Book Tour Stop/Giveaway: Interruption by Victor Pierce

Untether the pleasure.

Reclaim the magic.

Interruption: Kingdom of Paradimia

The Princess Annals Book 2

by Victor Pierce

Genre: Erotic Romantasy

Aaliyah’s journey continues in this erotic fantasy-scape as she struggles to understand whether love includes depravity.

Exposed to a handful of soul dust, Aaliyah re-awakens and sets off to free Gabriel from his prison within the Dry Woods. Outside, she is again confronted by a gryphon but with no not-to-bright knight to defend her. Good thing the gryphon only wants companionship. The flight of a wandering heartsick gryphon is not a direct route to anywhere and after watching a raunch of unicorns, Liyah tumbles into a magical river far from her desired destination. Between encounters with dwarves who remember her forgotten promise and fairies who sell favors for power, she must master the primal magics of patterning and untether the pleasures she once bound to fidelity.  For Liyah has learned that Gabriel, the man who anchors her, is not only trapped in the Dry Woods but also bound by primal locks that will age him to death if opened incorrectly.

Every bit of new magics comes with a cost: soul-dust addiction, bargains that entangle desire and duty, and adversaries who want her power for themselves. With time collapsing and a witch’s spell hovering like an axe, Liyah must decide whether the route to rescue is the same path she promised never to tread—pleasure given away to reclaim what matters most. The question is simple and brutal: how much will she sacrifice to save him?

Liyah blinked and found herself back in her body in the castle’s kitchen. Edwin gazed at her, concerned. “What happened? Are you all right?”

Indeed. She looked down to where the bag of red dust should have been cupped in her hand. The bag, along with its siblings on the table, had disappeared. For a moment, Liyah mourned. She wanted to return.

Edwin must have read her expression. “I removed it. It’s addictive. Soul dust. If I’d known something so powerful was left hanging around in the kitchens, I would have checked and removed it earlier. Perhaps magical royalty is less concerned with lower magics. Are you alright?” He’d rounded the table and stood beside her, rubbing her back.

She wasn’t, but she didn’t want him focused on her. She needed him to return to the dragon. “Lower magics?”

He sighed. “I forget you do not remember certain things. Most things, it seems, related to magics. In my kingdom, Paradimia, we are not generally born magics users, but we do have access to lower magics—magics not of people, but of things, like the soul dust. Low-level magics—from something inanimate, like the dust—may be used by anyone, whether they are magical themselves or not.”

She’d thought this land was without magics, but it seemed there were magics within, just not many magics of living beings. She nodded. “So it is not likely low-level magics would be hanging around in a kitchen. I understand.” She felt around on her body. “I don’t seem to be injured, so perhaps it is time I started my journey.”

“Do you not wish for my company?”

She needed him elsewhere. “It isn’t that I don’t want you with me. My parents need your assistance. Bethela will need another story for the spell needed to put my parents back to sleep. And I am going to the Dry Woods to free Gabriel. You see? We are fated to part ways now.”

It was a pity his expression grew suspicious, for she had relayed the truth. His voice broke as he spoke. “Is it what I did with the gargoyles? Is that why you no longer wish for my assistance?”

She had only briefly thought of the gargoyles since she died. It must have weighed on him. “It is not the gargoyles, although I know you to be the true knight you are from what I witnessed. And I know you to have love in your heart, even when you sometimes speak to me without consideration. No. Here I ask you to be the guardian I know you to be.”

“But why is it important that your parents go back to sleep? Surely they can be of greater assistance awake. They will eventually remember who you are.”

Liyah reached out and squeezed his arm. “I already know who I am, Edwin. That is thanks to you. I am Aaliyah, and I am kind and courageous and determined. I know those things about myself because of you.”

Edwin sighed and leaned back against the table. His golden locks fell against his handsome face. “So now I need to help your parents go back to sleep.”

“Yes. If anyone remembers who I am, a spell will find and kill me. Like the spell that protected the castle.”

He frowned. “Yes. That was very dangerous.”

“And my father says this spell is far worse than the one that chased us about Haven. So, you see, it is imperative that they go back to sleep. I do not wish to separate, but I must free Gabriel. When I left him, he was afire again.”

