‘Your brass is ballsy, Kage Sable.’ – Harlow Meridien.
Running from her past, Harlow lives for the present. She’s sassy-smart-strong. A genius, generous, confident scientist developing a groundbreaking propulsion technology that’s attracted the attention of The Sable Group, and Kage Sable, to be exact.
He’s a master builder, an ex-warrior, a kick-ass engineer with sexy nerd energy and her new ‘boss’. His shop is responsible for an enviable fleet of high-tech corvettes, luxury flyers and racing pinnaces – helping to cement the Sable Riders’ dominance across Pegasi.
Convinced she’s the woman for him, Kage is determined to make Harlow his. He strongly believes every superwoman needs a superman. Problem is, she’s not so sure. She’s got a bad history with men. All she wants to do is focus on her work that could shift the balance of power in the Pegasi System.
She’s wary of Kage’s moxie and full-on thrust at life and love and doesn’t think she’s ready for that much intensity yet. But he slowly draws her in, one delicious moment at a time.
From subterranean speakeasies, sunken casinos and ancient ruins to fighting dens and exquisite eateries, Kage takes Harlow on dizzying flights of pure bliss across Eden II to convince her he’s light years from the ‘lame, always running game’ losers of her past. Instead, he’s a real man with strong convictions and the best intentions, who believes in an impossible love.
Together, they’ll fight for the relationship they want while keeping their top-secret breakthrough from a swarm of greedy, ruthless galactic hustlers. Together, they’ll fall into a twilight dusk of heady love and impossible starlight.

Interview with Sky Gold;
Tell us about your latest book, who are the main character(s) and what can we expect when we pick it up?
Harlow
is a sassy-smart-strong scientist who lives for the present.
Kage
is a master builder, an ex-warrior, and a kick-ass engineer with sexy nerd
energy.
She’s
designed top-secret technology that could shift the balance of power in the
Pegasi System.
He’s her new ‘boss’ who’s convinced she’s the woman for him.
The problem is, she’s not so sure.

Who are some authors that you look to for inspiration?
The authors/books I’ve loved in the past include:
•
All
of Kristen Ashley’s
contemporary romance books
•
All
of Zoey Draven’s
scifi books
•
Leviathan
Falls by James S. A. Corey (and the entire Expanse series)
• Wrecking Ball by P. Dangelico
If someone were to narrate your life, who would you want the narrator to be and why?
Michelle
Obama.
Because
of everything she is. Strong, warm, sassy and a fighter for what truly matters
- friendship, children’s rights, integrity and true inclusion.
Which of your characters would you want to share a campfire with, and why?
I’d
love to hang out with ALL the Sable Riders and their women. They’re fun,
down-to-earth, and strong, yet they’re badass, ruthless ex-warriors who find
love knocking on each of their doors. One by one, these badasses meet their
matches and find their prize possessions. Imbuing the Riders with passion,
meaning and joy, they each didn’t think they deserved, given their humble and
tragic origins.
Tell us about what you are reading at the moment or anticipate reading in the future?

• The Shadow and Bone Trilogy by Leigh Bardugo
How long did it take you to get your rough draft finished on your latest release?
The book idea took about two months to perfect, and writing it took another four months.
Do you have a favourite quote from your book(s)?
In Chapter 2, Kage and Harlow spar with each other as they work out the attraction and conflict between them:
He
rolled his misted bottle in his large hand, speaking slowly, deliberately. ‘You just haven’t met the right man.’
She
almost choked over the skillet. ‘You’re an arrogant, smug piece
of work.’
‘And you’re one sassy, mouthy, feisty, beautiful woman.’
What led you to become an author?
I’ve
always written for work (I’m a marketing professional) and also loved reading
til the wee hours of the morning. So it wasn’t a huge leap from my current
career to writing. And the insights from my career have certainly helped me
with test and learn strategies to work out quickly that people love and will
keep reading.
What was the inspiration behind your latest/upcoming book, Stars At Dusk? What sparked the idea?
I love the stars, stargazing and everything poetic and romantic about space. Stars are the most luminous bodies in the sky, so it wasn’t a major leap to name the books after them that feature a hopefully lupous love story.
The title ‘Stars at Dusk’ relates to Kage and Harlow’s relationship and how together, they fight for the relationship they want while keeping their top-secret breakthrough from a ruthless and secret galactic organisation. While falling into a twilight dusk of heady love and impossible starlight.
It’s a
sci-fi, double POV, HEA romance packed with epic jolts and sweet feels - because finding true love is divine! Of
course, it helps when you have a new, paradise-like world in which to explore a
decadent romance.
What inspires you to write your characters?
I’ve got a couple of inspirations sources:
•
I’ve always wanted to create
heroes and heroines with sensual strength and heart - because we all need inspo
to give back and leave the world a better place - and have loads of fun and
heartfelt passion along the way.
•
I’ve dabbled with a few
cli-fi themes - because our climate matters too!
•
My
younger sister inspired the book’s
sassy dialogue - she’s
a firecracker!
• These characters are quickly becoming my BFFs … and I hope they become yours too.
What types of books do you enjoy reading in your spare time? What books are on your summer TBR stack?
•
King:
The Life of Martin Luther King by Jonathan Eig
•
The
Serpent and the Wings of Night, by Carissa Broadbent
•
A
Kingdom of Flesh and Fire by Jennifer L. Armentrout
•
The
Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas
•
All
my upcoming books on the edit pile.
What’s next for you, do you have any exciting projects coming up? Are you writing another book?
The
sequel to Stars at Dusk is Stars of Gems - which is currently on Pre-Order with
a launch date of June 11, 2023. It’s
an enemies-to-lovers HEA with major supernatural themes and an overarching love
story between two diametrically opposed characters. He’s ice, she’s fire, he’s an ice-cold tundra, she’s a raging wild flame.
