Over the next several weeks, we will be sharing excerpts of the angelic characters from a work in progress, THE DARKNESS WITHIN, Book Three by Angelica Hart and Zi.
ANGEL WINGS OF HOPE
Aether -
Cassiel's story
Cassiel:
Angel of temperance
Angels are
just ordinary people that help us believe in miracles again. ~ Anonymous
Cassiel was no bigger than a dragonfly, small but perfectly
proportioned and curvy with a full buttock and fuller breasts. The latter
making her a twinge top heavy, which oft led to a bopping up and down flying
pattern. By all outwardly appearances angels were anatomically flawed in that
flight should have been defying physics. But in the Aether, Angels and Cherubs and fairies soared bird-like. Her hair
had a cotton candy appearance, giving her the traditional halo appeal, why, it
was groomed to such an angelic accord.
An Angel of Serenity and Temperance, her manifestation both
in and out of flight seemed very much in opposition to her avocation and
disposition. Yes, she was outwardly a flibbertigibbet, but inwardly a deep,
contemplative energy. It did not bother Cassiel that she was such a dichotomy.
Her mind lent itself to being settled, what was, was, what is, is, what will
be, will be and she’d duck in and out the conundrum of existence with grace and
a settled equilibrium.
The flight of her life had one
purposeful calling. In a subtle, yet, powerful way, she’d use her calming
energy on various beings, offering her serenity until they totally surrendered
the negative aspects that cluttered their lives, releasing fear, moderating
emotions and eliminating any blockage that caused distress. She believed in the
three A-s, Acceptance of self, Admiration of self, Appreciation of self. It was
the key, she felt, to happiness. So she flitted in and out with a gentle
deployment of celestial hugs that nudged calmness.
The one hiccup, others thought, in her composed world was
being friends with a mote demon, a Gigelorum, called Ni. Like her, Ni crossed
into the Earthly plane and interacted surreptitiously with humans. Cassiel was
slylike but Ni's actions were sneaky and clandestine.
No humans comprehended what caused the suddenly spiritual
hike in emotions. Regardless, they sensed it altered something inside. Their
change in attitude often slipped into another's persona. Good or foul, the angelic
forces made them do it. It would inevitable become a spiritual viral
experience.
Unlike Cassiel, Ni, agitated, unsettled and disturbed. It
made them strange companions. Cassiel, though, found balance in their
relationship, a yin and yang sort of appeal. It would be reasonable to ask was
there sexual tension between Cassiel and Ni. So was there? Just enough to bring
twitter to their bellies.
Who was the stronger? Each thought that they were, which
made their relationship perfect.
"Natalie is mine," claimed Cassiel.
“Forbid! Forbid! Forbid!” Ni ordered.
Cassiel’s tranquil expression did not alter. “Calm yourself,
my friend. You will shatter a wing. Natalie needs to discover her bliss.”
“I have plans for Natalie.” The impish glare brought a glow
to his face.
“I, as well.”
“I saw her first. Infested thoughts for awhile, now.”
“Matters not. Go polish a knob and be proud of your skill.”
“Unfair.” Ni stood with strength, "I shall stand on my
rights to be me."
“Yes, you have been unfair with her, but…” Cassiel fluttered
about her friend, creating gentle breezes as if attempting to cool the moth’s
fiery fury. “…but it is who you are, what you do. I understand.”
“So you will leave me to my fun?”
“No. I must think of Natalie."
"My Natalie."
"Kowtow to me on this. And later we will dine on honeysucklespit this eve. Truce?”
Ni pouted. “No truce but I will come back for honeysucklespit.”
"This does not end here."
Both knew Cassiel would get her way. She would keep at it
until Ni surrendered. The angel was like water wearing rock.
Cassiel saw the threads in the grander tapestry and knew
that Natalie’s joy would have rippling repercussions. Ni had obstructed that
joy by giving her blinders when it came to men. The mote demonic tint of
superficial shallowness. Ni covered Natalie’s eyes with his wings so that the
woman couldn’t see beyond a man’s attractiveness and outward charm. Daunted by
inconsequential values she fumbled from one bed to another. Hence, she couldn’t
find a decent guy, yet, the longing for that perfect someone wouldn’t abate. It
was an endless cycle of craving the trite rather than substance, rolling her
ankles behind her ears thinking that was true love. Sadly, that ineffectual and
purposeless quest would end poorly unless Cassiel removed those blinders.
Cassiel might be too late, for the wing-touch of a Gigelorum often left a
residue that was difficult to pierce.
So there was the mission. To remove the himbo cocks and replace them with the honest hims that had depth of character. The challenge was grand. Himbos
were fun.
