But Noah won’t hide his sexuality or his love from the world, and he won’t start a relationship with Tommy while Tommy hides his, either. Faced with the choice of losing Noah or coming out to his parents, Tommy takes his first steps out of the closet.

But Tommy isn’t the only one facing challenges. Thanks to an outpouring of hatred from Pastor Jackson and a group of ranch owners, Noah must cope with the possible loss of his church and his livelihood.

At least he can get a couple of drinks and hustle some poor sucker out of a few bucks at pool. “Daddy” is not a title Rue Murray wanted, but he never thought he’d have sex with a woman either. Now he’s the unwitting father of a newborn named Alice. Between bartending and cosmetology school, Rue doesn’t have time for babies, but he can’t give her up. What Rue needs is a babysitter, and he’s running out of options. He’s on the verge of quitting school to watch Alice himself when he remembers his reclusive new neighbor, Erik.

Erik Van Nuys is a sci-fi novelist with anxiety issues to spare. He doesn’t like people in general, and he likes babies even less. Still, with his royalties dwindling, he could use the extra cash. Reluctantly, he takes on the role of manny—and even more reluctantly, he finds himself falling for Alice and her flamboyant father.

Rue and Erik are as different as two people can be, and Alice is the unlikeliest of babies, but Rue has never been happier than when Alice and Erik are by his side. At least, not until he receives an offer that puts all his dreams within reach and he’s forced to choose: the future he’s always wanted, or the family he thought he never did.

Welcome Michael Mandrake today & a Contest

Inspiration for Under the Gun
Michael Mandrake

Thanks for having me. So, my latest novella, Under the Gun from No Boundaries is an interracial m/m romance about a two men who come from different paths but find out just how much they have in common. Malik Day is a discharged soldier under the now defunct DADT policy while Camdyn Hardy is private investigator who just lost his lover when he decided homosexuality wasn’t for him.

The novel idea came from a sub call I answered and wasn’t successful at getting published. However, that seemed to be a blessing in disguise. I’d get to rewrite this novella and give the characters a much longer story.

Surely, other than Binding Justice, it’s different than my other books. I add a touch of snark from BL, tap into the kink as she would and add some more sensuality as Rawiya; all because my characters ask for it.

Now onto the music. This story is a romance with two very interesting characters, both of headstrong, stubborn, proud, and alpha. I’m choosing some metal in this case since both characters are faced with difficult situations. Some Sevendust and Ministry for the angst, maybe even some Nine Inch Nails. For the calmer and more tension filled moments, Depeche Mode. When the characters finally realize what they have is worth giving it a try, smooth R&B like Sade but there’s one scene in particular where the characters are having sex but, ahem, a little different than you’d expect. For this, I like to pull out NIN again and one song I’m thinking of is the song Sanctified. The tone of the song, seductive with an edge, gives off the feel I’m looking for in this particular part.

I love when a song helps me write a story! Thanks so much for listening.

**Today I’m giving away a copy of my hot new M/M book from No Boundaries to one lucky commenter.

Camdyn Hardy is a former cop who has his own private investigator business. Due to a misunderstanding from a client, he gets into an argument with his lover Tay. Right after, they breakup Camdyn is left alone to think about his future as a PI and his love life.

Malik Day was recently discharged under the DADT policy and is looking to get his life on track The main reason he joined was because he dreamed of being a ranking officer. Now that it’s been taken away, he desires to start his life anew and find someone to share it with.

After two weeks the men meet at a shooting range and find out they have a lot in common. Once they engage in a one on one match, they proceed to a bar to have drinks and get to know one another better.  They both discover their affinity for guns as well as Camdyn’s need for a new partner at Camdyn & Associates. Malik is intrigued but afraid to ask him and decides to wait till they are closer. Camdyn is excited about this prospect as well but waits for Malik to say the word. Finally, in an erotic encounter, true feelings are revealed.

In subsequent books, the story continues where the twosome begin their work and love relationship. Together they’ll take on cases investigating cheating husbands or wives, companies with defector employees all the while trying to maintain their newfound commitment to one another as well as having a little fun in the process.

