Please give a warm welcome to Jonah
from One Woman Only by Dee S. Knight today
as we sit down and see what makes him tick.
Q: So tell us about yourself. What got
you in the crosshairs for your author?
I'm one of a set of triplets. Let me
correct that. I'm the bad boy, devil may care one in a set of triplets. My two
brothers are straight shooters. You know the type—great students, set goals,
commitment to the lives they created for themselves. Me, on the other hand?
So-so student, kind of the class clown, never settled on anything I wanted to
commit to or be responsible for. Except for Kelly Shepherd. But I screwed that
up too. My last name is Goodman but I guess Dee felt the need to show me how to
really be a Good Man. I didn't give in gracefully. 😉
Q: What was it that drew you to your
mate?
We were kids when we first met, so in
high school it was her beauty. I'm a guy, after all. But she seemed to see
something in me that no one else did. The Jonah that I didn't know how to show
the world. Of course, after I left her and everything behind by leaving town,
she bought in to my reputation and what she'd thought she saw. Kelly had a hard
time with her own identity problems, so I felt we were alike enough to be
together.
Q: A little naughty fun, where was the
wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?
I her office at work. It had been her
father's office for years, so it was a way to stick a finger in the old man's
eye.
Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?
Briefs. I tried going commando once and
the thought of those short hairs caught in the zipper was too much to get past.
Q: If your partner wants to seduce you,
what's one sure fire trick they can do to seduce you?
Wiggle her behind. I love every inch of
her gorgeous body, but I really enjoy taking her from behind.
Q: What is the one place on your
partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?
Just behind her ear.
Q: What was one of the most
embarrassing things your author did to you in One Woman Only?
She kept bringing up the most horrible
moment in my life. Kelly and I decided that we would give ourselves to each
other on the night of homecoming our senior year of high school. We were in the
back seat of my car. She had on a beautiful silk dress, and had never looked
more beautiful. I put on the condom and…you know, we did it. But I was too
wound up. I hurt Kelly and then came right away before I could make it better
for her. Worst of all, the condom came off as I was pulling out and completely
ruined her dress. There was no way I could face her after that—and as I
overheard the next day, she didn't want me to. So, I dropped out of school and
left home. I went to South Carolina to live with my uncle. Why did Dee
have to keep bringing up that night?? All through the book, over and over.
Enough, already, Dee!
Q: Anything else you would like to add?
Just that I'm so glad Dee gave me my
own book in her Good Man series. My brother Daniel got his story first in Only
a Good Man Will Do, but I don't mind that. Mark, the genius in the family is
coming next. Pretty soon the whole family will be together, living in infamy,
lol!

As far as anyone knows, Jonah Goodman has spent his adult life doing a little of this and a little of that. Everyone thinks he’s good at many things but a master at none. It isn't that he doesn't have the brains or even the heart to be a master. He doesn't have the commitment. He's not like his brother Daniel, so focused on his goal that he blocks out everything else, or his other triplet brother, Mark, to whom focus is unthinkingly part of his genius. Whether his lack of follow through stems from fear or self-doubt, no one but Jonah knows. But it all started his senior year of high school, when he took the virginity of his girl, Kelly Shepherd. He immediately broke up with her and went so far as to drop out of school and move away. Since then, he’s found his place as a simple—but excellent—mechanic, well-known in the world of NASCAR. Now, he's about to meet up with Kelly again in a most interesting venue—his parents' wedding.
Kelly Shepherd has always liked Mr. and Mrs. Goodman. They were the town characters—she a former stripper who had triplets out of wedlock, and he an affable thief who did his time and then came home to be sheltered in the open arms of their small town. Kelly's parents, rich factory owners and employers of most of the town, would never be so loved and appreciated as the Goodmans. Nor would they love each other as the Goodmans did. Or show such open affection for their children. Jonah's parents were one of the reasons Kelly was so happy to start dating him in their senior year. Then she handed over her V-card and everything went to hell. She never even knew why. Now, after a disastrous marriage, a necessary divorce, and a career choice that still disappoints her parents, Kelly is finally returning home to see the couple she most admires marry each other after more than thirty-six years of "living in sin." Her mother's words, not hers. She thinks the one thing spoiling the thought of the weekend is the chance she might see the only man to break her heart. No, not her worthless husband. Jonah Goodman. But there's more, much more ahead.
