Welcome to my Reading Nook, Liz Crowe. Please make yourself at home and let my cabana
boys/girls get you a drink.
Comfortable? Wonderful. Now
let’s get started.
Tell us about your latest release or upcoming
release. What inspired it?
Cheeky Blonde is a book set in the brewing
world. I was inspired to write it while at the Great American Beer Festival in Colorado
(where the story actually begins).
I was intrigued by the concept of rival
owners of different brewing companies having an "encounter" and what
that might do to the people around them.
If you could throw a party with any five
people (living or dead) who would you pick and why?
Channing Tatum
Alex Pettyfer
Joe Manganiello
Matthew Bomer
Matthew McConaughey
Yep.
Those guys. And hopefully you all know why.
What are at least five things you have on
your bucket list and have you done any of them?
honestly, I don't have a bucket list. I've
been lucky to have lived all over the world, visited many exotic places and
done many things already. But if I had
to name a single thing I have yet to do in my life that I want it would be to
learn to fly and airplane.
Do you work on one project at a time? Or do
you multi-task?
Because, like Jen Baxter in Cheeky
Blonde, I am part owner of a brewery and
handle marketing for it I consider myself a Class A multi-tasker. I have to be.
But as for writing projects I usually take
them one at a time. However, as my writing career is really starting to take
off I find myself having to be more flexible. There are many projects I must
complete while adding others.
What song would best describe your life?
That would be a tie between "Bitch"
by Meredith Brooks and "God is great. Beer is good. People are
crazy." by Billy Currington
Do you listen to music when writing? Do you
feel like some stories write themselves a soundtrack with specific music? If
so, what book and what kind of music influenced it?
I have soundtracks floating in my head all
they time for my books. Cheeky Blonde's
would have a fair bit of "Cake" songs like "Short Dress Long
Jacket" and "Italian Leather Sofa" because of the natural
attraction but humor Jen and Sean share.
Are any of your characters just like you or
have personality quirks/traits of you or someone you know?
None of my
characters are just like me. I like to get a little more creative than just
writing myself into every book. But
every character I have ever written shares traits with me or the people around
me for certain.
Who
are some of your other favorite authors and genres to read?
I'm a big mainstream fiction fan and enjoy
John Irving, Margaret Atwood, some of Stephen King, Ann Tyler and recently fell
in love with a book called "What Alice Forgot" by Lianne
Moriarty.
My fav erotic writers are Lauren Dane, Shayla
Black, Cat Johnson and I've recently discovered Joey W. Hill whom I met at a
conference---she rocks. But I am not a big paranormal, steam punk or sci fi
fan. I tend to enjoy real stories but admire those who craft entire new or
revisionary worlds for their characters.
When you looked in the mirror this morning,
what was the first thing you thought?
Get your fat arse to hot yoga. (I got at 6 in
the mornings and have to tell myself that at 5:30)
What is one thing scientists should invent?
Delicious beer with taste and zero calories.

Violence, intrigue, and passion are brewing in the craft beer world. When bitter rivals Jennifer Baxter and Sean Garrison meet, the notorious and handsome owner of Garrison Brothers Brewing stays true to form, seducing his rival at a national brewer’s convention.
Sean arrived at the convention expecting to get down to business, including his stated goal of hiring Jen away from Brick Street Brewery. But the beautiful fellow craft beer expert provides more of a distraction than he expected.
When sabotage strikes their fellow breweries, they unite to solve the mysteries. But fate and rumors brew more than beer as love, lust, jealousy, and misunderstanding collide in a way neither could have expected or anticipated.
Can they overcome the malicious chatter long enough to explore the emotion bubbling beneath the surface? Or will lust fall flat and leave them nothing but memories of the moment that slipped away?
