My Personal Review for Artistic Appeal by Andrew Grey

When I heard Andrew Grey did a sub-series in his beloved Bottled Up Series, I was curious to see what way he would go. I was pleasantly surprised by the way this author created a series inside a series as well as intrigued. Legal Artistry started this sub-series and Artistic Appeal continues it.

Now onto my review....

Meet Brian Watson. A lawyer who took over the 'The Woman in Blue' case and a single father with a young daughter. He finally admits to himself that he is gay and knows his close friends, Dieter Krumpf and Gerald Young have matchmaking on their minds now that they finally found one another and are happy together.

Meeting Nicholai, a deaf art restorer at his friend's Christmas party was an eye opener for Brian. Sparks fly between them but Brian has to overcome Nicholai's reluctance in losing his independence as well as his own issues that may sink this relationship before it even gets off the ground. Can Brian find a way to let Nicholai know that falling in love doesn't mean losing one's self instead it can mean finding your safe haven in this crazy world?

I love Andrew's books and for myself, each time I open one of his books, I get the feeling of coming back home after a long time away. His amazing stories capture something inside the pages that leave me speechless throughout the story and my emotions run the gauntlet as you experience each sigh, laugh, sadness and tears. Mr. Grey has a way about him that the reader finds appealing and downright addicting. The writing is tight, the story moves along at a nice even pace and the characters are so diverse and enjoyable, it is hard to find one in particular to rave about. All are enjoyable and stole a bit of my heart.

Artistic Appeal continues where Legal Artistry left off, this time with Brian Watson in the driving seat so to speak. He is a divorced man who finds himself finally confronting the fact that he is gay and though he was married, he wasn't happy. Now finding happiness with Nicholai, Brian finds that he is falling in love and worried his daughter Zoe won't accept it. I love Zoe. She had a winning way about her that left me smiling as she, in her nine year old wisdom, made her father see she loved him and Nicholai. She was defiantly one character I hope drops in future books-she was that lovable.

What I really liked was how this author continued the story started in Legal Artistry with completely different people, though we did meet Brain in Legal Artistry and we went along with Brian, Dieter, Gerald and Nicholai as they fought for Dieter's right to his family legacy and the famous painting, 'The Lady in Blue'. The author does a wonderful job in conveying the court case as well as the relationship between Brian and Nicholai perfectly even as forces try to tear them apart, either by their own insecurities and issues or other people's issues over it.

I won't go into how the story ends but believe me, have the Kleenex ready as you finish this latest masterpiece by Andrew Grey. You are going to need it. With each story this author creaters, I get more and more addicted to. His stories are priceless and I can not tell  you what specific one I love more. Each delivers something to me that I can't help but read over & over again. I have to recommend reading Legal Artistry before Artistic Appeal to get the full story on how the case for the 'The Lady in Blue' started.

If you are looking for a character rich storyline that has a moving plot, a legal case that will leave you on the edge of your seats and a love so fresh and new, then grab Artistic Appeal. You won't be able to put it down. I k now I couldn't.

My Rating for Artistic Appeal is 5+ Stars.