When he made it to the office, he signed the necessary papers and waited as the man finished his transaction. Lazily, he leaned on the counter and nonchalantly glanced at a hot looking man that stood less than twenty feet away. Malik grinned and moistened his lips in the gorgeous stranger’s direction.
Damn.
The attractive guy gave him more than an eye and winked. Obviously, he plays on my team. His lush brown-and-blond hair barely kissed his shoulders. Beautiful azure eyes the same color as the Pacific. Lips so slim and kissable, Malik knew he could enjoy them for hours. Wicked visions crossed his mind as he eyed the scruff on the man’s cheeks. He liked a little roughness when making love.
The snug, black shirt fit well, hugging his bulging muscles. Malik eyed the ink that peeked from under one sleeve and salivated. His skinny, black jeans clung to his taut buttocks; Malik’s own trousers felt a little tight in the crotch. “Mhmmm.” Malik tried to keep his stares from being obvious to the clerk.
Would the hot man like to play with him a little? Malik sure hoped so.
It had been a long while since his last fuck. He’d spent the time searching for employment, going to job fairs, and not getting any call backs. Malik had remained so focused on getting a job; he’d ignored the signals of his groin needing a release from other than his own hand. Too long. He headed for the door and wished the handsome man would follow.
Maybe it’s time to stop looking for work and attempt to find a man.
Just when he stepped out, a voice stopped him.
“Hey.”
Malik slowly turned around. It was indeed him, the hottie he’d been eyeing. It shocked Malik to see the guy was actually speaking to him. “Hello.” Malik was taken aback by the guy speaking to him, but he guessed he warranted a greeting when they exchanged more than a passing glance.
The man stepped closer to him and held out his hand. “Name’s Camdyn. And you are?”
“Malik.” He accepted the handshake and returned it firmly. “Nice to meet you.” He raised an eyebrow.
“Same here.” Malik noticed Camdyn continued to hold on to his palm. Of course he didn’t mind; it felt unexpectedly soft and warm. “Um, you been comin’ here a while?”
“Yeah, I um…” Malik stopped short and bit his lip. He tried not to sound too excited. This was the last place he’d expected to be picked up at. The shooting range? Malik would’ve never thought of this place to meet other gay men.
“I been around, but I just got back in town.”
“Yeah? I’m guessin’ from the getup you served in the Army.”
“Uh huh… I um… yeah, let’s go outside.” Quickly, he pulled his hands away, even though he didn’t want to. Surely, he wanted to talk with Camdyn some more, but away from others coming in and out of the shop. He felt a little uncomfortable being picked up at some place so manly, but in a way, he liked it.

Welcome Tara Chevrestt Today

Please give a warm welcome to author Tara Chevrestt today as we talk about her first non-fiction book, Deaf Isn't Dumb, available April 27th from Breathless Press.

Hi there Tara, please introduce yourself to the readers. Where can we find you on the web?

I have a website that is just Author Me.  http://tarachevrestt.weebly.com/index.html
And I have a blog for Reader Me. If you like to read, especially strong women heroines, you may like the books I review on Book Babe: http://wwwbookbabe.blogspot.com/

Do you work on one project at a time? Or do you multi-task?

I TRY to do one book at a time, but it's gotten away from lately. LOL. I will set a book aside if another book is calling to me, however. Or sometimes I have joint projects with other authors and while it's in their hands, I will work on something else. But for the most part, I try to finish one book before starting another. I write so many different genres and my books take place in different times and places, that I fear I will get confused.

Who are some of your other favorite authors and genres to read?

Historical Fiction!!! I love reading about women in history especially. Currently, I'm reading a novel about Queen Isabella of Spain.

You have your first non-fiction book out on April 27th called Deaf Isn't Dumb. Can you give us a little background on the book? What inspired you to write this?

My coworkers. You know when you're standing around a wing drilling holes all day,  you get to talking with your mates. We would tell stories, jokes, and sometimes the conversation went around to my deafness. They kept telling me I needed to put this stuff out there for others to learn about. So I did. I sincerely hope someone learns something from it.

You also wrote a contemporary romance called A Facebook Affair that had a deaf heroine. Was she modeled after you or someone you know?

Her childhood experiences were based on my own. Her adulthood, no. I was bullied quite a bit in school.

Do you listen to music when writing? Do you feel like some stories write themselves a soundtrack with specific music? If so, what book and what kind of music influenced it?

No. I work in silence. I CAN play music in my hearing aid if I want, but I have to concentrate so hard to hear any of it, no. Music doesn't work for me. :)
What are at least five things you have on your bucket list and have you done any of them?

I wanted to write a book and get published. Done. I still want to travel more. I want to go to Australia and London. Other things I've done that were on my list: Swim with dolphins!

