Tell us about your latest book/upcoming releases. Is it part of a series and if so, can we read it as a standalone or do we need to read the others in the series first?
My latest book is An Elf's Love and it's part of the Santa's Elves series of books. Because this question had come up from one of my critique partners, I did something a little different with this one. In the forward of this book, I actually go into the time line of the story and put it all in perspective as this book has a part which coincides with the book before in the series. Now, while I would recommend to everyone to read the stories in sequence, with this one you wouldn't need to as I do lay out everything in a very general way from the series. The parts you wouldn't get are the specific details which just might drive you crazy...I know it did me...LOL!
What makes a good book to you? Story? Characters? Exotic locations?
Would you be upset if I said all of that? LOL! Really, I do believe that the characters drive the story. BUT if the story isn't solid, it doesn't matter how beautiful or exotic the locations maybe, the story won't be good. So you need all those elements together to make a damn good novel.
What's your favorite pizza toppings?
My favorites would be veggies.
What’s the worst thing you’ve ever done to one of your characters?
How about sex without touching? LOL! I plan to have a scene something like that in my next book, Captive Illusions 2: Merrick & Jenna.
Which of your books contains the sexiest love scene?
Well, I have a lot of sexy love scenes. Some of my favorites would be in The Thing About Elves which is the second book in the Santa's Elves series, Giselle's Elf which is book 4.5 in the Santa's Elves series and More Than Robotics. BUT the best loves scenes I've written to date in my opinion are in a WIP called Where's My Underwear Anyway? which I really, really love.
Which of your covers is your favorite?
That's easy! More Than Robotics...it's just so cool!
Which of your books was the easiest to write? The hardest?
More Than Robotics because I'm a real sci-fi buff and will definitely be doing more of it in the future. The Haunting of Maggie Grey and it's not because of the content but the location and time frame. It is my one and only historical and I was so anal about the details that I because gridlocked as I didn't want to get anything wrong. And what was weird is that I knew and understood the time, historic Scotland on the island of Skye. It took me almost a year to complete that one because I had to figure out a way to make it all mesh in my mind.
What is coming in 2010 from you?
Lots of things. I have seven books due to eXtasy Books and all of them have publication dates next year the first being February 1. I have another five books due to Loose Id but don't have definite dates on those as well as another five to Red Rose Press, again without definite dates. And then I also am working on some projects which have no homes yet...but I'm hopeful...LOL! All in all, I expect to be a very busy girl.
Where can readers find you on the web?
Everywhere... LOL!

If you could meet any character from any book, who would it be, what would you do and why?
It would be Logan MacKenzie from the Underwear book. And the reason I would love to meet him is that he is the epitome of a Scotsman with all the romantic parts and only a little of the bad. He is just so sexy and fun, I could eat him up. LOL!
Sneak Peek into An Elf's Love:
BLURB: When Trevor Haines attempts to kidnap Merna Locklin from her brother’s wedding, he is transported to an island paradise from which there appears to be no escape. Each day is an exquisite torture as he wants the young woman more and more. But Trevor needs to understand there is more to life than being the Dark Elf’s minion...will Merna be the elf to teach him?
Merna Locklin is terrified when she transports the man who tried to kidnap her and herself to a place she had always planned for a romantic retreat. But this is no honeymoon and Trevor Haines is no groom. Or is he?
LOG LINE: There is good in everything because even a dark cloud has a silver lining.
TEASER EXCERPT:
“Where are we?” Trevor shouted practically in her face.
“I don’t know,” Merna said and tried to get out of his grasp as well as out of the water they landed in the moment they arrived. “The water isn’t cold enough to be anywhere close to the North Pole. I’m guessing an island somewhere.”
“I should just break your neck right now.” The fire in his hand spread up his arm as the same sensations assaulted his mind and he immediately pulled away from her. “Maybe I should ask what you’ve done to me.” He eyed her cautiously. This would take a little experimentation.
“I haven’t done anything to you.” Her eyes held a wary awareness and she leaned as far away from him as she could.
“I guess the fire came from the bride.” His eyes raked her, and could plainly see she was curved in all the right places. But she was too young, too pretty with her smooth, porcelain skin, straight nose and wide, full mouth. It was a mouth for kissing and one he’d love to have around his cock. Her sapphire eyes just looked at him in a wide, open gaze. He shook his head and turned away slightly. He could see her naiveté in them and knew the girl was in for a rude awakening when thrust into the real world.
“Yeah, I guess you shouldn’t have pissed her off.” Her quite voice could barely be heard over the waves lapping at the pure white shore as she stood in knee deep water.
He looked down at the woman at his side and gave a humorless chuckle. “You think?”
Merna frowned and nodded, moving a little further away from him. “I think. Maybe we should look around here to see where we are while we still have daylight left.”
“We’re off the grid.” He stood still. Looking up at the sky, he wondered just where they had gotten themselves off to and why nothing registered. The man who had hired, for lack of a better term, him dark one was wrong at least about one thing and he suspected he was wrong about many more.
“Off the grid?”
“Yeah, my GPS is registering nothing. Nada. There aren’t many places like that on the earth.” He held up his pocket device showing her the lack of signal. “The only good part is it truly is waterproof.”
Merna shook her head and scanned the horizon. “I didn’t even notice you had something in your hand until you held it up.”
“Let’s just say, I’ve been around and know which tools to carry. Sleight of hand is nothing in my business. And this place is too good to be true.” Trevor looked around and saw a lover’s paradise, an island away from everyone with white sandy beaches and clear, turquoise blue waters. But they weren’t lovers and this wasn’t paradise. Being stuck here only made life worse as his body wanted things he couldn’t provide.
“Oh.” She shivered as the breeze made the wet fabric stick to her body and hugged herself.
“There’s one other thing I need to check.” He stepped closer and could smell her womanly scent.
“What’s that?” Her blue eyes gazed up at him.
“When I said I was going to kill you, I got burned. Didn’t you feel it?” Her eyes widened and her lips parted as her vulnerability was plainly written on her face. This would be harder than he thought. It was different when those you had to eliminate were faceless beings as many were in his business.
She shook her head and started to back away from him. “I don’t think so.”
“Look we’ve got to know. I need to try it again before we are completely sure, now won’t I?” Being a smart man he realized he only needed to try to hurt her a little. “I’m not going to kill you. At least not yet.”
Merna backed away from him as he reached out and grabbed her arm, twisting it a little for her to gasp in pain. The burning sensation was immediate and he dropped her arm like a hot potato. “Great. I can’t even do my job now because it requires me touching you. Get out of the water. We’ll have to find some sort of shelter before night. Then there’s the necessity of water and food.”
“What-what was your job?” she questioned quietly.
Trevor could feel the power rise as she silently defied him. He put his hands on his hips and gazed at her. This wasn’t going to be as easy as he lead to believe. But then again, he didn’t have a choice in the matter. Just one little job, then he could get his life back in order. “To kidnap an elf. Problem is, I think she’s kidnapped me.”
