My Rating of The Summer Book Club: 4 Stars

Summer Book Club has three important rules:

1) No Sad Books

2) No Pressure

3) Wine is ALWAYS welcome!!

For Laurel and Paris, friends forever, Summer Book Club is a time to read, talk about books and get away from the pressures of life be it children, work and other issues that run the gamut in their day to day life. This summer they are welcoming a new person to book club, Cassie, who has some baggage that will rear it's head that summer.

Laurel feels like the worst mom ever when she finds out her daughters have taken her skepticism of men in ways she wasn't anticipating. Cassie always falls for the guys who need help then get dumped when she helps them find ways to succeed. Paris is scared that the one good man she had even as she chased him off and broke her marriage up to him.

Three women find the strength to figure out their lives while finding friendship that will help them even in the worst of times as they read good books, find ways to move forward in whatever way works for them and find out just like the heroines they are reading about over the summer. These three friends will find that changes and risks are scary but with good friends and possibilities they just might find their place in the world in ways they never anticipated.

My Review:

Susan Mallery delivers another wonderful feel-good story that delivers some amazing characters that I could relate to and a storyline that had me glued tot he pages till the very end. With captivating and relatable characters, fast paced storyline and what' more, a summer book club as main plot line as these characters use messages they find in the books they read to take steps to change their lives in ways they never anticipated.

I always enjoy Susan Mallery's books and her latest book, THE SUMMER BOOK CLUB, delivers all the feels for me. From a lush setting to a cast of characters that kept me entertained, I found this latest book to be one wild ride from start to finish. What I enjoyed the most was Cassie, Paris and Laurel's lives and the changes they go for inspiring as well as intriguing. These very different women bolstered each other and rooted for one another which I found refreshing. If you enjoy a great story filled with intriguing characters and a storyline with a few twists even I didn't see coming, then grab THE SUMMER BOOK CLUB for a perfect beach read. Maybe it will inspire you to form your own Book club with friends and family.

This is an objective review and I received an E-ARC from Netgalley from the publisher for an honest review.
