Contemporary Romantic Comedy, Enemies to Lovers Romance
Available at Amazon

My Rating for Love on the Shelf: 4 Stars and a recommended read.

Alice runs the local HEA Bookstore and it's devotion to love stories and those who love them. Parker Black is a bitter Shock Jock who hates anythingt o do with love and romance, especially the romance genre as he blames that for his breakup with a romance author. These two people collide and as they trade barbs and trouble is stirred up by Parker's tirades on the radio about happy ever after and romance books, Alice wonders as sparks fly each time these two meet and spar over romance and love, if her favorite trope, enemies to lovers, is playing out in real time. With her livelihood in jeopardy and protests being spurred on by Parker, can these two find a common ground and see if romance is one thing they might have in common after all?

I love Sheila Roberts books and her latest release, LOVE ON THE SHELF, is full of fun characters, a setting that will charm you and a storyline that just makes you want more. Ms. Roberts delivers a fun ride when a romance bookstore owner and a radio shock jock collide when Parker Black goes off on romance books, love and the whole romance genre, that's starting to affect Alice's business as well as cause protests as well. It's enough to make a girl want to cry or haul off and punch the perpetrator causing all this.

The author has a knack of creating some amazing characters that keep the reader entertained as well as a storyline that flows smoothly though I do admit there are a few instances where I cringed and wondered what the heck I am reading but overall it didn't cause me issues over reading LOVE ON THE SHELF. There's multiple characters with their own sub-plot going on amid Alice and Parker's that had me entertained and was quite enjoyable.

LOVE ON THE SHELF delivers sparks, intrigue and more within its pages and kept me truly entertained from start to finish. As always, I enjoyed this latest Rom-Com immensely and loved how the author managed to keep the story flowing, plot tight and creates some amazingly complex characters that kept me glued tot he pages. If you want a laugh out loud romantic comedy, I highly recommend you try LOVE ON THE SHELF by Sheila Roberts. It's a perfect beach read that will charm you.

I received the print book from Sheila Roberts for an objective review.
