Blurb/Synopsis:
When Tank Rogers returned home after his military service, he took over the family ranch the way he knew he was meant to. Now he’s the only one left, but he likes the solitude. Even so, he has no excuse to object to putting up Alan’s friend for a few weeks in exchange for some help around the ranch—it wouldn’t be neighborly.
The feelings he has for his blue-blooded houseguest aren’t exactly neighborly either.
Once Tank realizes there’s more to Collin than upper-crust manners, suddenly his solitary life holds a lot less appeal. But in the long term, Tank doesn’t fit into Collin’s fancy society life any more than Collin fits into Tank’s down-home and dusty ranch… does he?
Tell us about your latest book, who are the main character’s and what
can we expect when we pick it up? The
Viscount’s Rancher is a combination of an American Western and a Regency… in a
way. The story has themes that show up a
lot in both kinds of books. Tank is a
rancher and Collin is a Viscount and heir to his father’s lands and title. The cowboy nobility stories are unique and I
loved writing them.
If you could watch one scene from this book be played out like a movie,
which one would it be and why? I think it
would have to be the showdown between Collin and his father when he finally
steps from his shadow and decides to chart his own course into the future.
Tell us about what you are reading at the moment or anticipate reading
in the future? Any favorite authors you enjoy reading in your spare time? I am
reading Steven Rowley’s The Guncle Abroad.
It’s funny and I’m enjoying it a lot.
Though its not quite as good as the first book, The Guncle.
What do you do when you have free time? I read in order to relax and I garden. I am the president of my local garden
club.
How do you approach character development in your stories? Do you have
any specific techniques or methods that you find particularly effective? Not at this time. Most of my books start with the characters
and they tend to spring up from inside.
Right now I have another cowboy story in me. I’m just waiting for him to start
talking.
What do you believe sets your writing apart from others in your genre,
and why should readers choose to read your books? I believe that characters and conflict should
be organic. My stories also tend to be
more on the sweet and gentle side. There
is enough darkness and disappointment in the world.
Can you discuss any upcoming projects or books that you're currently
working on? What can readers expect from your future works? I am working on a story right now called
Hello, Goodbye, Amore. It’s a second
chance romance filled with family drama, set in Florence Italy.