Anything else you want to add?

Thank you for having me. I hope anyone who reads this book will walk away having a greater understanding of what it's like to live with hearing loss and may even change their perspective somewhat of us in general.

Deaf Isn't Dumb by Tara Chevrestt
Breathless Press
Non-fiction

You're stupid. You're retarded. You shouldn't have this job. These words lit a fire of determination in one deaf woman who set out to prove to the aviation world…and the world in general that deaf isn't dumb.
Deaf Isn't Dumb is a motivational story of a young woman, Tara, who faces the challenges of growing up "hearing impaired" in a hearing world. Follow her as she recounts everything from childhood bullies to work related restrictions, and funny misunderstandings from mispronounced words to fear of Federal Air Marshals. In this tale, straight from the heart, learn that simply because one is deaf—contrary to popular misconception—it doesn't mean they are dumb.
A Teaser Excerpt into Deaf Isn't Dumb:
"Chevrestt!" The balding, middle-aged instructor finally bellowed my last name along with two other girls'. It was time. With sweaty palms, a racing heartbeat, and shaky legs, I left the prefab building and followed the instructor into the parking lot. He pointed me in the direction of a silver Ford. I climbed into the driver's seat and watched the instructor through my windshield as I went over my checklist and prepared myself to drive.
First, buckle your seatbelt. I took a deep breath and accomplished that. I felt a satisfying click as the seatbelt locked into place.
Second, adjust your seat. I had to pull the seat up a bit by grabbing the handle underneath and pulling myself forward.
Third, adjust your mirrors. I adjusted my rearview mirror first. Then I glanced at the side mirrors. They would do.
Fourth, start your car. I turned the key in the ignition. I waited. A bead of sweat tickled down my cheek as it made a path from my forehead. I impatiently swiped it away and turned the key in the ignition again. Nothing. I was beginning to get upset. I finally get a chance to drive and of course, I get the car that won't start! Had my vocabulary contained more four-letter words at this age in my life, I probably would have used them—all of them.
I was turning the key in the ignition again when a movement by my driver's door caught my eye. I looked in that direction to see the instructor waving his arms and yelling, "What are you doing?"
I cleared my throat and stared out at him, bewildered. "I'm trying to start the car!" Had the seats been leather, my legs would have been stuck to them by then.
Then the instructor said the most surprising thing. "The car is on already!"
My mouth fell open, and I looked wildly around the interior of the car as though it would yield an answer to this mystery. I did not hear a thing, of course, but most shocking of all is I didn't feel a thing. My father's old Nissan vibrated. You knew that truck was on and running when the hairs on your head began to dance and shake and your limbs unconsciously began to do the hokey pokey. No big mystery with that Nissan truck. This late model car was going to be a problem.
Red-faced, I quit turning the key in the ignition and faced forward, awaiting further instructions.

My Personal Review for Hope by William Neale

When William Neale died earlier this year, I was gobsmacked. His passing leaves a void in the publishing-centrally the M/M world-that is felt to this day. He was a wonderful man, a nice person when I had the pleasure of talking to him in chats on my loop and I had his books on my wish list forever. When I was asked to read and review his final book, I wanted to do William & his partner, Marty, justice and after sleeping on my thoughts and feelings over Hope, I hope I finally got what I wanted to say out right.

Here is my personal review for Hope, A Home Series story.

My rating for Hope- 5 stars and a Recommended Read

Spencer Hawkins was dumped by his in the closet boyfriend & jobless; he has no idea what to do. Until the job he is hoping for lands in his lap. Moving to a new city gives him hope that he can get his life on track again. Meeting Hunter Harrison and his son, Ethan has him eager to see if the sparks that fly between Hunter and Spencer can be fanned into something more while he finds he growing to adore Ethan. But life isn’t all about roses and flowers. Hunter’s son is deathly ill and Spencer will need to be patient if he wants Hunter in his life. Can two people find that the love they need and want is right there in front of them…all they need to do is trust their heart?

Hope is the first book I have read from this author and I got to admit, I have never read a more honest, well written story that literally leaves you speechless when you flip that last page. His characters fairly brim with life, step off the pages and into your life with ease. I could see them firmly in my mind and that is a gift few authors have, in my opinion. To create such wonderful and memorable characters that leave an impression on the reader, why it’s absolutely remarkable to see and to read. His writing was tight, the story flowed smoothly and even though it took me a bit to see who were the main players were, after the first few pages, I was lost in the pages of Hope, surfacing when the last page was turned over. I laughed, I cried, I smiled, I cheered. I ran the gauntlet of emotions with this story even as I tried to keep the grief of losing this wonderful author at the background.