The Princess Annals: Kingdom of Haven

The Princess Annals Book 1

In this fantasy world of the erotic, Aaliyah must journey to find her lost identity. Aaliyah awakens in an empty castle with no memory and only an enchanted clock to send her on her quest. Seduce by one not-to-bright knight, Aaliyah finds herself hunted by an unseen force yet imbued with powerful magic. She must coerce horny pixies, swap sex stories with a dragon, and rely on that same not-too-bright knight to seduce the gargoyle king and his coven in order to secure the incantation that will reveal who she is. And her unknown enemy is catching up to her fast.

Aaliyah’s journey sends her to Gabriel imprisoned in a magical wood. She grows to love Gabriel and discovers that the only thing which can release him now is love, absolute. But how can she love completely if she doesn’t know who she is?

Beware gentle reader; thread carefully through this erotic romp as a woman awakened to her innate powers risks all to discover her true self before an unseen enemy annihilates her.

This is the first Aaliyah story in the series.

The wait is over!

After years of tension, sacrifice, and impossible choices, Beck, Heavenly, and Seth finally reach the moment everything has been building toward. This is their hard-won, emotionally loaded, no-pulling-punches happily-ever-after—and it does not arrive quietly.

This is a read-in-order saga built on:
💥 high-stakes drama
🔥 scorching heat
🖤 kink with heart
❤️ messy, emotional bonds that refuse to play nice

If you’re caught up, this is the payoff you’ve been waiting for.

If you’re not… now is the time.

It’s the momentous day we've all been waiting for—The Commitment finally releases, delivering the long-awaited, scorching conclusion to Beck, Heavenly, and Seth's unforgettable journey!

Get ready for the ultimate payoff in love, trust, and passion—start with this exclusive excerpt below.

At the bottom of the stairs, Heavenly and Seth stopped short at the sight of Beck leaning against the granite counter, talking to Pike, of all people. He looked thoroughly disreputable and out of place in their pristine kitchen, dressed in head-to-toe black.

“Cooper,” Pike said stiffly as he turned toward them, maintaining a careful distance from Seth. Then he nodded her way. “Heavenly.”

“Pike,” Seth returned with equal coolness, squeezing her hand protectively.

“Morning, Cullen.” She tried to lighten the mood. “Coffee?”

“He was just leaving.” Beck clapped Pike on the shoulder and hustled him to the foyer. “Good to see you, man. Thanks for stopping by.”

Then, with a slam of the door, he was gone.

“What was that about?” Seth demanded the moment Beck returned.

“Club business. Pike watches everyone at Shadows, making sure they’re playing safely—”

“And putting a lot of scenes in his spank bank,” Seth quipped.

Heavenly swatted his shoulder. “Don’t put that visual in my head. Please.”

They all laughed before Beck went on. “And since Pike was here, I picked his brain for something…special.”

Seth raised a brow. “Ideas from Pike? Since that man’s idea of ‘special’ involves livestock and bodily fluids, no thanks.”

“I used his extraordinarily bent thoughts for good this time,” Beck assured, turning back to finish cooking breakfast. “I think you’ll like this. I’ll explain while we eat. Come here, little girl.”

Heavenly smiled and crossed the floor to kiss Beck’s cheek. He caught her around the waist, and the quick peck she intended became something raw and passionate that made her knees go weak.

“I need caffeine and food before any of that, mister.” She wriggled free with a grin.

They all laughed, but as they sat with their plates, Seth’s nervousness ticked up.

Beck’s sharp gaze missed nothing. He slammed his coffee mug on the table with a clatter. “Whatever’s up with you, man, spit it out.”

Seth set down his fork and heaved a long sigh. “I know this is the worst timing ever, but…” He recounted the call he’d received from his mother and her horror at finding the twins sharing a woman. “She wants me to fly back there and, um…talk some sense into those ‘deviants.’ Yes, the ridiculousness of her request isn’t lost on me.”

It wasn’t funny…but it kind of was. It was also deeply concerning. If Grace thought Jack and Connor were deviants for sharing the same girl, what would the woman think of her? Heavenly couldn’t help but fear Grace Cooper would see her as the harlot who had corrupted her son. Would the woman ever accept Seth’s relationship with her and Beck?

“So let me get this straight,” Beck drawled with characteristic snark. “Your saintly Catholic mother wants you—the poster boy for debauchery—to preach about one-man-one-woman wholesomeness? Should I start the slow clap now or wait for the encore?”

