If you could have one paranormal ability, what would it be?
Healing although that would be more mystical than paranormal? I might go for telekinesis which could make both
reaching that top-shelf item and rearranging the furniture easier.
What is one thing your readers would be most surprised to
learn about you?
My favorite movie is The Last Unicorn (animation), and my favorite
part of The Last Unicorn novel was the line about the spider weeping.
When writing descriptions of your hero/ine, what feature do
you start with?
My brain usually starts with their hair, which I seem to have
preferred blond, although I've been changing that out to brown more recently. When I'm writing, though, I prefer a vaguer description
of the main character so the reader can easily envision themself in the role.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
I do not seem able to write to an outline. The stories grow from events and actions and
the plot reveals itself and is then fine-tuned and developed in the draft-finalization
and editing stage.
Did you learn anything
from writing this book? If so, what?
Researching the medical school and surgeon profession was incredible
and gave me an appreciation of the non-patient side of the business. Amazingly, it reduced my stress-level for my
own real-life appointments.

Are you hurt?" The man began
to wiggle through the bars, which was no small feat because he was wearing some
sort of heavy armor.
He reached down toward me, and I hesitated, terrified of grabbing
that hand and leaving my life behind. He
clenched his teeth in frustration and urged me, "Come on, miss! Just take my hand."
Gunfire from below decided for me. I lifted my good arm, and he latched onto
me. As he jerked me upwards, pain shot through
my shoulder and abdomen. I gave up life
and slipped into darkness.
