Winter Heat Anthology~Welcome Author Julie Lynn Hayes

Please give a warm welcome to Levi Thornton from Son of a Preacher Man by Julie Lynn Hayes today as we sit down and see what makes him tick.

Q: So tell us about yourself. What got you in the crosshairs for your author?  *shrugs* I wouldn’t be surprised if it wasn’t my father. He’s the famous televangelist Marshall Thornton, you know. Everybody’s favorite fire and brimstone preacher. I just happen to be his gay son. Funny that he named me Leviticus. Ironic, even. I guess she saw me sitting in the diner, trolling for men, and figured out something was up. I don’t really know. All I wanted was a little fun. And to make a fool out of my father on Christmas Day, on live national TV.

Q: What was it that drew you to your mate? The damn fool came into the diner, out of the cold, without even a coat. But before I realized that, I think it was his eyes. Dar has the most amazing blue eyes. I took one look at him and decided he was the one I wanted to play with.

Q: A little naughty fun, where was the wildest place you seduced your partner(s)? I took Dar to my parents’ little hideaway in the woods, and then I fucked him in my parents’ bed. They weren’t there, of course.

Q: Boxers, briefs or Commando on a man? Commando is my preference.

Q: If your partner wants to seduce you, what's one sure fire trick he/she can play?  All Dar has to do is tell me he wants me, and I’m his. No one else’s.

Q: What is the one place on your partner's body that you know will drive them wild-in and out of bed? Not telling. You don’t need to know everything.

Q: What was one of the most embarrassing things your author did to you in Son of a Preacher Man? She named it after some old song, for crying out loud. Couldn’t be bothered to think of something new, I guess. I know I’m the son of a preacher man, but have a little imagination, why don’t you?

Q: Anything else you would like to add? I could wish  you a Merry Christmas, but that seems rather trite, so I’ll just say that appearances can be deceiving, and you never know what secrets lurk in the hearts and souls of your fellow men. Also, be careful what you wish for, because you just might get it…

Thank you, Levi, for joining us on 'Meet the Character' day here at Dawn’s Reading Nook Blog. Please find Winter Heat: Son of a Preacher Man by Julie Lynn Hayes at IRM.

Excerpt:  Levi paused long enough to admire what he’d uncovered. Darjeeling, although slight, had a lovely chest that wasn’t too slender or too broad; it tapered to a narrow waist. He didn’t have a six pack stomach or washboard abs, but Levi didn’t care. He had skin so pale it was almost alabaster. Levi ran his fingers across it gently; it was soft and supple, and smooth to the touch.
He handily uncinched Dar’s belt from about his waist and tossed it aside; reaching for the button, he deftly undid it, and pulled the zipper down in one smooth motion. To his glee, he found that the young man apparently chose to go commando; his half-hard cock spilled out in all its naked glory. Levi seized it with eager hands, surprised at what he saw.
“You’re uncut?”
“My parents don’t believe in circumcision.”
God bless Mr. and Mrs. Crane, wherever they are.
Levi knelt before Dar, taking in the sight of his uncircumcised cock. He’d never realized just how beautiful an uncut man could be. He felt momentarily unsure of himself, but Dar took Levi’s hands in his and showed him how to pull the foreskin back. Levi stroked his growing erection, reveling in the feel of it against his palms. He kissed the cockhead, experimentally inserting his tongue inside the slit, tasting a salty-sweet fluid. He could worship this beautiful piece of flesh forever, he thought, but his own cock ached with a need that refused to be denied, or postponed.
“May I undress you?”
Levi was startled from his reverie, glancing up at the nearly naked blond. Normally, that was something he preferred to do himself, but on impulse he said, “Sure.” Leaving a last kiss on Dar’s shaft—at least for now—he tugged at his trousers, only belatedly realizing they wouldn’t come off over his shoes. He rose from the thick rose carpet and in one fluid motion lifted Darjeeling into his arms, carrying him the short distance to the bed where he laid him on his back. Dar giggled, winding his arms about Levi’s neck. Their lips met in a series of kisses which began as short pecks that became longer and longer until their tongues tangled once more, and Levi was forced to break it off in order to breathe.

My Bio:  Julie Lynn Hayes was reading at the age of two and writing by the age of nine and always wanted to be a writer when she grew up. Two marriages, five children, and more than forty years later, that is still her dream. She blames her younger daughters for introducing her to yaoi and the world of M/M love, a world which has captured her imagination and her heart and fueled her writing in ways she'd never dreamed of before. She especially loves stories of two men finding true love and happiness in one another's arms and is a great believer in the happily ever after. She lives in St. Louis with her daughter Sarah and two cats, loves books and movies, and hopes to be a world traveler some day. While working a temporary day job, she continues to write her books and stories and reviews, which she posts in various places on the internet. Her family thinks she is a bit off, but she doesn't mind. Marching to the beat of one's own drummer is a good thing, after all.  Her published works can be found at Dreamspinner Press, and MuseitUp Publishing, and she has also begun to self-publish at various places on the Internet.

Book blurb:  Levi Thornton is the closeted gay son of homophobic televangelist Marshall Thornton. So what’s the perfect gift for the father who never cared? Levi’s going to find a yummy young man on Christmas Eve, fuck him all night long and six ways to Sunday. And then he’s going to out himself on live national TV on Christmas Day in front of his father and God and everyone else.
The problem is he’s having no luck at finding that special someone to share this moment with. Just when he thinks his quest is hopeless, in breezes Darjeeling Crane, and it’s off to the family hideaway for a night of fun. This will be a Christmas to remember, if Levi has anything to say about it.
