wrong kind of man, the leaving kind, too virile and feral to stay in one place for long. I can tell this from his stance, from his brazen exhibitionism. He wants me to look at him, to care for him. I tilt the telescope downward. His hips are slim. More scars are etched along the bones. Fine brown hair trails from his navel to…

My mouth drops open. He’s completely naked.

Guest Author Day with Cynthia Sax

Cynthia Sax Loving Plants… A Bit Too Much

I love plants, LOVE them. My roots are in farming (I LOVE puns too - grins) so I’ve inherited a love of making things grow. This love translates to the plants themselves. I’ve cared for some of my plants since my university days and I’ve formed an emotional attachment to them.

My favorite plant is Fern (and Fern’s babies). Fern is a Rabbit’s Foot Fern. He has lush lacey fronds and furry rhizomes that hang over the side of the container. Yes, Fern is pet-able! He’s soft to stroke.

Fern is very aggressive. If left unchecked, he’ll creep along entire rooms, searching for a place to set down more roots. He has killed off neighboring plants and taken over their pots. He doesn’t need a mate to reproduce. He simply splits off his rhizomes.

Steve, the man-eating plant in Menage Lost, is based upon my beloved plant Fern. Steve reproduces using his rhizomes (there’s no plant sex in Menage Lost – Steve doesn’t need anyone else, not even a female). He’s the alpha being on his plant-dominated planet, and he aggressively defends that role, killing off any rivals, plant, animal, or alien.

Steve, being a plant in the future, has evolved past Fern’s stage. Fern can detect light, turning his fronds toward the sun. Steve can see (what he sees, I don’t know). Fern creeps. Steve moves faster, giving him the ability to kill.

Despite his murderous tendencies and his unabashed arrogance, I fell in love with Steve during the writing of Menage Lost… which some readers find funny because he’s a plant. But hey, plants need love too!

Menage Lost Blurb

Trapped on a plant-dominated planet, Mirian hasn’t seen another humanoid in five years. She has never seen humanoids resembling Furu and Xan, a beautiful aristocrat and his beastly warrior lover. Watching their shared passion makes her burn with desire and ache for companionship.
Mirian wants to experience the ecstasy of their touch. She eagerly trades the only thing she owns—her body—for what she believes to be a breathtakingly ardent casual affair.
Furu and Xan don’t engage in casual affairs. They want Mirian permanently as their breeder and they’ll break every rule, battling their unnatural female, a male-eating plant and the entire Balazoid army to claim her.

