Are you ready for a new MC Romance series? For fans of
the Dixie Reapers MC or Devil’s Fury MC you’ve met Lynx and Meredith before…
Now it’s time to find out more about them 😊
Thanks for stopping by to talk
a little about your writing!
Let's jump right in. When did
you begin writing and why?
I’ve pretty much always written, but it
was in high school my love for writing was rekindled. I started a novel back
then, but couldn’t finish it. Life got in the way and I wandered off from
writing and fell back in love with it again in my late twenties – which is when
I completed my first novel. I’ve been writing ever since.
Fire off five words to
describe your book.
Steamy, Drama, Biker, Age-Gap, Tear-Jerker
Give us an out of
context quote from your book to warm our hearts.
“Whatever she needs, we’ll make it happen.”
Name one song or artist
that gets you fired up.
Hard to pick only one… Hm… Mental Health by Quiet Riot
How do you
find readers in today's market?
Mostly on social media. The bulk of my readers hangout on
Facebook.
Do you come
up with the hook first, or do you create characters first and then dig through
until you find a hook?
There’s not really an order to how I write. Sometimes I get
a general story idea, other times I know my characters up front. It varies from
book to book.
How do you
create your characters?
Each character has bits and pieces of
myself, friends, family, and the rest is completely made up. The characters
tend to create themselves, and each evolves throughout the story.
What are you currently
reading?
I’m actually not reading anything right now. But the last thing I read
was The Warden by MJ Haag. I like a lot of fantasy romances, young adult books,
and manga.
Any advice for newly
sparking writers in three sentences or less.
Don’t give up. Don’t expect instance success. And be prepared to work
your butt off to achieve your goals.
If you had to write your
memoir in five words, what would you write?
Though the road is paved with ash and
flame, there’s always the hope tomorrow will be a brighter day. (probably not
the best question to ask me LOL)
How often does your muse
distract you from day-to-day minutiae?
My brain never shuts off. Nearly every
minute of every day I’m either thinking of writing, working on marketing, or
daydreaming about possible future stories. But I write full-time, so the
day-to-day has to fit around my writing.
Can you briefly describe
your writing process for us?
Throw words at the page and hope it works out? I’m kidding. Somewhat. I
don’t plot. Ever. I’ve tried it, and each and every time it was a dismal
failure. I just sit down and start writing. Sometimes I keep what I’ve written,
and other times I go back to read it in a few days and the first thought in my
head is “what the hell was I thinking?” … My stories tend to be character
driven, and by that I mean I let the characters lead the way. Even I don’t know
how it’s going to end, except for the HEA. I’m every bit as surprised by each
book as my readers are.
What do readers have to look
forward to in the future from you?
Savage Raptors MC #2 is up for preorder
and #3 is now with my editor. I also plan to write more in Hades Abyss,
Reckless Kings, and Dixie Reapers sometime this year. There are also a few
small surprises along the way, if I ever get the time to finish them.
Meredith
-- I screwed up. Big time. My dad and his club asked me to leave. I know it
wasn’t supposed to be forever, but how can I return until I feel I’ve made
something of myself? I thought I was on the right path, going from hot mess to
mature adult. Then I did something stupid. Now I don’t know what to do. Lynx
has been amazing, and as much as I want to throw myself into his arms, I refuse
to make the same mistakes over and over. This time, I need to figure it out on
my own.
Lynx --
When I heard she was coming to our club, I thought she’d be a spoiled brat.
Instead, I not only see the chip on her shoulder, but the wounded look in her
eyes. Somehow, I ended up being the one man she runs from. The more I get to
know her, the more I want from her. Meredith is very different from what I’d
imagined. When she’s in trouble and needs help, I’m only too happy to step in.
Only one way I know to fix everything -- make her mine!

The girl
was a hot mess, and yet I couldn’t look away. She’d been here for several weeks
already and didn’t seem like she planned to move on anytime soon. My club
treated her like a princess, for the most part. I wasn’t sure they were
handling the situation the right way, though. What she needed was a firm hand
and some instruction. Instead, she was running wild and heading down a path of
destruction. No one here realized what she did at night. No one except me.
Why? Because
I’d followed her ass more than once. The second I’d realized she was going to
hook up with strangers, putting herself at risk, I’d stepped in. She didn’t
realize it, and I didn’t plan to tell her. Every time her targets got up to
take a piss, or she wandered off for a moment, I’d slip in and say a few words.
Just enough to send the fuckers running.
