Welcome V.S. Nelson & the Villain in her series, Bagsu

Please give a warm welcome to Bagsu from the series, Sekhmet’s Guardians by V. S. Nelson today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?
Not exactly sure what you know or don’t know about me so let’s start from the beginning. For starters, I’m the leader of Set’s Legions. I’m also immortal. I have a short fuse, don’t take any bull shit off anyone, human or not, and I have an incredible appetite for human blood.

Crosshairs – author – hum, let’s just say she gets under my skin every time she tries to play good Samaritan by trying to unite my twin brother and I. You’d think by now she would know, we, meaning the Legion, are war with Sekhmet’s Guardians. There is no reconciling the past. What is done is done and we’ve both chosen our own path to fulfill our destiny.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?
Don’t have a mate. Never been one to settle down with just one.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?
Honey, I’ve seduced more women than you count… Let’s see, wildest place? Guess that would have been during the Siege of Antioch. Gabe with his do-gooder Guardian’s charged into the battle to save the day. My legions held them at bay… at least long enough for me to get my rocks off with three of the prettiest maidens I had ever come across. There we were naked as Jay Birds going at it like there was no tomorrow right next to the burning church. It would have made quite the picture… if cameras were invented back then.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?
Always commando – why waste time. I also like my women naked.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?
…Never been one to be seduced… Don’t forget, I’m the seducer.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?
No woman can resist me… once I bite, there is no turning back.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in the series so far?
Think that was back in Book Three, Eternal Blades. Unab, another one of Set’s Primes delivered a pretty little brunette to me. Good thing I wanted to saver her flavors before I drained her dry.  Turned out she was my brother’s mate. I know I said things are pretty bad between us, but come on’ I’m not sick enough to take his one true love... war or no war.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?
I want to thank you for having me today… I would like to mention that Eternal Tuat will be released in the Spring. I’m sure you are going to love it… I’m such a lovable guy (wink) and I’ll be revealing a whole lot about myself, the Legion and of course those damn do-gooders, Sekhmet’s Guardians. We all have skeletons in our closet and I’m about to reveal the truth to the whole world.

Thank you Bagsu for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. You can find all of Ms. Nelson’s books including her Sekhmet Guardian Series on Amazon. Bagsu was kind enough to bring a little snippet from Eternal Tuat. Knowing him he probably stole it from the author’s computer. Unlike the other books in the series, Eternal Tuat is written from the first person, Bagsu’s POV. For those of you that are familiar with the Guardian Series, Bagsu takes us back in time, back to the beginning when the brothers were still united as a family. This particular scene takes place just after Lance aka Maba is born.

SNIPPET:
I find Netri, our cook, putting the food away. She’s tall for a woman and very old. Her hair matches her dull grey eyes. Dressed in a simple long green sleeveless abaya she asks if I’m hungry then sets a plate of cold flat-bread down on the table. From a clay pitcher she pours me a cup of Hqt. The nutritious, thick, sweet warm beer is made from pieces of dried bread and flavored with dates. It warms my insides as the night air is turning cool.
“Have you met your new brother?” she asks, taking a seat across from me.
“Not officially, but I saw him… Netri, I think they made a mistake. He can’t be…” My sentence falls off before I share what is really on my mind. I’ve learned in my short years, sometimes is it better to keep things you are thinking to yourself. But Netri is the wisest of all of our servants. She takes a drink from her cup then says, “You are bothered by his appearance.” She worded it more of a statement than a question.
“Forgive me, I shouldn’t have said anything.”
“You are too observant for your own good and you are too young to think of such things. Believe me when I tell you, Maba is your brother. Someday, when you are older I will tell you of the events that surrounded his creation, but not today.”
Events? Creation? What is she talking about?

Teen Blurb states, “V.S. Nelson has truly created a unique storyline by combining Native American and Egyptian Mythology; an unlikely duo! The descriptions and the attention to detail will marvel the reader and make them feel like they are sitting beside the characters, feeling their happiness, sharing their sorrow, and meeting their destiny.”