William Neale’s Hope delivers more than a story of boy has broken heart, finds new love and lives happily ever after. Life isn’t all that rosy-it has ups and downs, good times and bad and the theme throughout this entire story was just that-hope. It was central to the story of Spencer and Hunter’s main story, in several of the sub-plots that threaded their way through the pages and left me feeling like life was just a bit brighter afterwards. That is the art of reading a William Neale story I think. This author’s utter honesty in his characters, in showing the reader life’s messiness amid the romance and finding the balance between that-that is what makes Mr. Neale’s books so enjoyable and quite relatable. Will I pick up more of this author’s work? You bet I will and find a way to get them on my print shelf as well.

Hope is a story that is more of finding, losing and finding yet again your heart’s desires. It’s about finding hope in a world when darkness seems to crowd you in, when life may seem so bleak and you don't know where to turn…there is light out there to brighten your way home. Hope is more than a simple romance story…it is literally about the hope you can have for a new job, a new relationship, for life. My hat is tipped off to an author who knew how to convey that in his stories and I am now a fan for life of William Neale.

Thank you Mr. Neale for your final book full of hope, love and more.

Welcome Kassanna and introducing Club Lexx

My palms were damp and I had to pull my blouse from the sticky skin of my chest. Running a hand down my skirt, I lifted my head to stare at the gilded gold doors that led to the inner chambers of Club Lexx. The door was pulled open before I had the opportunity to knock and my gaze met that of Tanya Babineaux. She’s one of the security personnel for the club.
Clearing my throat, I spoke quickly. “Hi, I’m Kassanna. I have an appointment with John Lexington.”
She looked me up and down before pushing the door completely open. I ignored the urge to look down and check my appearance. Perhaps my business suit was a bit overboard but I wanted to make a good impression.
“I know who you are.” Tanya turned on her heel and walked away forcing me to follow behind her.
I guess I wasn’t moving fast enough. She turned and raised and arched brow in my direction. Stepping across the threshold I couldn’t help but take in my surrounding. Without the cover of darkness and strobe lights the club had an industrial look, all dark wood and steel. The black chairs were either tightly grouped around tables or on top of them and the polished dance floor gleamed.
Trailing in her wake, I caught a blur of movement at the corner of my eye and turned to meet the hazel gaze of Mick. The sexy Australian bar manager was slowly wiping a cloth around the rim of a wineglass. He winked and I swallowed. When he smiled I noticed something, he had dimples. So engrossed with him I didn’t notice when Tanya stopped. With a thud I plowed right into her back. When she turned around I apologized profusely and ran my hands don her arms to ensure she was okay, while listening to the deep chuckle of the gorgeous man that had held my rapt attention, drift away.
Sighing, she brushed my hands away and shifted to the side. Then I was face to face with the dazzling purple door. I pursed my lips and wondered if maybe I had gone too far making it sparkle under the spotlight. Tanya tapped her fingers on the keypad next to it and the locks popped open on the softest click. She grabbed the handle and pulled exposing the blindingly white interior of the hallway.
White carpet and walls were the theme of the passage with more doors, ten in total, and five on each side. Not counting the one at the end. I knew that door led to John’s apartment. I looked over at Tanya and she pointed to a fire exit. I nodded, that way led to the mezzanine floor and John’s office. Funny, I didn’t remember making it a fire exit.  I smiled and crossed the threshold, stepping on to the thick pile carpet. Slim brown fingers touched my hand. I looked up and Tanya spoke.
            “What about Luther and I?”
I understood her question. I hadn’t finished her story and she was inquiring about it. “Not much longer. There are a few more things I want to check and of course you’re book needs a title.” I gave her an honest answer.
I heard her “hmph” of frustration as the door closed. At least I knew why she was giving me attitude. I took the few steps to the entryway and pulled on the handle of the heavy metal door. Nothing happened. I tried again. Debating if I could go back the way I came, the door flew open and attached to the hand that held it was none other than Adam,  John’s head of security.
“Sorry. I was running a bit late.”
“That’s okay.” I was face to body with a solid wall of sculpted chest as I slipped past him. Wow who was I thinking of when I created him.
