Yes--I forgot to include Wilde--he would definitely add relish to the gathering, but have to disagree on John Lennon--he always came across as mean to me. Didn't you sometimes just want to shake Emma though? :)M. S. I love British fiction, such as Christie and Marsh. I'm also into P. D. James now, but I love classic literature as well. My favorite Austen is "Emma," and I love Hardy, particularly "Return of the Native." If I could throw a dinner party with special people, I'd choose Oscar Wilde, Eamon DeValera, Grace O'Malley, John Lennon, and Walt Whitman. It would make for an interesting meeting.Viola Russellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05422914757313213787noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789306770595487028.post-80168324424239842942011-06-25T16:35:32.114-04:002011-06-25T16:35:32.114-04:00I just remembered: running of the bulls. I had to include Churchill since he's a relative :) (Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill) but I'd still be fascinated to hear his memories.
It's the pony swim--the firemen swim the horses across Assateague Channel in July where they auction them off. I've actually never been! But I adore Chincoteague. Thanks for reading my interview. MeredithM. S. Your list of who you'd invite is certainly a mixture!
I also don't listen to music...I find it distracting.
And, I've been to Chincoteague. The running of the horses, right? I know it's called something else, but I can't recall. It was ages ago.Marianne Stephenshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05277593485137508765noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7789306770595487028.post-89017426937564997452011-06-24T16:53:30.626-04:002011-06-24T16:53:30.626-04:00Thanks Lin.
