My Rating of Blue Cruise is: 3 & half Stars
Caleb thought his life was perfect. He had a job he loved,
was comfortably well off and found love in Turkey ,
a land he loved. Tarkan was unlike anyone American Caleb met before and these
two fit perfectly together. Until fate stepped in and in one instant destroyed Caleb’s
world. Now two years have passed and Caleb hasn’t been able to forget the one
man who stole his heart or let himself move on to another relationship. Forced
to go on another ‘Blue Cruise’ in Turkey by his friend Elle, Caleb finds more
than he imagines when he confronts the land he has avoided and the memories of
his love for Tarkan. Can Caleb let himself find love again in the arms of Adem,
his 1NS date?
Blue Cruise is a fun, heartwarming story that will take your breath away from the first page to the last. I loved how this author incorporated the Turkish culture in her story and felt it enhanced it even more-gave it that exotic appeal that made it much more lush. The story was fast paced, writing was tight and the characters were quite enjoyable. I felt for Caleb as he found love then lost it all in a blink of an eye. That was the heart of the story as Caleb found the strength to move on even as his heart broke at forgetting the one man who made such a difference in his life.
This is an author who knows how to craft complex, vulnerable characters that shine in a story. Caleb is a man conflicted as he tries to move on with his life. Adem remembers the love he saw between Tarkan and Caleb and wonders if he is a substitute to Caleb. The characters take center stage in Blue Cruise and frankly this is what drew me into the story. I felt the emotions of the characters and found that I was tearing up int he beginning as Caleb lost his love. Ms. Crowe delivers a story that is at times, an emotional journey as well as a spiritual one as Caleb figures out moving on with his life doesn't mean letting go of Tarkan. The secondary characters were a delight and I enjoyed them all. They helped move the story along nicely.
Blue Cruise is a wonderful story of love, loss and love again. Liz Crowe delivers a powerful story in under 60 pages and it will leave you breathless. I look forward to reading more in the Turkish series soon. If your looking for a story that has heart then grab Blue Cruise and settle in for an afternoon of reading entertainment.

thanks so much for taking time to read this Dawn. I don't know if you had the chance to read Turkish Delights first but you will see once you continue down the trail of this story with Tulip Princess (the last of the 1NS trilogy) the with the prequel: The Diplomat's Daughter (Emre/Tarkan/Lale's parents' story) THEN the final gut-wrenching novel: Flower Passage: Tarkans' Story that these characters continue to flow together. I loved this series and am very happy you enjoyed Blue Cruise!
I somehow read these out of order LOL Go figure
Can't wait Liz
Thanks for commenting and liking my review
yeah, Turkish Delights is the shortest of the 3, and intros all the characters and gives you framework for some of Blue Cruise. read it before Tulip Princess for certain! cheers
