Get ready for The Angel Chronicles.....

Book blurb from Amazon:

How does a girl choose between the one who steals her heart and the one who owns her soul?

Matt and Emily were created for a specific job. Raised and trained as the ultimate angel/warrior team, they are sent down to save, defend, judge and forgive, depending on the 'life' they've been assigned. What they don't realize is that the power of human emotions, such as love, anger, passion and fear can take over even the best of souls, causing them to make mistakes and follow paths that lead to confusion and heartache.

When the reason for their training is finally revealed, the angel/warrior team find themselves thrust into a world they know nothing about. Matt takes over the life of Daniel, a young man with a great deal of baggage. Emily becomes Liz, a girl living in a remote village who relies on nothing more than her own strength to survive. A violent storm erupts one night, and framed in the window of Liz's establishment is a frightening face. Let in by the soul of a Good Samaritan, the two visitors bring with them a past full of secrets that could literally change an angel's path and a warrior's plans.

From murder to redemption, this angel/warrior team must find a way to keep the faith they have in each other in a world that's ripping them apart.

Amy Lignor delivers a story that leaves you breathless from start to finish. With the right amount of tension, intriguing characters and a fast paced story line, Ms. Lignor delivers a story that hooks you right from the get go. It has humor, religion, emotions and a historical aspect that this author deftly weaves and combines seamlessly. The question running through the book is 'How does a girl try to choose between two guys-one who stole her heart and the other who stole her soul?' and Ms. Lignor does a wonderful job in keeping the tension alive as Emily-or 'Liz' as she is known in the human world-tries to figure it all out.

Meet Emily and Matt. They are an Angel/Warrior pair who descend to Earth to learn more about humans and why the world is in such despair. Loneliness, chaos and more are running rampant and as people pray to their saints, the angels are coming down to help as well as they can. Emily and Matt are sent to help and find the cause of this chaos but as human emotions get the best of them, both of them find they need to keep the faith of who they are to survive their time in the human world while trying to keep their mission in the forefront.

The author does a great job in creating characters that are complex, intriguing and very well crafted. This is an author who knows her characters inside and out. The only thing I had an issue with is all the secondary characters that were involved with Emily and Matt's (Liz and Daniel in human world) human life. It did get a little hard to figure out whose POV was talking at times and it would throw me out of the story a little but it did draw me back in after a few pages. The reader can feel the author's empathy for her characters which is what makes this story so unique. it is a rare thing for a reader to feel when you read a book.

Until Next Time is a captivating and complex story that weaves the story of faith, emotional journeys, love, danger and more within it's pages. Ms. Lignor is a 'new to me' author who tells a compelling tale that will surely charm you until the end. With a vivid imagination, this author deliver's one of the new years best angel books of the year. I am eager to see what happens next in this series & am really hoping it won't be a long wait till book two.

If you enjoy a new take on Angels, demons, humans and more then I highly recommend trying out Until Next Time by Amy Lignor. This is an author to keep an eye on in the future as she takes on the big boys in publishing with her mesmerizing and unique take on angels and warriors.