I didn’t
know the entire story behind her visit to our club. Something about causing
trouble for one of the Devil’s Fury brothers and his woman. Whatever was going
on with Meredith seemed to be more involved. Not that anyone asked my opinion.
The girl wasn’t crying for help -- she was screaming it. I didn’t understand
why no one could see what was right in front of them.
Even
now, she sat at a table outside the clubhouse, sipping on a soda and scrolling
through some app on her phone. To others, she’d look bored. I saw the tension
in her hands, and the jittery way she bounced her leg. I’d be willing to bet
money she was looking for a random hookup. Those were things I saw even while
checking out her car.
The
front tire on her car kept getting lower, no matter how many times she’d filled
it with air. Which was why I was now checking it for a nail, or anything else
that might cause a leak. At least, anything visible. Something told me she’d
have to take it in to a shop, and I knew I couldn’t fucking trust her around a
bunch of mechanics. She’d be screwing one in the bathroom on his break if
someone didn’t keep an eye on her.
The
Meredith the Devil’s Fury spoke of previously didn’t seem anything like this
girl, and yeah, I considered her a girl most days. I knew chronologically she
was a full-grown woman, but the way she kept acting out made me want to turn
her over my knee and spank her ass like a wayward child. All those curves
certainly didn’t belong to one, though. Nope. And no matter how hard I’d tried
not to notice the shape of her ass, or her large tits, I’d failed miserably.
Some nights, they were all I could think about.
She’s
too fucking young for you.
It
wasn’t the first time I’d reminded myself of that fact. She’d tried to pass
herself off as older, until the Pres asked to see her license. He’d immediately
told every last member, officer, and Prospect not to give her a drop of alcohol
because she was underage. The Devil’s Fury wouldn’t have sent her out on her
own like this if she wasn’t considered a legal adult. Which told me she was
somewhere between eighteen and twenty. Since I was in my thirties, it felt like
too big of a gap most days. Of course, I knew plenty of guys who’d fallen for
younger women. Hell, the entire Devil’s Fury had so far, out of those who’d
claimed someone.
“Merry,
you’re going to have to run this to the shop. I think maybe your valve stem has
a leak, or it’s something I can’t easily see.” I wiped my hands off with a rag,
but the black smears remained on my skin.
She
looked up, her brow furrowing. “What did you call me?”
“Merry.
Got a problem with it?”
Her
cheeks flushed and she slowly shook her head. She stared at me for a moment before
standing and shoving her phone into her back pocket. When she got closer, I
could smell the citrus scent of her shampoo, and I damn near reached for her.
Instead, I took a step back and watched her get into her car. The way she
peeled away from the clubhouse and shot through the gates told me she was on
her way to cause trouble.
“You
going after her?” Spade asked.
I
glanced at the VP. The fact he asked me that meant he’d been watching, and knew
I’d been keeping an eye on Meredith. Did he know why, though?
“Maybe.”
He shook
his head, a slight smile on his lips. “That one is going to give you a run for
your money. She’s not as docile as people think.”
I
snorted. “Who the fuck thinks of her as docile?”
“Most of
the club. They only see the good parts of her.” He shoved his hands into his
pockets. “You’re not the only one who followed her a few times. I know what
you’ve been up to, even if she hasn’t realized it. Just make sure she doesn’t
take a bite out of you when she figures it out.”
I waved
off his concern. “What she needs is a good spanking. No one is doing her any
favors by coddling her. You’d think everyone would have figured it out by now.
The way she acted with Doolittle should have been a big-ass warning. Instead,
they asked her to leave for a while. Not one damn person tried to understand
her.”
“And you
do?” he asked.
About Harley Wylde:
Harley
Wylde is an International Bestselling Author of MC Romances.
When
Harley's writing, her motto is the hotter the better -- off-the-charts sex,
commanding men, and the women who can't deny them. If you want men who talk
dirty, are sexy as hell, and take what they want, then you've come to the right
place. She doesn't shy away from the dangers and nastiness in the world,
bringing those realities to the pages of her books, but always gives her
characters a happily-ever-after and makes sure the bad guys get what they
deserve.
The
times Harley isn't writing, she's thinking up naughty things to do to her
husband, drinking copious amounts of Starbucks, and reading. She loves to read
and devours a book a day, sometimes more. She's also fond of TV shows and
movies from the 1980s, as well as paranormal shows from the 1990s to today,
even though she'd much rather be reading or writing.