The clack of my heels on the concrete stairs echoed in the hallway. But I had a gorgeous view of Adam’s ass in jeans so our silence didn’t bother me. On the landing, he opened the door for me. Before entering John’s domain I looked around. Maybe I should make John’s space more inviting and less sterile. I smiled at Adam and he nodded. I wanted to say something then I remembered Adam isn’t a talker. Inhaling, I walked past him and into John’s inner sanctum. As he pulled the door shut he spoke. “Lex wanted me to tell you hi.”
Now that gave me a warm and fuzzy feeling all over, at least Lex liked me. I walked further in to the room and wondered if John would consider me rude if I took a water bottle from his mini-bar.
“Yes I would find that rude.” His voice came from the corner. John stepped from the windows overlooking the dance floor and took the seat behind his desk.
“Hello John. Thanks for taking the time to give me an interview.” I walked around and sat down in one of the leather club chairs in-front of him.
“As if I had a choice. Kassanna.”
I reach into my purse and pull out my pen and pad. “Shall we get started?”
            “Ask away.”
“Okay, how are you and Mattie getting along?
“We’re good. Mattie’s at work. I’ll see her tonight for dinner. Why didn’t you bother Mattie with this nonsense?”
“It’s not nonsense. I thought it would be interesting to check up on everyone.”
“Well you’re here, you’ve walked around. Consider everyone check on.” He lifted a few papers from his desk. “I have a business to run.”
I would not be dismissed so easily after all I created him and his world. “Would it kill you to answer a few questions?”
            “You tell me great creator.”
“Funny John. What are your plans with Mattie?”
“Why ruin a good thing with plans. I love Mattie and she knows it. If we are constantly worrying about tomorrow how can we live today.”
“Interesting, I have to say I never thought about you like that. It’s a very Zen.”
“There’s quite a bit you don’t know about me.”
I snorted. “I find that hard to believe.”
His smile was dangerous. “You may have created our world, Kassanna, however as with all things, me, my family, and my friends, we evolved. In other words you established the base and we chose how we wanted to build on it.” He leaned in and stared at me. “Now, do you really know me or just think you do.”
I pursed my lips. I knew John he could be cold. That’s what made him such a great business man. I got comfortable sliding back on the leather and crossing my legs. “Alright John, One more question.”
He leaned back and formed a steeple with his fingers. His knuckles cracked in the process. “Can we get this over with?”
“Fine. Why do you have such a problem with Donovan and Zachary?”
John chuckled. “You tell me, you’re the writer. Now I have a question of my own.”
            “Shoot.”
“Since you bring up my brothers, I was wondering about Luther. Can I get a time frame on his book?  I’m tired of his endless questions.
I smiled. “You’ve evolved John, guess. Tanya already asked me the same question so I’m sure Luther has his answer by now.
John pushed back from his desk and rose from his chair. “Then I think our interview is concluded. I trust you can find your way out.” He strolled out of his office.
I sat staring at the space he’d occupied. I’d been dismissed by my own character. I stood and walked towards the door. I noticed little things. There were pictures of Mattie everywhere, on the chrome and glass bookshelves, the wall. I looked over my shoulder, on his desk. John’s office was no longer industrial beige. Instead it was a pale shade of blue. Apparently Mattie had influenced him to some degree. As I shut his office door behind me I had to wonder had my characters truly progressed without my notice?
I walked down the steps to the landing, chewing the inside of my lip as I pondered the question I asked myself. Standing at the door that led to the club, I turned away and chose the exit door on the other side of the landing. Stepping back into my world after walking around in theirs, I’m inclined to think anything is possible.

Whip Me Real Good. Club Lexx, 1

Mattie couldn't believe her luck...

Not only had the Lexington Corporation agreed to fund her grant for the small organization she'd founded for abused women but she also received a complimentary ticket to the year's hottest party. The Erotic Exotic Event. Mattie's pleasure was two-fold. This was her chance to thank J. Lexington personally for choosing her little charity, and she could let loose a little from her stodgy persona to do it. She had no clue what she was in for.

John was a strong believer of giving back to the community which was why he chose a non-profit entity to support every year. What he didn't expect was the latte beauty, who looked like a librarian with the moves of a stripper, to come bounding through the club's gold doors. When the opportunity presented itself, he snatched it with both hands.

That's when things really start to heat up.

Be Warned: sex toys, BDSM, public exhibitionism.

