Book Review: Hunter's Moon by Yasmine Galenorn

The Wild Hunt is on the case as they find themselves walking a delicate line as they search for kidnapped kids from the Foam Born Encampment as well as go after Straff, an ante-fae they thought they put away and escaped Hearne's father's dungeon.

My Rating for Hunter's Moon: 5 Stars and a Series Recommended Read

My Book Review:

As the war with Typhon heats up, the Wild Hunt agency gets news that Straff, son of Blackthorn, has escaped from captivity and is back at the Foam Born Encampment causing issues as well as a separate case from the Foam Born people on  missing kids. As Ember, Hearne and the gang try to deal with the collateral damage of Typhon’s war against the world, they need to deal with the Ante-Fae Blackthorn as they search for his son. But Ember makes a misstep and draws Blackthorn to her as she finds herself in danger that just may cause her death. It’s up to Hearne and the Wild Hunt agency as they try to walk that delicate balance of searching for a kidnapper and finding Straff as Ember tries to stay one step away from Blackthorn.

Wowsers is all I can say as Yasmone Galenorn heats things up with her latest installment in the wildly popular Wild Hunt Series in HUNTER’S MOON. She delivers one wild ride from start to finish. Add in two complex cases to solve, danger around every bend and a looming war with one of the titans, Typhon (Father of Dragons) and all hell is about to break loose. What I love about Ms. Galenorn’s books is how she keeps the characters growing even as her stories weave a spell around you within each book. I just couldn’t put this book down and I finished in less than a day. I hot the final page and just sat there going, ‘wow, what a ride and I need more’. HUNTER’S MOON continues the fight with Typhon and the author does a masterful job in creating a world where you want to visit and enjoy meeting the varied characters there. What I really enjoy about this series as well as this author’s books is how well she creates the worldbuilding of the series and her characters that populate them. The characters are beautifully written, multi-diverse and intriguing to say the least. I love the dynamics of all the main characters together and apart. Its an amazing delicate balance that this author does immensely well.

HUNTER’S MOON is part of the Wild Hunt series and it’s a series I highly recommend if you love paranormal/urban fantasy filled with unique characters, a fast-paced storyline and a long story arc that continues in preceding books. I can’t wait to see where the author goes next in the series and what is in store for the Wild Hunt gang and their allies/friends. If you have not read this author before, she is running a great sale on this series first three books so check it out and maybe you might find a new author to enjoy this new year.

This is an objective review and not an endorsement.