Menage Lost Excerpt

An artificial thunder rolled across the mist-covered sky, the unnatural sound signaling a change Mirian both welcomed and dreaded.
“Do you hear that?” She tilted her head back. “Ohhh…the visitors are landing.” Mirian bounced on the balls of her bare feet, nervous and excited and scared. “They’re landing, Steve.”
A small silver ship, the same ship she’d spotted skimming along the planet’s surface yesterday, emerged from the heavy blanket of moisture. Dewdrops dappled its metallic panels. Markings in a language she didn’t know were boldly etched along its hull.
“I thought we’d never see another being ever again.” She trembled with excitement, having lived as the solitary humanoid on the vegetation-dominated plant for the past five years, that status pushing her to the edge of insanity.
“So please don’t eat them.” Mirian glanced over her shoulder at the plant looming above her, his fuchsia flowers angled toward the ship, his blooms serving as eyes, his visual system as evolved as those found in warm-blooded life forms.
“Unless they’re slavers.” She shuddered, remembering how the slavers had dragged away the discovery team’s leader Denise, the humanoid female’s heart-wrenching screams haunting Mirian’s dreams.
“If they’re slavers, eat them and leave the ship intact,” she advised. Many of her supplies were sourced from a replicator and the machine desperately needed parts, the rectangular prism frame held together with twigs and hand-twisted twine.
“Don’t let them capture me as you let them capture Denise. I’m your friend, remember.” Mirian tapped a broad green leaf, Steve’s veins plump and heavy with a red liquid resembling blood, the uniquely Viridian plant incorporating animalistic attributes. “I feed you Sus, those sweet little rodents you like. I—”
The roar of the ship’s engines drowned out Mirian’s words. Wind whipped her hair back and rippled the blue mud she’d slathered on her skin, the decaying vegetation’s stench masking her human scent, the cool layer lowering her body temperature.
“Please let them be humanoid,” she murmured, clasping her calloused hands together. Steve, the alpha plant she’d named after her first botany professor, curled a comforting vine around her shoulder, and she leaned into him, his leaves pressing against her bare back, supporting her weight.
The ship landed with a planet-shaking thud, boulders rattling, and a tree limb crashing to the ground. Steve fluttered his leaves, expressing his irritation with the disturbance.
Mirian groaned, the visitors’ careless landing dramatically lowering their odds of survival, Steve viewing any affront to his planet as an act of aggression. “Don’t hurt them.” She rubbed the healed puncture marks on her right arm, the scars a constant reminder of the plant’s bad temper.
“You don’t know when or if we’ll get more visitors. This could be our only chance.” To re-establish contact with the outside world, to ease the loneliness, to be talk to someone, anyone, to feel human once again. She danced in place, the anticipation almost unbearable. What will they look like?
The high grasses, majestic torch trees, and white clouds reflected off the shiny silver panels, the spacecraft visually disappearing into the landscape. A ramp silently descended, and bright lights illuminated the void, temporarily blinding Mirian.
She glanced down at the ground and bit back a curse, her highly intelligent plant friend not waiting to identify their guests. He slowly snaked his vines along the flattened grass and wrapped them around the landing gear, securing the ship to the planet.
“Subtle, Steve, really subtle.” Mirian rolled her eyes, too exhilarated to be angry with him.
A red beam radiated from the ship and she froze in place, holding her breath, her stomach clenching with fear. The light passed over them, tickling her skin, and dissipated, leaving them unharmed. Not a weapon. She exhaled, sagging forward, and Steve mimicked her actions, his thin, flexible trunk folding into two.
Polished black boots clomped against the metal ramp. Mirian lifted her gaze over a pair of leather-clad legs, the newcomer’s skintight garment covered with a staggering amount of daggers and guns. Thick gloved fingers gripped yet another weapon, that gun larger than the others, and the male’s bulging biceps flexed, his toned chest topped by broad shoulders.
She gazed higher and blinked, taken aback by the raw aggression reflected in the stranger’s fuck-with-me-and-die face, his slicked-back black hair accentuating his white skin, his chin square and firm.
“Humanoid, definitely humanoid,” Mirian murmured. The male glared at his surroundings with blazing red eyes, as though daring someone to attack him, and her pussy moistened, his dominance unexpectedly arousing. “A very sexy humanoid.”
The big brute turned his head with a snap and peered in her direction, his dark brows lowered, shielding his eyes. “Who’s there?” His deep voice echoed as though traveling over a long distance. “Show yourself.”
Helenos no. Mirian remained hidden in the tall grass. Is he a slaver? She glanced at the weapons accessorizing his outfit. He doesn’t look like a slaver. No restraints dangled from his belt. He could be a warrior, but why would a warrior land on Viridi?
Is the why important? He did land and I’m no longer alone. Mirian opened her mouth to answer him.
“Are you talking to the plants, Xan?” A voice originated from the ship.
Another male. She pressed her lips together.
The second male glided down the ramp, his slight, thin form garbed in the same black leather, his skin the whitest white and his eyes a deep crimson. Finely arched eyebrows accentuated a delicate perfect profile.
He’s beautiful. Mirian’s jaw dropped. Fuck me gorgeous.
“I’ve performed multiple scans.” The breathtakingly stunning male waved a small handheld device. “Only Amani-like creatures inhabit Viridi.” The tentacles on his head lifted, each skin-covered strand moving independently.
Tentacles, pale skin, red eyes. Mirian’s shoulders lowered, her concerns vanishing. He’s a Balazoid, friend to the Federation.
“I heard a female voice speaking words in the universal language.” The beastly warrior, Xan, frowned, his wide sloping forehead creasing with lines. “And you saw a larger heat signature.”
“Briefly.” His beautiful companion shrugged his narrow shoulders, his pale lips turned upward. “It was likely a glitch. You know how fragile these instruments are.” He crouched down and jabbed a long needle into the soft ground.
They’re fellow scientists. The Federation sent them back for me, for my research. Mirian covered her mouth with her palms, grateful that she’d continued the readings the Federation had been willing to risk lives to obtain.
She stepped forward, eager to make their acquaintance, to talk to them, to share her discoveries. Steve wrapped a vine around her waist and pulled her backward into the safety of the forest.
“You—”
He smacked a thick vine over her lips, smothering her protests.
Bastard plant.

My Personal Review for The Godrabbit by Cynthia Sax

When I heard Cynthia Sax was writing the prequel to one of my favorite Protect and Serve stories, Badge Bunny, I was thrilled. Finally we get the story of how Flopsy and Grace finally got together and I had to admit, this was one naughty story.

