Welcome to Dawn’s Reading Nook, Patricia. Please let my cabana boys/girls get you a drink and make yourself at home. Oh Yummy. Comfortable? Very, thank you, Dawn. Great…now let’s get down to business.
Q: Tell us a little about yourself. What you do, either for a living or for fun or both? I’m a full time author. I currently have five books published and another three under contract to be released in 2012 as well as several WIP’s in various stages. For fun, I read, cook or play with my young daughter.
Q: Tell us all about your latest or upcoming release. What inspired it? My upcoming release is called “A Very Good Year”. This is the second book in the “Westburg” Series after “Captive Lover”. If you’ve read Captive Lover then you know Dmitri’s tragic history. “A Very Good Year” is the happy ending that Dmitri deserved. It’s about an abused young man who finds love in the Texas Hill Country with a Marlboro Man and an Italian Stallion.
Q: If you had super powers, what would they be? Why? I’d love to be able to read minds like Mel Gibson in that “What Women Want” movie. I think it would just simplify life a little bit. No more lies. You’d know when someone was attracted to you and either run or go for it. LOL
Q: What genre haven’t you tried yet but want to in the future? Maybe werewolves or vampires. Paranormal definitely.
Q: What’s a fun fact about you? Something unique, a particular talent? I’m a pretty decent artist. I went to Long Beach State’s art school and I think I have some talent or at least I’ve been told I do.
Q: What is one thing readers might be surprised to know about you? This is my fourth career. I was in retail management for almost ten years and then was in the mortgage business for over twenty years and I also was an AIDS hospice nurse in the 90’s.
Q: If we asked your muse to describe you in three words, what do you think they might say? Diligent, funny and devoted (to my craft)
Q: Which fictional character do you most wish were real? My hero Trace Martin in “Warrior Nights”. He is a wounded vet who suffered mightily but overcame so much with the love of a good man and his family.
Q: What authors can be found in your library of books (print, audio or e-books)? Hundreds and hundreds. (I read a lot). I read all Male Male authors now but I was brought up with the old school romance writers like Kathleen E. Woodiwiss, Barbara Cartland and Jude Deveraux. Ladies like those gave me the first taste of love when I was just a young kid and a true love of romance.
Q: If you could travel anywhere in the world (money and time and travel is no object), where would you go? Why? And for how long? I would go somewhere tropical because I love the ocean and sun. Australia, Figi, The Virgin Islands, Thailand. I’d stay at least a year because I can write anywhere and I’d want to absorb the culture and know the people.
Q: Is there anything you’re currently working on that you can give us a taste of? Certainly. I just finished “The Slave’s Mask” yesterday. It’s a super hot BDSM Valentine’s Day novella. It is my one third part of a great cover called Valentine Masquerade. The other two authors in this project are Sue Brown and Lisa Worrall, two incredibly talented authors.
Q: When creating your characters, do you have models in mind or are they totally fictional? I have recently chosen models for all of my characters. It’s easy when you have friends like Dawn who give you lots of inspirational photos. LOL
Q: Are you in control of your characters or do they control you? I like to think that I control them, but sometimes they just walk off the page and do whatever the hell they want. I’m so anal that I end up having to rewrite the outline when that happens. The brats.
Q: If you came with a warning label, what would it say? “That chick has a dirty mind so guys watch out because she’s picturing you with another guy.”
Q: Please tell us where we can find you on the web. Patricialogan.author@yahoo.com and naughtypassions.blogspot.com and https://www.facebook.com/ploganauthor
Thanks for popping by and I wish you continued success in your writing career.
Thank you so much for inviting me Dawn

Sneak Peek into 'Chasing Deuce' that can be found in Chasing the Dream Anthology
Adult Excerpt:
“Hey Colt,” the deep baritone of Slade Devlin’s voice slid up Colt’s back, ending in a shiver as the sound circled his body and gripped his cock. Colt, at six foot one actually had to crane his chin upward another several inches to meet the eyes as black as obsidian. He was sure they were some sort of brown in color but they were so dark and piercing that Colt shivered when the man looked down into his. As tall as Slade was, he was also strikingly built. His muscular body was one of the first things that Colt had noticed about him and had been attracted to. Slade was a master plumber, the best that Austin Plumbers had and his work clothes consisted of navy or black muscle T-shirts and khaki’s or faded blue jeans. No plumber’s crack here, no sir. The man was all man, from the tip of his closely cropped head with the devilish widow’s peak, to the bottom of his steel-toed Wolverine’s.
Colt cleared his throat and deliberately took a sip of the hot coffee he’d just poured as he stood in the break room Monday morning. He looked up at the olive-complected man in front of him. “Morning Slade,” Colt answered smoothly, breathing deep to slow his suddenly rapid heartbeat.
Slade smiled, and began a slow loop around Colt, looking him up and down as if to admire the goods. Colt tried and failed to stop a shiver that coursed through him. When Slade stopped in front of him, he advanced on Colt, causing Colt to stumble backwards nearly slopping his coffee as his butt hit the counter behind. There was nothing he could do but stare up into the dark eyes of the larger man. Colt’s lips opened slightly and he huffed out a breath as Slade leaned forward. He was inches from Colt’s face and he placed both hands on the counter behind Colt, effectively trapping him between thick biceps on either side. The smell that hit Colt’s nostrils was one of pure testosterone covered weakly by a spicy soap, clean and tangy. Colt’s cock thickened painfully and unable to reach down and adjust it, all he could do was stand there as a crooked grin spread across Slade’s face.
