Welcome Sarah Cass today

Please give a warm welcome to Cole Mitchell from Changing Tracks by Sarah Cass today as we sit down and see what makes him/her tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the cross-hairs for your author?

*A sly grin crosses his handsome features. The corner of his eyes crinkle as his smile grows. The icy blue eyes penetrate you*

I ain’t sure – but they just say…I’ve got a way with the ladies. I’ve weakened the resolve of stronger women than that one.

*Sarah huffs when he jerks his thumb her direction. A flustered blush is all she can manage – wishing she had the skill with words her Heroine, Jane, does.*

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate?

*Cole leans back in the chair, his long, muscled legs stretching out in front of him. For a brief moment the mask of seduction drops as he thinks of Jane.*

She ain’t weak, or broken. All the women in my stable are broken, I pity them. Jane never let me pity her.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)?

*Cole laughs out loud* Jane likes to play. Anywhere. Think my favorite is the time we were in the back of Turner’s store. She timed us using the grandfather clock. 278 seconds and we were both very happy.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man?
Don’t know about other men, but I don’t put nothin’ but trousers between me and Jane. She, on the other hand, makes life more difficult. Damn corsets and buttoned up bodices.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?

*Cole leans forward and beckons you closer with his finger*

You gotta promise to keep this part secret. Jane finds out, I’ll never hear the end of it.

*With your nod of assessment, he grins*

Much as I complain about her damn words…when she gets all angry and starts runnin’ her mouth at me, all I wanna do is shut her up – in the best way I know how. She’s got a good wit about her, and I like it more than she’ll ever know.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed?

That little dip at the small of her back. Woman purrs like a kitten every time.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing thing your author did to you in Changing Tracks?

*Cole purses his lips and his brow furrows*

Not much I can think of. I don’t embarrass easy – but the only embarrassing thing I can think of don’t happen until much later in the story.

*Sarah steps in* I think I know what he’s talking about – it’s book 3

Q: Anything else you would like to add?

Nope. You shoulda invited Jane. She’s better with words than I am.

*Sarah giggles* Bet your ass she is

Shudup.

A teaser from Changing Tracks by Sarah Cass

Cole Mitchell runs the busiest saloon and brothel in Dominion Falls. He keeps his women at a distance, unwilling to relive a past he worked hard to forget.

Until the night Jane Doe falls into his saloon bleeding and near death.  She wakes with no memory, only the firm belief someone tried to kill her. In the strange world of amnesia she manages to find solace in Cole’s arms and he finds home in hers.

While they work together to solve the mystery of her appearance, their pasts – her lack of, and his buried – build a barrier between them.

To make matters worse, Jane’s past isn’t willing to let her go. A stranger proves he’ll kill to keep his secrets safe. With those she loves in danger, Jane’s errant memory is all that stands between them and death.  Cole can only do so much to protect her, will it be enough?

TEASER:
She slammed the door to her room, only to come face to face with Cole. The shriek escaped before she could stop it.
"Jane."
"Blast, Cole. You scared the daylights out of me."
"Sorry. Took the shortcut."
"Please, just go. I can't think straight. I can't." She couldn’t. The way her head kept spinning, conversation wouldn’t be possible.
He didn't argue, but he didn't leave either. Once again she found his arms tight around her. In one swift move, he provided a sanctuary against the turmoil. For several minutes he helped her find peace.
Selfishly she soaked in it. Relieved to have just a few minutes to ignore her past that had just shown up on her doorstep. Forget a man who claimed to be her husband. That she was no longer a nameless person.
"I hate saying it."
"Then don't." Jane Doe wasn't real. This Clara was. Jane didn't want to give up everything she'd gained. But she couldn't turn her back on her past. With a sigh, she rested her head against his chest. "Sorry. I'm overwhelmed."
"I get that. He seems like he means it, though. Did you hear him?"
"I couldn't hear anything. It’s just too much. I don't know how to do this."
"He said he ain't seen you in seven years. That you left one day and he never saw you again. It was winter. He thought you'd died out there." Cole's finger hooked under her chin. "It scares you. Knowing something."
"Just as much as knowing nothing. I just started to feel like a real person."
"Feel damn real to me."

 About the Author.....

Sarah Cass’s world is regularly turned upside down by her three special-needs kids and loving mate, so she breaks genre barriers, dabbling in horror, straight fiction, and urban fantasy. An ADD tendency leaves her with a variety of interests that include singing, dancing, crafting, cooking, and being a photographer. She fights through the struggles of the day, knowing the battles are her crucible and though she may emerge scarred, she’s also stronger. Changing Tracks is her debut novel, but she’s already ahead of the game with another novel set for release in April. While busy creating worlds and characters as real to her as her own family, she leads an active online life with her blog, Redefining Perfect, which gives a real and sometimes raw glimpses into her life and art.
