To get us started can you tell us a little about what you are
working on or have coming out?
J.T.: First,
we want to say thank you, Dawn, for
being a host on the blog tour. We appreciate your support and we are super
excited to be here!
We are both currently working on Book Two in the
Crimson Nights Saga. It’s the continuation of Crimson Reign which ended with a
big cliffhanger. Readers will find out
more about Vischeral and Copi and get some much anticipated answers about Laz
and Lachi. They’ll also get to meet more key players in the saga. Everything is
heating up and getting tense! We are also working on a new story Broken Oaths.
I have a couple of solos going but nothing near completion yet.
V.L.: I’m a little behind at the moment with a lot
of my work, but for me The Crimson Nights Saga takes precedent over my solo
work. I have a habit of getting totally carried away with the characters within
the story and drive J.T. crazy with new twists and additions. LOL
Broken Oaths is something a little more risqué
than the usual for both of us. But, for some reason, the idea of writing Thierry
and Ryan’s story won’t leave me alone. It tells the tale of Ryan, a child
brought up in the foster system who turns to the church and Master Chief Petty Officer Thierry, an
innocent military prisoner who’s serving time for a crime he didn’t commit.
If we asked your muse to describe you using five words, what do you
think they would say?
J.T.: Well
my muse is sitting right here with me. Hmm, let’s see. She repeatedly calls me…naughty, wicked,
intelligent, possessive and scary. Not too sure about that last one, lol.
V.L.: My muse…and only five words…Gawds the list is endless. I know she thinks I’m soft, emotional, pessimistic, critical and without a doubt lovable! Even though we never agree on anything!
J.T.: Sure
we do angel. *grinning* Male on male action is Hawtness!
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
J.T.: Scotland.
I went through a period of reading where it had to be set in Scotland,
historical Scotland with the lairds and clans in the Highlands. The accent, the
kilts..*shivers*...yup, definitely Scotland.
V.L.: If
I could live anywhere it would have to be Canada. I love the cold and the
thought of long dark nights in front of an open fire. I’m just a soppy old
romantic at heart!
Coffee, tea or other drink to get you moving in the morning?
J.T.: No
gagging V.L. My drink of choice to start any day is Dr. Pepper.
V.L.: Seriously!!!
Dr Pepper is just gross! Give me coffee any day! Only now it has to be decaf.
Is it hard coming up with titles or characters names?
J.T.: Character names can be tricky. You want something strong and
unique, and sometimes that’s not easy. I tend to pull from friends and family.
But, if the person is from a certain area or species, if it’s paranormal, I try
to do a bit of research into names. V.L. is usually the best at picking names.
Titles for stories, yea Gawds, we have the hardest time with those. With a solo
WIP, I stick with a main character name until the end. Grand Slam was always
“Spencer.” I didn’t choose a title until the week before it went on sale. When
we write together, I defer to V.L. most of the time. She’s great at titles.
V.L: In my other life as a full time employee, I’m lucky to work
in an environment that sees me having to constantly input data. Names are a
part of my everyday life and there is always a vast variety of unusual ones for
me to pick out as characters in our books.
If you were to replenish your cabinets with one junk food,
what would it be?
J.T.: Custard filled, chocolate glazed doughnuts from Krispy
Kreme. And I’m laughing ‘cause I know
what V.L. is going to say….*drum roll*
V.L.: OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do you have any clue what’s in those
things…Boy does this woman need a spank!! Ya gunna make Laz GRRRRRR……I’ll have
to plead the fifth on this one as I am trying to be good…With the exception of
Chilli Heatwave Doritos!
J.T.: She LOVES her Doritos!
Is music a factor for you while you are
writing? Do certain songs put you in the right frame of mind to write certain
stories?
J.T.: Oh yes! I have eclectic taste in music. I
love it all. V.L. and I have specific songs that relate to particular
characters. With their “song” playing, it helps to get them talking to us. Khad
and Shaver ..definitely “Little Things” by One Direction. “Wonderwall” by Oasis
and “Undisclosed Desires” by Muse send me into Vischeral’s mindframe. “Warrior”
by Disturbed and “I Won’t Give Up” by Jason Mraz span the spiraling mindset
that is Lachi Denali. And I love anything by Adam Lambert.
V.L.: Music is a must for me when writing.
Anything from classical to hard rock…As long as its loud.
Has there been any character that started off as supporting
character, but then developed into a more prominent character?
J.T.: Yes! Khad and Shaver in the Crimson Nights Saga.
Roman and Tobias in the same series. Anna Kate, the precocious niece in Grand
Slam. She had fans who loved her and then critics who hated her. I thought she
was fantastic, of course.
V.L.: Sage and Alexa started off being somewhat of
an anomaly for me, but now I can’t wait to see how their part in The Crimson
Nights Saga evolves.
If a movie or TV production company chose to produce your books into
a series of shows or movies, who would your ideal cast be?
J.T.: OHHH!
We have a full set for Crimson Reign. Let’s see I’ll do a couple of mine and
V.L. can do hers. David Gandy! *fans self*
as Malachi Denali, vampire king. Those brooding looks he gives are drool
worthy. Gabriel Garko playing Vischeral Bourne, Chris Pines as Shaver Drakos
and Shemar Moore as Bastian.
