Welcome to my
Nook, Wes Dodd. Please make yourself at home and let my cabana boys/girls get
you a drink. Reading
Comfortable? Wonderful. Now let’s get started.
To get us started can you tell us a little about what you are working on or have coming out?
WD: Thank you for having me. I am a new writer with 3 published novels within the last year. I have 2 sequels I’ve started. One is a sequel with the probability of a trilogy for The Secret Guardian, fantasy novel. I am also in the planning stages of a sequel to Saving Faith. When I ended the novel I could clearly see a potential sequel. After the comments I’ve received, it definitely will be one but might not be my next. I’m a few chapters into another novel that will be called Sarah’s Song. This one may be my most challenging one to write, hopefully ready by next spring.
How would you describe yourself using only five words?
WD: A free spirit with imagination.
If you could write a warning label for yourself as a person or an author, what would it say?
WD: WARNING! Wes Dodd novels will take you hostage, not able to put it down until completed. May be hazardous to your lifestyle.
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
WD: None that I can think of; I do get Captain Morgan to help me write.
Name one thing readers would be surprised to know about you.
WD: I don’t like to read. I’m more of a movie person. The important thing whether written or on screen is to have a great story, no matter what genre.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be?
WD: I would like to visit different places in the world, but I’m sure I would want to stay in the good ole
How do you get yourself in the mood to write? WD: I’m constantly writing. I hold down a full time job, but I keep notes in my pocket about the story I’m working on. It’s constantly on my mind. Then when I get time, I put them in the computer.
Who are some of your favorite authors?
WD: Nickolas Sparks, Patricia Cornwell and James Patterson
Do you have a favorite TV show you can't miss? WD: Nope, I don’t own a TV. I split up with my fiancé over 3 years ago and went without a TV for a while. Then I discovered a passion for writing. So now I don’t want a TV.
If you could date any character from any book, who would it be and why-no it doesn't have to be from your books?
WD: Sheradon from The Crimson Key; she is hot. I should know. I created her.
Anything else you want to add?

Teaser Excerpt from Chapter One:
Alice Paige rose up in her bed, awakened by a pounding on her door. She peered at the clock— She carefully placed her book on the nightstand, the book she was reading when she drifted off. “Who is at my door at one in the morning?” she thought to herself as she slipped on her heavy brown robe. Reaching the front door, she pulled the curtain back carefully, just enough to peek outside. Though the front was dimly lit and the rain poured down, she instantly recognized the figure that stood on her front stoop. The long blonde hair and familiar curvatures of her slender face could be but one person.
slowly opened the door and invited her twin sister, Amber, inside. Alice
Alice and Amber were identical twins at birth, though now complete opposites in many ways.
had light ash brown hair that she kept very short. She never wore makeup and
was considered plain-looking and ordinary in her ways. Amber, on the other
hand, was gifted with rare beauty and a voluptuous figure. She did very well in
beauty pageants and at age eighteen went off to Alice in pursuit of a modeling career. New York City
remained hidden in her shadow. Alice
Amber entered slowly, carrying an odd-looking basket covered entirely with a blue blanket, wet from the rain. She tugged a large suitcase on wheels that seemed to be very heavy. She sat the basket down gingerly, as if what lay hidden within might be fragile. Amber then fell into her sister’s arms, releasing a flood of emotions. She hugged
tightly, clinging firmly to her as if hanging on for dear life Alice
