Author: Nancy Lee Badger
Title: With Every Kiss: an Opportunity Falls novel
Character: Abigail Huntington, my main character
This contemporary romance was released November 3rd.
What’s your favorite thing to do when not saving your
clients?
Unlike my author-friend, I jog. I’ve tried telling
Nancy that she needs to exercise more! The city streets of Manhattan can prove
to be a challenge, and I cannot wait until I head north, to New England.
Jogging there should be breath-taking.
What is it about your love interest Mitch Campbell
that makes you crazy in a good way?
He was a dream, at first. A dream because I met him
briefly in New York. We never even exchanged names! When we met again, he’d
just fallen off a ladder that my SUV had struck. Not the best way to start a
romance, especially when I never expected to see him at a New England
campground, painting a sign!
Do you sometimes want to strangle your writer? Thrash
her to within an inch of her life? Make them do the stupid crap they make you
do?
Listen, my writer has a phobia. Claustrophobia, to be
exact. So, what does she make me do? Drive through the Lincoln Tunnel, then
through a covered bridge! At least I got used to the small travel-trailer I’d
bought, until the storm hit. Did I mention lightning, rain, heavy winds? Not
liking this author.
Favorite food?
Ice cream, which is why my author wrote in a Saturday
night ice cream social at the campground.
Sprinkles and whipped cream, anyone?
Tell me a little bit about your world. What are your
greatest challenges in that world?
As an artist, I sell paintings. Most are landscapes.
Not New York skylines, but country settings. I need ideas. That might be why my
author-chick, who left New York and earned a degree in art at a New Hampshire
college surrounded by mountains, lakes, and rivers, made me travel there.
Describe yourself in four words.
successful lonely Manhattan artist
What do you do for a living?
As I mentioned earlier, I paint. I do quite well, too,
as my agent Bernie would say, but I am burned out.
What do you fear the most?
Never getting back the ‘vision’ that brings my
paintings to life. I use pastel colors and mist to create scenes. The best paintings
include waterfalls. Mitch plans to take me to see one he calls Opportunity
Falls.

Abigail
Huntington, a successful Manhattan artist, is burned out, and is more
comfortable wearing jogging attire, than dresses and heels. Bored by the
city, and the jerks she’s dated, she
needs to get away to paint beautiful and pricey landscapes, which is why she
starts asking about New England campgrounds during her one-woman art show.
Mitchel Campbell, a corporate
lawyer working for his father, wants to bed the pretty jogger he has watched
for weeks. Recalling happier times in New England at his aunt and uncle’s
campground near Opportunity Falls, he grumbles when is ordered to attend an art
show. He overhears a woman asking about campgrounds, and realizes she is
the jogger. When he disappears minutes later, Abigail is left fuming. Meeting
him again in a campground in New Hampshire is a coincidence…or is it?
Excerpt
from With Every Kiss: an Opportunity
Falls novel
“This trip depicts us when we ended up on the icy shore of the Pacific
Northwest.”
“Brrr.”
“You can say that again,” she said, then chuckled. She turned away from
his smile, rubbed one free hand up her goose bump-covered arm, then walked
away. She remembered the love that had accompanied family outings no matter
where they traveled.
His scent surrounded her, and her body hummed with sensation, shocking
her. It wasn’t the painting that made her shiver. When had any man in New York
City sent her blood rushing through her veins? When had she felt so lightheaded
and giddy as a schoolgirl with a crush?
They brushed shoulders. An awareness of the heat that emanated from his
body hit her. To keep from sidling closer, she halted near the next painting.
He moved a few steps farther, then turned to look at the canvas.
Her sweaty palm slid down her thigh. With a gulp of her wine, she
covertly glanced sideways at his profile as he studied the piece. His brows
twitched.
Her gaze moved to the painting. What had caught his attention? He stepped
closer, examining the huge landscape. The piece featured one of her signature waterfalls.
Rushing water cascaded over a rocky cliff and disappeared into a lake bounded
by massive fir trees. The base of the falls lay shrouded in fog while the setting
sun washed the sky in a delicious mixture of blue, purple, and pink.
“Exquisite. Even the framing adds to the elegant composition by giving
it balance.” He backed up several steps.
“My framer chose dark wormwood to give my painting a rustic appeal.”
“How can you part with something this splendid?”
Her cheeks heated under his compliment. “It’s etched in my mind, so I
don’t feel it’s truly lost. Besides, I never know what’s coming next. Ideas
flow down my arm to the canvas. I promise it’ll warm-up any modern office
building.”
She moved toward the next painting.
“Wait,” he said, stepping closer, stopping her in her tracks. “I want
this piece.”
“You do?”
“Why do you sound surprised. It is remarkable, just like its creator.”
As Abby’s mouth opened to respond to his praise, he lowered his head.
Warm lips pressed against hers, and large hands settled on her hips. When he
pulled her tight against his chest, shock rippled through her.

Just saw this - You'll really enjoy this one, Nancy writes a great romance!
What a clever way to do a review of With Every Kiss. Loved the questions and your answers. Will we be hearing more about the residents and visitors of that wonderful camp in the New Hampshire mountains?
