My Personal Review for Blue Notes by Shira Anthony

Blue Notes is the first book by author Shira Anthony I have read and I got to admit, she now has a fan for life.

Get ready for a smooth story of two people finding friendship then love amid the backdrop of Paris in the winter.

Jason Greene was on the fast track of achieving everything he ever wanted- an up & coming career; a gorgeous fiancĂ© and enough money than he knew what to do with. That is, until he comes home to find his fiancĂ© in bed with another man. Forced to rethink on how he wants to live his life, he takes a sudden leave of absence and runs away to Paris, to think, to reevaluate and to heal a heart broken. But in Paris he meets a musician named Jules who shows Jason the meaning of the heart as two people find friendship then fall in love amid the backdrop of Paris’s lights. Now these two have to face the music as their pasts come back to haunt them and the question is, can these two find a way to survive the trials coming or will it tear their new found love apart?

Shira Anthony's Blue Notes is a wonderful story of two people finding themselves and love in the City of Love. With the right mix of friendship, romance, fun and mystery, Ms. Anthony delivers a stellar story to lose yourself in on a cold winter afternoon. I fell in love with the story the  minute I opened the book and found myself unable to put it down. With  he right amount of angst, friendship, intriguing characters, Ms. Anthony delivers a story that steals her readers' hearts and refuses to let it go. The writing was tight, storyline moved smoothly and the characters were well written & quite life like.

Blue Notes is a story of more than one couple's journey into love but finding the strength to face your past in order to have that future. With a few twists to keep the reader on the edge of their seat, with a bated breath no less, Ms. Anthony completely captivates you in Blue Notes as Jason and Jules find themselves falling hard and fast for one another. There was a few secondary characters that had me smiling at times as they lightened the mood and kept the book from coming too dark.

Ms. Anthony delivers a story worthy of becoming an instant classic in the years to come. I can honestly say I now want to go to Paris in the winter to walk the streets where Jason & Jules roamed & fell in love. Blue Notes is a stroy of more of boy meets boy, fall in love and live happily ever after. it's about two people finding the strength to face their fears & find the happiness they need and crave...if they can just reach out and grab it.

Blue Notes is now on my keeper shelf and I am eager to see what else this author has to offer her readers in the future. If you are looking for a story that is smooth like a top shelf Cabernet and as musical as a jazz club, then grab Blue Notes and settle in for an evening of pure enjoyment.

My Rating for Blue Notes: 5 Stars