V.L.: Ha
ha ha ha ha OH HELL YES PLEASE! Marcus Schenkenberg
will always be my Laz along with Justin Clynes as Copi, Justin Zabinski for
Khad and Jason Momoa for the fallen angel Arial…There are so many more but
those are just a few.
Love Life and Circumstances by V.L. Moon & J.T. Cheyanne
Born the son of a preacher man, Elijah Deacon always
conformed to his father’s strict religious teachings. He worked hard, devoting
his time and energy to the family owned construction firm, leaving little time
to focus on the deplorable state of his private life. Small town America was no
place to be when all a man craved was the touch of another man. Elijah hid his
sexuality and tried in vain to convince himself he could be happy with a woman.
Urged on by the dream of having the family he craved, Elijah couldn’t know a
drunken one night stand would see him pay the ultimate price.
Leaving the bright lights of Atlanta and placing his own life on hold, paralegal, Seth Jacobs, moved to Alabama hopeful that with a baby on the way, his twin sister Bethany would settle down. His older sister by five minutes, she gave him the confidence he needed while growing to come out and be proud of who he was. It was his turn to return the support. On arrival in Headland, Seth endeavored to make her see the dangers her behavior presented to her and her unborn child. But, to no avail.
When destiny deals a cruel blow, and the life of a newborn baby hangs by a thread, Seth and Elijah are flung together to deal with the tragic circumstances. The grief threatens to consume them, while joy and fear work to unite them. Jealousy, love, lies and bitter truths rise to the surface and threaten to tear them apart. Can the powers of love and life bring them together and heal the loneliness that death leaves behind? Or will circumstance prevail and fuel the embers of love that draw them together?

Excerpt –
Sprawled in the dainty rocking chair,
Elijah Deacon overwhelmed the room. Booted feet crossed at the ankle. Blue jean
clad legs stretched for miles and hugged lean hips. The light blue cotton tee
shirt molded to Elijah's thick chest and broad shoulders. Perched like a tiny
angel, Hope lay curled in a miniature ball on that massive chest. One large
hand cradled her diapered bottom.
They both slept, if the matching snores
were any indication. Seth eased closer, drawn to them. He desperately wanted to
crawl into Elijah's lap and have the man's other arm wrapped around him.
As if drawn by his thoughts, his gaze flicked to where Elijah's hand lay
in his lap clutching something white. Another step and he swallowed hard.
Elijah held the picture of the three of them, his thumb resting just below the
likeness of Seth.
Elijah shifted and Seth's gaze snapped
upward. The hand on Hope's bottom tightened as if reassuring himself she still
lay there. Behind closed lids, Elijah's eyes moved. Those lush lips
parted.
"Seth." His name tumbled from
Elijah's mouth, freezing him where he stood. When several seconds passed, and
the large man settled back into sleep, Seth dared moved closer. The urge to
touch overcame him. He reached out a trembling finger and traced it down the
curve of Hope's back. She snuffled and burrowed closer into her father's chest.
Seth smiled. She was so precious.
His hand and eyes lifted. Elijah's beautiful,
darkly tanned face was relaxed as he slept. Seth's fingers itched to caress the
high cheekbones. Moving of its own accord, his hand rose higher still. Very
lightly, fingertips met warm flesh. Seth's heart raced. If Elijah woke up, he'd
be in trouble. He should back away, go back out and knock, let Elijah know he
was here. But, Seth couldn't move, except for the hand that continued to stroke
Elijah's flushed skin.
"Are you really here, or am I
dreaming?" The deep baritone stalled Seth's timid exploration of Eli's
face.
"You're dreaming." He
answered just as low. Elijah's lids blinked open. Piercing blue eyes locked
onto Seth.
"Where's your boyfriend?" The
quiet question was loaded with accusation, but it was the uncertainty in
Elijah's eyes that got the answer.
"Sitting in a rocking chair,
holding my niece." Wariness and doubt flooded Elijah's gaze. Seth
brought his fingers down to stop the words forming on Elijah's lips. "We
need to talk, but not here. Can I hold her?" At the other man's nod,
Seth scooped his niece into his hands trying very hard to ignore the hard slabs
of muscle she lay upon. With her cradled to his chest, Seth crooned to her
while moving to lean against the wall. A long arm shot out to grasp his hip. He
didn't resist as he was guided back to Elijah's lap.
"If you sit here, we can both see
her," Eli said gruffly. Seth wasn't about to complain, and settled
into Elijah's lap. The rocking chair protested the added weight with a pained groan.
They sat stiffly for several minutes, neither speaking, eyes locked on
the pink bundle.
About he Authors
JT
After a lifetime of reading and at the
suggestion of friends, J.T. finally put fingers to keys and started writing her
own stories. It’s been a wildly amazing ride full of tears, exhilaration and
plain old hard work. Thankfully, her three beautiful children support her
craziness and encourage her to continue something she loves. While she does
write solo stories, she thrives on the work she does with V.L. Moon, her
writing partner and fiance. What a small world it is indeed Mr. Disney when a
small town girl from Alabama can find and write with a big city girl from
England. What a ride it has been and continues to be!

Thank you so much for hosting us today!
This sounds like a terrific book. Children, even when they're so tiny, always bring so much life with them, in fiction or real life!
