Character Spotlight with Author Cynthia Sax

Please give a warm welcome to Qulpa from Warlord Sky by Cynthia Sax today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?

Qulpa: The ship I was flying crashed. Three fingers on one of my hands were severed. (stares into the distance) The only thing I had left in this death-filled life was flying and now it looks like that has been taken from me.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?

Qulpa:  My fated mate fell into my arms. Literally. She insists she isn’t my gerel, isn’t the one being genetically meant for me, but I wager she’s lying. I don’t know why.

Nayan is also the Head of Ship and Weapons Design and has the ability to craft fingers that might, just might be better than my organic ones and might, just might allow me to fly again.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?

Qulpa:  I’ve seduced Nayan in her laboratory while all of her bots and drones watched us. She is constantly surrounded by her manufactured family. We have no privacy…and I don’t mind that. (flashes Dawn a wicked grin)

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?
Qulpa: Commando. Chameles don’t believe in excessive garments.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick they can do to seduce you?

Qulpa:  When Nayan touches me with her rough fingers and soft, soft palms, all of my thoughts dissipate. All I can think about is her. I also love the way she makes me work for everything. Not every warrior could handle a strong female like her. (straightens) But I can.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?

Qulpa: Nayan allows no one except me to touch her back. When we are in public, I place one of my palms on the small of her back. That communicates to everyone that she’s mine, is under my protection. When we are alone, I kiss and lick and adore that part of her.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing things your author did to you in Warlord Sky?

Qulpa: A certain part of my body is…ummm…curved. (faces turns red) One of my gerel’s bots held out a straightening tool, seeking to fix that curve.

Q: Anything else you would like to add?

Qulpa:  Nayan IS my gerel and I AM her warrior. She might deny it but I know that’s the truth. I WILL convince her to claim me as hers and I WILL uncover her secrets…even if it kills me.