“Like I said, it’s peak irony. And completely futile. Those leopards aren’t changing their spots. I tried.”

“Of course they’re not. You gave them that speech when you caught them over the summer. It failed spectacularly.”

Seth winced. “She doesn’t know that, and I can’t tell her. She’d freak that I didn’t come clean.”

“Because if you had…the twins would rat you out about us.” Beck winced. “Gotta love it. So you’re supposed to fly to New York to tell them to ‘Just say no?’”

“This isn’t you running away again, is it?” Heavenly had to ask.

Seth’s stare snapped to hers. Hurt flashed across his features before he shook his head. “I’m not, angel. Since my mom called, I’ve been wondering how I could turn this situation to our advantage. I have an idea.”

Beck glanced her way, then raised a brow at Seth. “We’re listening.”

“If I can get Mom to admit she’d never care about her sons any less for being with whoever they love, that any grandchildren would be welcome no matter the circumstances… Maybe I can lay the groundwork for her to accept us.”

Relief swirled with hope in Heavenly’s chest. Not that she wanted Seth to leave or for the twins to be out of their mom’s good graces, but he was onto something. “That might actually work. Appeal to her heart.”

Seth’s voice carried conviction now. “Exactly. It won’t be easy, and her attitude won’t change overnight. But Mom asking me to come fix this situation could be a blessing in disguise.”

Beck pondered Seth for a protracted moment. “All right. But you come home to us. No matter what happens back there.”

“I will. I told her I’d fly out on Tuesday, but I have to be back by the weekend.” Seth lifted her hand and pressed his lips to her palm.

Heavenly felt a flutter of relief in her belly. His words melted away some of her lingering concerns.

“Good thinking,” Beck said, pushing back from the table. “My thoughts were on a similar path. That’s another reason I called Pike this morning and asked him to stop by. I wanted to arrange something special for us tonight. A celebration. Well, a spicy one.”

Heavenly’s pulse quickened. “What are you up to?”

With a wicked grin, he reached under the table. “All the ways I’m going to make you beg later, but I digress. This is an adventure. Can you two get free this evening? We need to leave about an hour before dusk.”

Maybe Heavenly shouldn’t be, but she was excited. “I just have to study some and finish a paper, but it won’t take all day.”

Seth shrugged. “I’m going to do my laundry for the trip and touch base with River, let him know I’m jetting out. Other than that, I’m good. So…you going to tell us what you have in mind?”

“Nah. But I think you’ll really enjoy it. We all will.” Beck’s eyes glittered with mischief as he looked at Heavenly. “I suggest you rest up today. Oh, and I hope you can run.”

New Release Blitz: Free Fall by Lisabet Sarai

Forbidden love lights the darkest reaches of space – #NewRelease #LGBTQ #EroticRomance #SciFi

By Lisabet Sarai

My new novella Free Fall began with an impulse purchase. Just of fun, I was browsing the website of one of my favorite artists, James Help (https://goonwrite.com). His strikingly original pre-made covers always impress me, while his hilariously snarky demo titles often have me laughing out loud. Most of the time, unfortunately, the genres on which he focuses don’t match my work very well. On this visit, however, I noticed a cover that really spoke to me. It featured an evocative image of two beautiful women, one blonde and one brunette, sitting close together in some sort of a futuristic night club.

I didn’t have a book for this cover, but the drama and passion lurking in that image were so strong that I just had to buy it. The JPG file sat, untitled, on my hard disk for more than a year while I worked on other projects. Finally I cleared my WIP backlog and started thinking about what to write next. I pulled up the draft cover and got the same punch-in-the-gut feeling about the women that I’d experienced when I first saw it. I realized that I had to write their story—even though, at the start, I had no idea, aside from their obvious mutual attraction,  what that story might be.

Creating Free Fall was far more difficult that most of my writing projects. Usually when I begin a book, I have at least a mental outline, with the major events and the expected ending already established. With this novella, I was feeling my way, trying to discover just who Rain and Mariel were, why they were in love, and how they were going to survive. When I sat down to write the first chapter, it flowed onto the page, desperately erotic. After that, though, I really had to dig. The fact that this was science fiction made things even harder; that genre requires a delicate balance between imagination and plausibility. And sometimes too much thought and calculation can stifle inspiration.

