A: Oh I knew my
story needed a metropolis that was as urban as it could get. I knew I was also
going to make it up too.
Q: What’s the “elevator pitch” for your new book, The Witches
Prophecy?
A: A witch/assassin is
tasked to save the world from a primordial being named Chaos or the world will
face an apocalypse all while falling for her best friend of 7 years.
Q: Do you edit as you draft or wait until
you are totally done?
A: I always edit as I
draft or I’ll go crazy. I’m a perfectionist and when I can’t get something
right I will stay up all night until that is taken care of.
Q: Describe your writing space/office!
A: Right now I live with
my daughter so I work in her bedroom at her desk. It’s a nice quiet space and I
put on headphones to be whisked away to my worlds.
Q: What’s your favorite foodie indulgence?
A: Well I am Keto so
most normal food is an indulgence. I like to allow myself to have “normal” food
like etouffee which is my favorite food.
Q: What’s your favorite genre to read?
A: Fantasy.
Q: What’s a recent tv
show/movie/book/podcast you highly recommend?
A: Hmm. That’s a hard one. I don’t watch TV
anymore and I haven’t gone to a movie in 7 years. I recommend watching Rick and
Morty for stress situations. It’s a good stress reliever. I read a good book
for craft which is called How to Self Edit Your Novel (highly recommend) and
anything by Yasmine Galenorn.
Q: What do you do when you have free time?
A: I don’t have a lot of
free time lol. But when I do I watch a lot of Youtube and Rick and Morty. Other
than that I have been reading or creating merch.
Q: What are three words that describe your
Main Characters?
A: Strong, flawed and badass
Q: What can readers expect from you next?
A: I am currently
writing a serial series called The Lunar Prophecy Series. I have already put
out Bound by the Blood Moon and Eclipse of Fate. I am working on the third. I
am having a giveaway too for each rapid release of the series which is every

Janae’s family is from Louisiana and Georgia. She is the
middle child of three. She began her writing career as a teenager in high
school writing steamy love scenes for her classmates. She wasn’t convinced as a
writer until her English teacher found her stories and told her she should
be a writer. She treasured those words for all of her adult