Meet Flopsy Lupin. He is the man you want on a job when it skirts the laws of the land. He is one bad bunny who wants the one woman he thinks he can not have-Lady Grace Satin.

Lady Grace Satin is prim, proper and has the hots for Flopsy. When she is tired of Flopsy of not claiming her, she goes after the man herself. This proper woman has a naughty side you see and one that will have Flopsy tied up in knots, eager for more. Will they have a forever love after their hot one night together?

The Godrabbit is one naughty tale, I have to admit. My poor e-reader was smoking by the time I was done with it and I swore the bunny that lives under the garage was eying me too, not in a good way either. Ms. Sax delivers a short novella that will leave you clamoring for more. The sex is hot, the connection  between Flopsy and Grace is timeless and the story flows smoothly.  I love Cynthia Sax’s writing style. A dash of humor, sexy scenes to intrigue the imagination and some fresh, unique characters to fall in love with are in her stories. This is what makes me want any of this author’s books with a passion.

Flopsy is a character I love. A bad boy with a heart of gold-well if it concerns Grace that is. Otherwise you are wearing cement shoes and ending up in the river. The sparks these two create are smokin’ hot and I swore my e-reader went into convulsions from all the heat these two were packing and I don’t mean a gun either. Some secondary characters popped up that had me wondering what happened after the last page is read. I would love to know more on them and the world Ms. Sax has created here.

The Godrabbit is not for the faint of heart. It has a ton of heat, spice and everything nice. All the right things to have when you want to heat things up on a cool spring evening. I do suggest you grab an ice bucket or your significant other to  help cool you down. The heat gets molten while you read The Godrabbit. If you haven't experinced Ms. Sax's books yet, what are you waiting for-Christmas??!! I suggest you run out to Changeling PRess and see what she has to offer her rabid readers. I can say she has something for every palate-bunnies, vikings and wolves oh my.

Book Review: Protect & Serve: Badge Bunny by Cynthia Sax

I heard so much about Badge Bunny on the loops and blogs that I had to read it, just to see what all the fuss was about. Needless to say, what I found had me hoping there was a sequel coming in the future. Author Cynthia Sax's contribution to the Protect & Serve multi-author series at Changeling Press that had me giggling one minute and the next squirming in my seat.

Now when I saw this cover I was drooling all over the dang keyboard. The cover alone had me eager to see if the story would match it in hotness and I am happy to say it did.

Now onto my review of Badge Bunny (Protect and Serve book) available at Changeling Press.

Officer Drake is human though you can say he also has a few modifications. He’s a genetically enhanced human and oh can’t forget…he is a cop as well. Designed to serve and protect, he gets more than he bargains for when he finds himself knee deep in a mystery with the sexy bunny shifter, Hunny Lapin. She is the one woman who has Drake’s number and before long, these two are engulfed in a passion that flairs into something much more. What is this super cop to do but do his job and love every passionate minute?

BADGE BUNNY is one hilariously fun book to read on a cold winter’s afternoon. Officer Drake had me drooling all over the keyboard with his alpha male sexiness and the sparks that flew between Hunny and Drake had me checking the computer screen time and again to make sure there were no smoke coming from it. Author Cynthia Sax delivers a story that had me at times laughing out loud and then the next, squirming in my seat. All those sexy scenes had me wanting a cold shower to cool off. The writing was tight, the passion was so hot I almost ran outside into a snow bank and the characters were delicious. If there is an Officer Drake running around, can he please come by my house to protect me?

Officer Drake is an enhanced human, one who can break werewolves in half and run faster than speeding car. He lives to serve and protect andh e has his job cut out for him when he is drawn into the world of Hunny Lupine. She is a bunny shifter who finds something going on with a vampire mob boss that puts her life in jeopardy. These two heat the pages up in BADGE BUNNY and I, for one, loved every minute of it. Drake is pure sex on two legs and his alpha male approach had me whimpering in delight. Hunny is a woman not afraid to go after what she wants and she wants Drake. The characters are well rounded and really kept my attention till the very end of the book. There were some wonderful secondary characters that had me giggling at times and kept the story flowing smoothly.

BADGE BUNNY is a hot, fun tale that will keep you flipping the pages until the very end. With the right amount of sexiness, lust and characters that fairly brim with life, Ms. Sax delivers a story that will leave you breathless. I am really hoping this author returns to Officer Drake and Hunny Lupine in the future. If you are looking for a short, hot story to heat your day up, I highly recommend grabbing BADGE BUNNY.