Now that the book’s done, I’m pretty happy with it. It captures the sense of danger I felt when I first saw the cover, as well as the love-and-lust connection between the two protagonists.

I only hope my readers agree.

PG Excerpt (Mariel)

With the moon on the other side of the planet, the port set in the outside wall shows the velvet blackness of space. It’s beautiful. Peaceful. Mariel yearns for peace.

Rain is the only thing that keeps her from disarming the outer door, flipping the double lever and stepping out into the void.

There’s no sense of movement, but as the station rotates the Earth swings back into view, its blue-green swirls luminous and jewel-like. From up here you can’t see the wildfires or the swathes of dead ocean.

Minutes crawl by. Her frantic pulse slows. Now there’s a deeper ache, as if a giant fist clutches at her heart. She closes her eyes and wills herself to be patient. There are a million reasons why her lover might be delayed.

Finally she hears the soft whoosh of the latch. Slinky and silent as a cat, her midnight-dark hair tumbling over her shoulders, Rain slips into the airlock and pushes the door shut. Then she reaches down to pull Mariel up and into her arms.

Spicy Summer Romance: Trust with Hearts by Kelli A. Wilkins

Spicy Summer Romance: Trust with Hearts

By Kelli A. Wilkins

www.KelliWilkins.com

Hi everyone,

Today I’m sharing a look at the making of my spicy summer romance, Trust with Hearts.

Readers are always curious about how books “happen” ‒ how do they start out as a random idea and become an actual book, filled with great characters, drama, and sizzling love scenes? The answers vary, and each novel comes to me in a different way.

So how did Trust with Hearts come about? Is the sexy and sultry Curtis based on a particular country music celebrity? Here’s the scoop…

The idea for Trust with Hearts came to me before a country music concert. I was sitting in the front row before the show started, when all of a sudden the whole plot and all the characters jumped into my head. Naturally, I started scribbling down notes (on the back of an envelope, of all things!) before the house lights went down.

Although inspired by real-life, the character of Curtis isn’t based on that one particular country music superstar – he’s a blend of three or four cowboy-hat-wearing singer/songwriters. Elements of the “inspirational” singer are there, but I used my imagination to fill in background details and invented whatever else I needed to make the story work.

Here’s the book summary and links:

TRUST WITH HEARTS

After a bitter breakup, Sherrie Parker seeks refuge at her cousin Dave’s house in rural West Virginia. Early one morning, she runs into Dave’s other houseguest, a singer named Curtis Taylor. The last thing Sherrie wants is to share living quarters with a country music crooner – even if he is sexy, in a cowboy sort of way.

Thrown together by circumstances, Sherrie and Curtis get off to a rocky start, but soon discover they have more in common than they ever imagined. Unable to fight their growing attraction, they give in to their desires and start a sizzling summer romance.

Everything is perfect between them until Sherrie discovers that Curtis is keeping secrets from her – and his biggest secret of all will change everything. Can their newfound love survive, or will destiny keep them apart forever?

***

Trust with Hearts is a bit different from my other romances in that it has a more “traditional” romance novel feel – but still contains plenty of summer heat. Although Sherrie and Curtis are attracted to each other, they’re total strangers and are hesitant about getting involved in a relationship. They’ve both been unlucky in love, and aren’t sure if giving their hearts away is even worth the time or trouble.

The book gives them the whole summer to get to know each other. Readers peek into their troubled pasts and follow along as Curtis and Sherrie heal their hearts, love, and learn to trust again.

The subplot of the book – Sherrie’s devotion to save Kitty Corner – was crucial because I wanted to give her a purpose, something to build her self-esteem. Sherrie’s cat adoption project lets her help unfortunate cats who need rescuing and good homes. It parallels how Dave takes Sherrie in (aka “rescues” her) and gives her a second chance at a new life.

And, on a more personal note, giving Sherrie the “job” of helping cats allowed me to make a social/personal statement. I’m a cat person and I’ve written three cat care books. I always advocate adopting pets (of all kinds) from shelters and giving them a real home. (Would you want to live out the rest of your life in a wire cage?)

Trust with Hearts was a lot of fun to write and blends a sultry romance with heartwarming drama. Add it to your summer reading list before the season ends!

Happy Summer Reading,