A loud mewl cut across the music, and Mattie followed the sound to one of the four enormous cages suspended from the ceiling. In a metal cube, a man and woman danced to the beat of the thumping house music flowing from the speakers. Grinding against each other in an imitation of a sexual act, the man in a hooded mask had a muscular body that glistened with sweat under the lights. Wearing low-slung leather pants, he gripped the woman by the hair and twirled her around, then pushed her against the bars of the cage and quickly covered her body with his own. The woman, in a black string bikini, pulled her hair free, pushed back with her body and bent over before the man, grabbing her ankles and tilting her ass into the air. He gripped her hips, slipping his fingers under the thin straps that held the miniscule pieces of cloth together, bent over her, and ran his tongue along her spine.

Mattie turned in her seat, pressing her thighs together and took a deep sip of her drink. She looked into the mirror flanking the bar and found herself staring right into the arctic blue eyes of the man sitting next to her. He smiled, flashing shockingly white teeth under the black lights. Mattie nodded and quickly turned away to look at the human petting zoo on to the other side of the large open space.

Men and women were clad in various fake furs and collars with chains. A mock wooden fence formed an enclosure around its occupants. Some people held their hands over the fence, trying to coax one of the "herd" over to them. Within the corral itself, a man was trying to mount a woman. Mattie squinted, adjusting her glasses, trying to get a better view. She was wrong, not a man. A woman with a...okay, she wasn't quite ready for that visual. Mattie took the straw from her drink and laid it to the side, then took a big gulp of her drink. Shifting in her seat, she peeked over the glass pressed to her lips. Mattie spied the sexy couple, partially hidden by bales of hay. The woman's hips pumped frantically, one arm extended against the pale grass. Mattie pulled the glasses down the bridge of her nose and narrowed her eyes to get a better view.

"First time here?"

Mattie felt the light touch of gentle lips against the rim of her ear.

Excerpt:

"Gotcha." Thick arms grabbed her by the middle from behind, pulling her away from the edge.

Lex didn't think about it, she reacted. Her boot came down hard on the in-step of the foot next to hers. She was abruptly let go and took a step forward turning on the ball of her feet before she tumbled over the edge of the loading bay. She slipped to the side and out of the reach of the unknown person, drew herself to her full height, dropping her arms and forming fists in anticipation, ready to counter another attack.

She looked right into the cool brown eyes of Adam.

"What the hell was that for?" Adam yelled, stretching out his leg and rotating his foot.

"I didn't know who was behind me. You could have been a damn stalker for all I knew. You should've said something." She relaxed her shoulders and hands.

"That wouldn't have been a problem if you'd stayed in the damn club." He took a menacing step toward her.

"Funny last I checked John was gone and my daddy was dead. Sorry but your opinion doesn't count." Lex held her ground and raised her chin.

"I think that's part of your problem. J.L. should have spanked you as a child. Instead he let you run around wild thinking you could do anything without any fear of the consequences." Adam moved closer.

"Spankings? Are you kidding? I feel sorry for any kid you have. As for daddy, let's leave him out of this. As I see it, right now you're not quite measuring up to the man." Her heart pounded in her chest and the breeze whipping through the loading dock chilled her damp skin.

"You always did have a sharp tongue. Maybe it's time someone to taught you a lesson." Adam was in her space so close she could see the pulsing vein at the side of his neck.

"Really. You and what army?" Lex looked up at him meeting his gaze and cocked an arched brow.

She knew she'd gone too far when she felt the pinch of Adams fingers on her sides. The wind ruffled her hair, pushing the short tresses into her face as he walked her backwards the few steps to pin her against the wall. He leaned in, and rested his forearms against the concrete block on either side of her head. His pushed a hard thigh between her legs forcing her to separate them. She lifted her eyes and met his. Her breathing was coming in short pants and her heart played racquet ball with her ribs.

She had only ever dreamed he would get this close to her. Lex bit down on the inside of her cheek, flinching from the pain. Not a dream. She went on the offensive.

Closing her eyes and grabbing his face, she pulled his head down as she rose up on her toes and pressed her lips to his. She licked at his lips and slid her hands around his neck, one hand rubbing the silky hairs at the back of his head.

She felt his momentary hesitation before he gave into the kiss. On a sigh, his lips parted and she pressed her tongue forward slipping it into his mouth. Darting back and forth, deeper into the warm recesses of his mouth, she tasted the hint of peppermint on his breath before pulling back. She nibbled on his bottom lip with her teeth.
